For 18-20 year old dancers, which city in the US has the best earning potential
I'm in need of cash, I have some savings to get me TO a location, any location really, but I'd need to make money while there. I'm attending college this fall in LA but am down to live anywhere prior just for the experience and money. Does anyone know which city(ies) is doing best money wise and would hire a 19 year old dancer. Besides money wise, if you have info on the mileage and type of club it is too that'd be cool. Thanks a lot :)

Re: For 18-20 year old dancers, which city in the US has the best earning potential
^That sounds like.....pretty terrible advice. X.x
Anyway, OP - in addition to trying to find a place that has a high earning potential for under-21 dancers, be sure to think of how much it will cost to live in that area too. Keeping your expenses low is crucial if you're looking to save a lot of money and not spend it in hotel/taxi/licensing fees.
Hopefully some more people can chime in here.....I'm not in the USA so I'm of little to no use to you.

Re: For 18-20 year old dancers, which city in the US has the best earning potential
High earnings ceiling? Not any higher than most other major cities.
-
Re: For 18-20 year old dancers, which city in the US has the best earning potential
Every person has a different city they make "the most" money in.
You're really better off just sort of... picking a place you want to go and... going there and trying it out, imo.

I could have misconstrued your post, but when I read "Just go to Vegas" and "Vegas has a high earnings ceiling" in succession, that was the impression I came off with.
Also, the cost of living in LV is low right now because the housing market and economy are still in the toilet. It's also highly competitive as I have written a thousand times, and unless you're over 21, you have to work in a nude juice bar. The nude juice bars are entirely different atmospherically, and have a certain kind of hustle. I would never suggest LV for someone who doesn't have at least 2 years of high hustle environment under their belt.
Nevada being close by, Reno is a great option for someone new who wants to go with a tourist clientele. I actually knew (and still know) a handful of girls who live in SF/Bay Area and dance in Reno instead. Wild Orchid is a great club, pretty established. They just opened a new Penthouse out there too. You might check it out.

Re: For 18-20 year old dancers, which city in the US has the best earning potential
This is such a broad question I wouldn't even know where to begin. There are SO many other factors than just your age. And nobody can accurately predict where in this country you're going to make the best money. Maybe just focus on a specific city and do a search on here for clubs in that location? I mean, we can answer specifics a lot more readily.

Ok........ this was the OP's post

How is that a half assed question? It's a legitimate question. It's simple, if the question annoys you/you have nothing nice to add at all, ignore the thread and don't post nonsense. I don't know what some of you get out of being catty. You give the girl shitty information and you justify your actions by saying her question is half assed. Please.
Thank you Med and 4eva for answering this ladies's question.

Mediocrity has been here since 06, and you've been here just over a year BOTM. If Med can tolerate posting a decent, thought-out answer after reading "countless threads like this" in the past 6 years then I should think you can to.
If not, maybe stop posting?

Hahahah, thank you for refraining from rolling your eyes and instead answering my question "not completely" serious, your time is obviously very precious.
But really, enlighten me as to how my question is "half-assed" ? Because I said any location? Um yeah, because I'm willing to move to ANY location. Do you want me to narrow it down to a certain part of the country even though I'm willing to move virtually anywhere? Makes no sense.
Anyway, thanks everyone else who answered. Living costs are not of concern to me much. I've been reading throughout the boards and it seems a lot of people have a lot to say about every location and some have stripped in multiple locations, so I thought I'd ask to see if anyone had an idea of which city would be best to strip for a 19 year old girl since everyone seems to be very informative of the type of money that gets pulled in in each city. I heard LA was crappy or I would go straight out there.
A little more details about me... I'm 5'8, size B natural, 125 pounds.... ummm. No tattoos or piercings, long natural hair to my lower back? Idk what else to describe. But if anyone has any questions or any more tips that'd be awesome, thanks :)

