Re: ATL/HOUSTON clubs, and can i get a travel partner please
Hi I live in Houston. I'm a newbie (kinda) and looking to start dancing part time this summer. As far as the best urban and mixed clubs, I am in the same boat as you (no clue). Sorry. But HI, and I will be looking out for this info as well.

Re: ATL/HOUSTON clubs, and can i get a travel partner please
When I contact a ATL club, they told me I have to be 21. I plan on going there one of these days, the money is big.

Re: ATL/HOUSTON clubs, and can i get a travel partner please
^^ Remember that in Atlanta you need a dancers license from the Sheriff's Dept to start working, and it's not cheap
-
Re: ATL/HOUSTON clubs, and can i get a travel partner please
$375/year in DeKalb Co... and no, you don't have to be 21 in all of the clubs.

Re: ATL/HOUSTON clubs, and can i get a travel partner please
yeah i know the liscenses arent cheap....gotta fund for it ;D

Re: ATL/HOUSTON clubs, and can i get a travel partner please
Summer's are rough in Atlanta - Dekalb County is $300 (not 375) and is transferable.
There was a big lawsuit out here about dancer ages in the clubs a couple years ago at the Cheetah - the city of Atlanta changed the minimum age to 21 - and the city LOST the court case. The minimum age is 18, I believe. I know for a fact that that is the case at both the Oasis and all of the Galardi South clubs in town.
I know I've posted in a number of threads in the past few years - I can only speak for white/mixed clubs on an experience level. After you search the previous posts on Atlanta in club chat, feel free to PM me and I'll see if anything has changed.
Anyways, off to work. =P

Re: ATL/HOUSTON clubs, and can i get a travel partner please
Hey girl I live in ATL currently Im a cam girl but have been thinking abt getting my dancer permits and start working at a club. Im thinking pin-ups, follies, or diamonds of atlanta. Prob pinups though for less competition and its closer to my house! Girl/girl duos make good money stripping and camming so Ive been looking for a travel buddy/roommate/ someone to hustle with too!! Don't know if you're still looking but hit me up!!! Im down! [email protected]

Re: ATL/HOUSTON clubs, and can i get a travel partner please
hey,
i just moved back to atlanta recently. i danced for a year somewhere else but haven't found a club (or really put the effort into looking for one) since i've been here. i'm looking at the clubs the poster above me mentioned as well as the world renowned magic city lol and a few others. if you get here sometime soon, let me know and maybe we can work our way through these clubs. it's almost too many options for a girl from a town with literally two clubs :O .

Re: ATL/HOUSTON clubs, and can i get a travel partner please
I danced at cheetah for a year- men really don't spend much there anymore. I got really sick of going home with 150$ (or even less sometimes)
I'm going to go to either pink pony or oasis...I know that these are totally different from cheetah and I will actually have to dance but is pole work mandatory? No poles at cheetah and haven't danced anywhere else so I cant do any pole tricks! Im a tall blonde with small 34C and in good shape. Do you think I'll do better at pony or oasis? And can I transfer the permit from one to the other?
-
Re: ATL/HOUSTON clubs, and can i get a travel partner please
You can transfer your permit from oasis to pony (and back) Just ask for it from your mom when you leave one. Contact levels and drugs were too much for me at the O, but it all depends on what you're used to. Pole work isn't mandatory, but you'll definitely want to perform. I found that the Pony is more performance based - I've always made more stage money there. The O doesn't require as much stage presence to do well.
I'm a 34 b blonde, ~2 with an unconventional but v feminine look. I fit in well at either club. Just depends on your boundaries.

Re: ATL/HOUSTON clubs, and can i get a travel partner please
I just started working at a club in Atlanta and I did not need a permit. My friend who started 3 months ago did and I was expecting to have to dish out the $300 but they told me they are in some "in-between phase" I think he said for 90 days. I don't know details or If I will have to get a permit later but if you are considering dancing in Atlanta now is the time to start.

Re: ATL/HOUSTON clubs, and can i get a travel partner please
Which club are you currently working at that doesn't require a license and does anyone know If oasis is stricked on hiring, do they hire black girls I'm 5'2 34b and a big butt I've heard some of the clubs are really stricked on race and don't really hire many black girls
-
Re: ATL/HOUSTON clubs, and can i get a travel partner please
Oasis will hire black girls and they don't currently require permits, due to their annexation by Doraville. They are a bit more... hmm.. accepting of different body types than the Pony. Mardi Gras also has a $55 (right around there- not totally sure) permit, so that may be an option if you're short on cash.

Do you think the pony hire a pretty black girl wit a big butt but slim up top?
-
Re: ATL/HOUSTON clubs, and can i get a travel partner please
They can be pretty strict at times but if they are in need, its easy to get hired. The house mom can be moody so u never know. You can always try tho. If not there somewhere in the A will hire u

Re: ATL/HOUSTON clubs, and can i get a travel partner please
Yep most HM's are moody, add in most club personnel! In my opinion..
I LOVE Ava though!
