New 'payment processor' ... thoughts?
So I have been using OKpay for my indie work for a while now.. and other than the 30 day new customer hold and the fees.. I really like it. I was browsing through the forum and saw another PP thread.. I was going to add in OKPay but I came across this new site and it seems worth looking at although it's in beta. I don't know if this is associated with OKPay- but I think it is (that's how I came across it).
http://www.Bitcoin.org
It seems to be a type of 'virtual currency' - possibly like Second Life's Linden dollar?
Now, the first thing that turned me on was no charge backs. From their wiki: Bitcoin utilises public-key cryptography. A coin contains the owner's public key. When a coin is transferred from user A to user B, A adds B’s public key to the coin, and the coin is signed using A's private key. B now owns the coin and can transfer it further. A is prevented from transferring the already spent coin to other users because a public list of all previous transactions is collectively maintained by the network. Before each transaction the coin’s validity will be checked.
Another thing is that the payments are pretty much 'instant' and transferred within 10 minutes.
The rest of it is somewhat confusing like needing to download open-source software client and such.. I haven't quite grabbed the whole concept yet, still reading through their wiki. I see no TOS anywhere about adult transactions.. and I know OKPay is good with adult.. so I'm hoping the same is with this.
Just wanted to see what every one else thought about it :)
Re: New 'payment processor' ... thoughts?
I don't know a lot on this subject... but I will tell you that I personally would stay clear of bitcoins. The only time I have heard of this being used is when I got curious enough to make my way to the "deep web", after hearing about the group Anonymous and the whole SOPA thing.
It's a form of "currency" used to buy things on the "deep web" such as drugs, guns, hitmen, etc, etc, etc. I mean sure... you could probably use it in a legitimate way, but since it's purpose is to be as completely anonymous as possible.... I don't know. I would steer clear of it.
Curious to hear what others think tho...
Re: New 'payment processor' ... thoughts?
^^ Wow. Holy hell! Yea, I'm looking all around and there's a lot of questions about 'anonymity' and 'laundering'.
I found this through their forum: http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/que...n-transactions
It seems really complicated.. and now I know why. :D Thanks, Sarah.
Re: New 'payment processor' ... thoughts?
Yeah... just a word of caution... don't get as curious as I did about this "invisible deep web" so much that you actually access it. It's disturbing. Just google it instead! lol :)
Re: New 'payment processor' ... thoughts?
If you're looking for an easy adult payment processor try MyPhoneSite. They have a billing platform that they charge $39.99 one time fee for. You can use it for life, they don't hold on to anything, including money for chargebacks and have a new fraud system built in so chargebacks should rarely be an issue.
By clicking here you can sign up for the billing platform: http://myphonesite.com/blog-detail/2...Solutions.html You pay 20% and your pay is given by check, wire, deposit and occasionally green dot WEEKLY. If you chose to sign up with their phone sex site through their site you can get daily payments by signing up here, own your own store, take calls, etc. http://myphonesite.com/AffLandLink/651/549

Don't you have anything better to do like make money and not stalk my posts? It's not "more spamming" if you were smart you'd noticed that I posted this before I posted the actual other threads. Please read my track record on here, every since thread/post I've answered doesn't have a lick of "spam", that will give you something to do.

Except please remember that we can click you and see all of your recent posts, in order. I would say plugging your referral link more than once or twice in the first page of posting history (25 posts) might be considered spamming. Nothing personal towards you of course.
The others were right though in suggesting using your signature to plug your ref link. We're more inclined to click it that way anyway. Most of us have a brain filter for skimming past any posts that "look" spammy, even if they aren't.
Ladies, please try not to be snippy towards each other. We've got enough on our plates already.
Re: New 'payment processor' ... thoughts?
Where are all these Bitcoin zombies coming from? It's like out of the blue everyone's trying to shove Bitcoin up our asses.
Re: New 'payment processor' ... thoughts?
I don't know why this idiot isn't banned yet.
Re: New 'payment processor' ... thoughts?
Because apparently the mods are as dense as he is and now i'm seeing these stupid threads everywhere and models that don't know any better asking about this rubbish. Oy!

We have two of the best active mods on the forums :P I think it would be a nightmare keeping us all in check :D

@KittenFoster, every subforum here on sw has a different set of mods- Kaia and Isobel are only responsible for camming cannection. As well when someone is banned their posts/threads aren't automatically deleted from the entire board. If you find spam posts elsewhere on sw, flag them (the little triangle icon to the right of the 'thanks' button) and/or post a reply with a link to the 'bitcoins is shady' thread.
I'm all for constructive criticism, but Isobel and Kaia have been doing a difficult job amazingly well. In this case, Sara(h)/Terry was banned within a day of all hell breaking loose, and the other thread was left up so that others could see what kind of people are behind bitcoin/bitcam.
The spammer is gone and the camming connection mods stood behind everyone who posted in the marathon train wreck thread. I don't see any cause for hostility, tbh.

I already know how to do all of that. They infracted me simply for looking out for people. I don't feel bad about anything I said because I was spot on. No good deed goes unpunished around here though.

We're not always on the forum since we have other things to do outside of SW like everyone else does. :)
We take administrative action as soon as we either see a post ourselves or someone reports it. The first thing I do when I get online is check the reported posts and take action on them. Then it takes a little more time to read through the reported posts, make a decision and mete out warnings and infractions. I think that most people would rather we take a few minutes to make rational, informed decisions rather than go all ban-happy. The times I've just sent someone an infraction or warning without thinking or reading the entire thread first were the times I screwed up. Right EvilChick, right Melonie?
So yes, it does take some time because we are people, not machines.

I sent you a *warning* which carries no weight and simply serves as a, "hey, watch out" reminder because you were using rude, hurtful language and it wasn't helping the situation.