Re: For 18-20 year old dancers, which city in the US has the best earning potential
How much experience do you have? Some places may have a high earning potential but could overwhelm an inexperienced dancer. Also are you prepared to do full nude or two way contact dances?I havent worked in that many places in US and im over 21 so I cant be of that much help but I know Key West is pretty good right now.And spring break is comming up soon. Also Myrtle beach from march to may can be very good.I dont know what the clubs policies are on hiring under 21s.It would probably be best to just phone them and ask.Good luck.
-
Re: For 18-20 year old dancers, which city in the US has the best earning potential
you've heard is correct. LA is, in fact, crappy.
Very high contact... very low pay for that contact.
I don't recommend Vegas to new girls for several reasons: someone just starting out may find theyhated dancing and therefore probably also doesn't want a clear paper trail of her being a dancer. Vegas is a harder city to get hired at than most with a more hardcore hustle where a nice new girl would be earn alive at some clubs.
Idk.seems stupid to me.
There've been girls who've recently traveled to NM and WY who've done well though. Lead to understand those are places where less skill and experience are required to make money. I like Colorado though myself.

Re: For 18-20 year old dancers, which city in the US has the best earning potential
If I can jump in here.... I would suggest that GABAYBAY research strip clubs that are either a 'juice bar' or 'BYOB'. They are far more likely to hire someone under 21.

Re: For 18-20 year old dancers, which city in the US has the best earning potential
so i'm going to agree with botm that the question sounded pretty "please-give-me-personally-tailored-advice-despite-there-being-dozens-of-threads-asking-the-same-question"-ish to me. need cash but can afford to live in any city in the united states? can afford to travel and relocate to any city? can afford the potential licensing costs of any city? really?

Re: For 18-20 year old dancers, which city in the US has the best earning potential
Reno is much better in the summer, Vegas is much better any time except the summer. They are complete opposites when you look at $$$ times. So I'd say Vegas until late May. Its about to be prime time there starting in like a week or so. I'd also say Dallas or Houston but you need a car which is $$$, Philadelphia I've heard good things, parts of Wyoming, the Dakotas, more conservative cities since they tend to be spendy because of the taboo, cities where there are major industries (oil, fishermen in season, major engineers, etc.) Depends on your look though... ethnicity, body type, comfort level (with contact), personality, etc. Describe yourself.

Because you didn't describe much about you or what you're looking for. Even in the last post. Your ethnicity (or what you look like you are) is important, your body shape, if you're toned or not, if you're bottom heavy (that seems to work against girls unless you go to an ethnic oriented club), the contact level you're comfortable with, how much experience you have, the atmosphere you like & want to try to fit into (upscale high glamour clubs: nails done, hair done, spraytan, etc., but good $$$$, mid-tier: not as picky, or dives: usually low $$$ potential but not always), your personality, what you "look" like (young & innocent, sexy & seductive, etc.), if you need a place that doesn't require a license or not (they can be pricey), if you are looking for places that don't send 1099s, etc.
Picking cities depends on wayyyy too many factors that you didn't outline, so there's no way someone can tell you the best cities until you give a lot of info.

Re: For 18-20 year old dancers, which city in the US has the best earning potential
I MAY be wrong, but I thought NY had restrictions on hiring dancers under 21? Whereas other states in the US don't.
New Orleans is great right now, Mardi gras. And there are hotels that cater to dancers, cabs are cheap. It's not incredibly safe or smart to go there alone though. Good money potential.
-
Re: For 18-20 year old dancers, which city in the US has the best earning potential
^^ Mardi Gras is over tonight, but NOLA should still be good through April! After Jazz Fest everything pretty much dies though. I agree with Laurisa about not going alone though- there were 178 murders in the city last year: . Keep in mind the population of NOLA is still only around 300,000. I love my city but go there with an open eye and don't venture too far off the beaten path.

I danced in NY, and I got hired at a topless club that served alcohol when I was 20. I wasn't allowed to drink at work and they took it VERY seriously, but we had tons of underage dancers. So I assume if there are clubs that don't hire under 21, it's a decision that management has made, not the law.

