How to RID yourself of a customer?
So we have tons of threads about getting customers and keeping them etc, but I have run into a little bit situation with one regular who I desperately need to ditch. I have been dancing for this custie for maybe 3 years, and I just want him gone. I started coming in so frequently while I was working, I dreaded seeing his face. Then when I avoided him for a few weeks, he pulled me aside and said some needy/pathetic stuff that just made me want to run further. He does take other girls thankfully, but last week when I tried to walk out fast by him, he chased me out and confronted me. I told him straright that he had gotten too attached. I know in any other club the answer would be "Tell the management/bouncers and have him gone", but I do not work in a very dancer friendly club. The owners will take the customers side no matter what the issue or how long they've known the girl, so I think telling would be out.
Are there any ways you've ditched a regular (on the off chance you've needed to)?
Just thinking about him being at work this week gives me so much anxiety!
Also, milking him for all he's worth is out, he doesn't actually have that much money, he just spends everything in the club.
Re: How to RID yourself of a customer?
It's been said here before, and it remains true - almost all stripper/regular relationships inevitably come to an end, either because he decides to move on or she does. This custie is past his expiration date.
I'm all for being as straight-up and blunt as possible in situations like these. It's sounds like you've already tried to "let him down easy", and that he hasn't gotten the hint. I think it's best to tell him in no uncertain terms that it's time your relationship (business or otherwise) come to an end. You don't have to be cruel; you can thank him for the time (and money) he's spent with you, and wish him well for the future, but make it clear that you will no longer be dancing for him, chatting with him, or anything else.
I know that confrontations like this can be really awkward and difficult at the time, but if you can just stick to your guns and get through that conversation, then (hopefully) you can put it all behind you. If he continues to harass you after that, it's definitely time to drop the nice-guy act, and tell him he needs to leave you alone. If you feel like he might be a threat to your safety, you could tip the bouncers to walk you to your car at the end of your shift (and make sure he stays there until you're in your car with the doors locked). I hope it doesn't come to that, though, and that your initial conversation will do the trick.
Good luck!

If he couldn't accept you being upfront about not wanting to see him again, just brush him off next time he tries to strike up conversation. Walk by him without even looking at him and if he tries to talk again, tell him you're at work and don't have time to chat.
Re: How to RID yourself of a customer?
I appreciate this can be a difficult situation. I tried to get rid of a regular who would come in, spend eight hours in the club and only pay me $200 for my time. Meanwhile I was stuck sitting with him. He would sometimes tell me that if I saw someone who wanted a private dance that I could go get it but that's not how it works obviously. You have to spend the time doing the ground work, making the sale. And of course he would get angry as soon as I started talking to another customer or even a coworker. It caused me so much stress and management would force me to sit with him because they were all about what a great customer he was and it was my job to keep him happy. So I had zero support from management, in fact if I didn't sit with my regular they would tell me to go sit by him.
I was reading the thread about stripping in the 70's 80's and 90's and it's painfully obvious I was born too late. My experience is girls are expendable because there is an unlimited supply of them and cheap customers who spend eight hours in the club and the rest of the time trying to get you outside of the club, force you to do extras, etc. ... It's so depressing. Time to think about something else.
Good luck with your customer.
Re: How to RID yourself of a customer?
Can you just be a complete bitch to him so that he doesn't want to be around you in the first place? Sit with him for 2 mins and then be like "look, are you gonna pay me or what? Coz I'm not sitting here for free" and just generally act like a little princess and stomp off when he won't pay you. Or just ignore him and when he's talking to you, laugh and walk away mid-sentence or something. I know it sounds harsh, but sometimes it can be the only way. I had one customer that wouldn't leave me alone, even though the most he'd ever done was buy me a drink, and I'd barely ever spoken to him. It took me acting like that to finally make him want to go away. It sounds like you've made it extremely obvious that you're not into spending time with him anymore and he's still knowingly trying to waste your time, so don't feel bad for having to be the bitch.

Act boring & slightly mean and if he ever pulls you aside say "look I have to work, I have big bills to pay, so if you aren't payin' I'm not stayin' bye." That way he'll either spend a fuckton and get to talk to you while you continue and act bored and annoyed, or you'll have an excuse as to why you can't sit with him.

Tell him you've gotta take a dump.
Actually, I hope to use this beautiful line soon.

yes, this is what i did with my annoying regular. the funny thing is, it didn't get rid of him but at least now, i can just come to him when i wanna do the champagne room, without having to spend any extra time with him. i just have him wait around till i'm done hustling whoever i'm hustling and he's fine with it. he realizes that i don't actually like him because i explained it pretty clearly to him. i told him that the only thing i want to do with him is dance with him, not pretend to like him or meet him outside of the club, etc. i also explained that my time is money and if he wants to spend time with me, he should be paying more.
Re: How to RID yourself of a customer?
Silent treatment. And if that doesn't work, act like you're crazy and tell him you decided to stop taking your meds. LOL
Re: How to RID yourself of a customer?
You have to go totally cold on him, no more bargaining.
If he tries to talk to you while you're working, hold up your hand in a "stop" gesture and say, I'm sorry, I can't talk, I have a customer. Then go sit with, literally, any other customer in the building & do your thing. Don't explain to him at all past that.
If he tries to speak to you while you're leaving, do the same thing, but say something like my kids' babysitter just called, she needs me to pick them up right now, I can't talk. Nothing else, keep moving.
Re: How to RID yourself of a customer?
I prefer this very simple method "LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!" He'll get the message loud & clear with that.
