Lighting HELP!! RID the shadows!
Hello! My Husband & I do couples on ST, LJ, & Cams.com. I do solo girl on all of those plus a little on MFC. We only started this past October. We purchased the Logitech C190 and it works great. But our lighting is horrible! We are not pro's at this. lol We have 2 bedroom lamps, an overhead ceiling fan light going and bought like a small florecent light that we place behind our cam. The shadows are awful. When I do solo girl its not that bad becuase I dont have my 6'1 husband hitting it from the back. lol But when we do our couple account the shadows almost blur out the real close ups we try to give. Please help! If you have any tips on what type of bulbs, placement and such we would REALLY be appreciate it!

Meant for the "ST" to be SM lol
Re: Lighting HELP!! RID the shadows!
The most classic type of lighting for portrait photography is a 3 light set up. http://www.diyphotography.net/3-poin...ting-technique
To get rid of the shadows, there needs to be a light source behind you. But you don't want to point your camera at a bare bulb because it will read really bright unless you use a lampshade.
Here's a links specifically about webcam lighting: http://strobist.blogspot.com/2007/05...o-webcams.html

Re: Lighting HELP!! RID the shadows!
I just have a lamp with three light bulbs, take the cover off so it emits a lot of light. Then I have my light on my ceiling. It seems to work pretty well...if I'm doing close ups or something I just face towards the big lamp and make sure the camera isn't casting a shadow or anything.
Re: Lighting HELP!! RID the shadows!
BlakeDahlia posted the links I would have posted. plus something about these "HD" webcams they don't take in light properly for some reason
Just noticed the pic of your room if that is what your camming is showing now then your good.