Oh my God. I didn't really how anal and petty some people were on here. I didn't say "which city has the best earning potential if I want this this this and that" because I'm not trying to write anything off. I want to know where the BEST earning potential for a dancer who is under 21. In regardless of what club I want to work in or how much contact.

Re: For 18-20 year old dancers, which city in the US has the best earning potential
Basically what people have said is that these kinds of questions are posted all the time on here.
We haven't heard any history of your involvement in the sex industry, if you have friends who dance that will travel with you, if you are OK with getting a dance card (shows up on your background check), where you have worked before, what you look like, general physical description, ethnicity, etc.
Some areas are really high contact with a fast hustle, a new dancer might not be ready to head to those areas alone, yet at all. If you can't hustle a town like Vegas or NOLA won't help you very much and you may be scared off by the contact and pace. Also, a lot of clubs in those areas have high house fee and tip out so if you can't make money you'll end up owing money. Some clubs in NOLA are sending out tax forms too, so you didn't say if you were willing to do your taxes.
Generally, strip clubs in the US will hire dancers age 18-20 even if they serve alcohol. It's the same for waitresses, shot girls, and bartenders. You only have to be 18 to work in those places, but 21 to enter as a customer if the local laws/rules say so.
Also, we can direct you to any area but ethnicity and body type are important in areas that have "big" money POTENTIAL. (The key word is potential). Atlanta might not work for an 18-year-old, 95 lb, 5'0 white girl as well as it would for a black girl. Las Vegas might not be as great of a fit for a red head with frizzy hear, saggier breasts, who is tall, and has some extra weight on her. So more specific club research would be required if you want to do well. Alternative 'punk' dancers with tattoos and piercings might also have troubles getting hired in certain clubs. I was turned down from Ricks Cabaret in NOLA because I had too many tattoos, dark hair, pale skin, and glasses--I looked a little too edgy for their customer base. Aside from that I've never been turned down.

Earning potential will greatly vary based on everything I wrote. You could make next to nothing in one city and then the upper hundreds in another. For example, I hear Colorado doesn't hire curvy girls, Texas is very high contact, Vegas has high license fees, NY has high hotel fees, blondes and large breasts do well in Vegas, bottom-heavy would do well in Atlanta, etc etc. It just depends. All those cities are good, just depends on all the factors I mentioned as to which one you will likely bank in.

LMFAO. Actually, YES this is 100% correct since the OP is just looking for the club with the most earning potential for someone under 21 and that's it. Highest potential for earnings there. In the thousands. The only thing is... you'll be hardcore fucking each customer for all that cash. But you'll likely be raking it in.
...See what I mean now? lolol

...you don't get it. The reason we cannot give you more specific advice is that you haven't given us much to go on. You gave a very brief and generic description of yourself, and what's more important, you've given no clue as to your experience, your style, or the type of strip club you're looking for. Are you looking for a high-mileage club? Are you looking for air dances? Are you looking for a club where all the money you make is in VIP? Are you looking for a club that focuses on stage sets? Are you looking for a corporate club in a big city? Are you looking for a dive in suburbia? Have you ever danced before? What music do you dance to? What style is your hustle? Do you cultivate regulars? It's not like strippers all get a weekly newsletter telling us exactly how much you can expect each night in each city. I guarantee you there are nights when I've made more working at a shitty dive than a girl made selling VIP rooms in Vegas. It's all relative. Everyone has a different average and everyone has a different style and it's impossible to tell you exactly where you can expect money because you can't EXPECT anything. We have no fucking idea where you'll make money. We could maybe say, okay, in this city there are four clubs, and these two are high mileage and this one is medium and this one is no touching at all, and these three have VIP and this one doesn't, and this one has a higher house fee than the rest, and this is the clientele you can expect in each club, and these two have shitty management, and this one is usually dead. But we can't say, "Gabaybay, if you work in Phoenix you will make more money than if you danced in New York." WE. DON'T. KNOW.

That's, like, half the point of the internet.
Maybe more...
