shaved vs hairy etc - rant
lately i keep wondering, when did it become almost mandatory to be completely shaved?
like, 15 years ago - i was hairy and happy. sometimes i did some trimming, some tiny shaving around the edges, but thats it. no one ever looked at me like i was some rare specimen from an ancient zoo.
almost 10 years ago when i started camming i had some kind of a landing strip. sometimes i got lazy and let it grow back to full bush.
and guess what, no one cared.
both on cam and off cam.
and then i started to notice those looks in the gym - from other women, all of them completely shaved. i was like wtf, WTF IS GOING ON, why the hell would someone be staring at my crotch. oh, wow, i wasnt shaved, but they all were.
and... then it all began. several people off cam told me i should shave. that would be so hot, blah blah blah, having even a tiny bit of hair down there is sooo last century, blah blah blah, dont you want to be even sexier, blah blah blah, etc etc.
then it started on cam as well.
then i somehow gave in and started to shave. completely. its been years now.
to be honest, i HATE it. totally, totally hate it. i hate the way it looks, i hate the way it feels. and most of all i hate that what i see down there reminds me of... a little girl.
well, but since i live with the man i live with, i will keep shaving. even more than looking like a kid, i hate being ridiculed each time i let those hair grow. he just wouldnt understand. i have tried talking, explaining. nada. shaved is the only way to be for him. ooook.
and when i come to think about it even more, during the last few years i havent seen a single woman out there at the gym or swimming pool who isnt completely shaved. zero.
and i wonder what should i do in order to change the world - i kinda long for a day when hair extensions or dreadlocks will be in style. down there.

Hey Gina,
I don't shave either. I did when I was in my early twenties, but it's itchy and it gets too sweaty. We are meant to have hair and we should. I was trimming it when I started camming but I stopped that too, and being a fire crotch its even more a draw in. Your name says ginger gina, are you a natural redhead? I get guys that want to see it since there aren't many redheads out there, especially ones who don't shave. Luckily the man I am with likes me any way, shaved, or unshaved any part of my body, legs, underarms, etc, he understands that it's natural.

Re: shaved vs hairy etc - rant
I just like how it feels shaved and once when I wasn't shaved and rocking the bush, it tickled my guys nose while he was going down on me and he sneezed on my thigh. I totally get the not wanting to shave though, it is a hassle to maintain it

im a bleached ginger. not even a redhead, that natural colour is a typical nerdy ginger one. im a peroxide blonde now. all the hair on other parts of my body are pretty much of a darker shade than those on my head, but not too dark.
i dont mind shaving armpits and shaving legs (next day after shaving those dont itch after all and you dont have to do it that often), but all that fuss about shaved pussy and that it is a must - it just gets to me more and more each day.
actually, mostly at home. unfortunately.
could someone brainwash my man?

Re: shaved vs hairy etc - rant
It's all personal preference, some enjoy having a bush and some don't. I know that I really dislike body hair in general it just grosses me out so i like being bare instead of "jungle woman" as i call it. Plus I've seen some camgirls that have a bush and get fake cum down there in their hair and it just nasty to me :O but this is just my personal opinion.
So if your happy with your bush i say BE FREE and grow that badboy.. guy's don't really care if you have a bush, bare, landing strip, or a heart? I'm sure your man will get over it you can slowly grow it out and see if he says anything? :D

Re: shaved vs hairy etc - rant
OP-Thank you for this post!!
I'm in my early 30s, and I noticed the change in fashion as well over the past decade or so. I don't know why, but it's like the whole country (world?) became allergic to female pubic hair!! I personally am not attracted to the bare look (looks pre-pubescent imo, not my opinion of sexy) or the landing strip - I like a full bush. I only shave enough so that hair doesn't show when I'm stripping, and I've seen the girls in the dressing room looking at me like I'm some kind of nasty beast b/c I've got pubic hair.
If you like to shave, that's cool for you, but I wish it wasn't the societal standard to banish almost every trace of pubic hair. I miss the old days of porn and nudie mags, when there was hairy pussy all over the damn place! It makes me sad that it's a fetish now. But since it is, might as well bank off of it! I don't cam, but from what I understand it's the things that set you apart that make you money in the industry.

most of the girls i dated in my early twenties had their natural bush - i dont remember that as a problem. never got it in my nose or between teeth.
yet that sneezing part sounds more like something kinda cute :)

Re: shaved vs hairy etc - rant
I like the landing strip, I can just never get it lined up perfectly so I end up frustrated and shaving it off

Re: shaved vs hairy etc - rant
The guys who ask "Shaved or trimmed, bb?" make me laugh. So if I say the wrong thing, are you gonna leave my public chat? LMFAO.....
I'm usually trimmed, but my favorite regular told me that he likes it when women keep it hairy. Can't please everybody.

Re: shaved vs hairy etc - rant
If you go for bald, waxing is better. Let it grow for like 8-10 days and wax it with some elastic wax. It grows back slowly and hardly noticable. And hair is getting weaker everytime you wax. However once you stop it, after a while it will be normal again. I used to want laser hair removal, but not anymore. Fortunately I didn't have money for it. Now I realised laser leaves me without choices. Now I can be bald, hairy, trimmed, I can have heart shaped patterns, landing strip or anything. I don't want to give up this choice anymore.
I don't like when it is shaved, it feels crappy, but after waxing it feels so smooth and every touch is more intense. I was lazy and started to shave it a few weeks ago again, but now I will have it waxed, shaving is just horrible.
Anyways I don't know why do we shave. I started to shave it around 15, just cause it was so obvious. Like I thought, everyone shaves it. Magazines talked about it, I saw it in porn. I thought 'damn, this guy is taking me to a nice ride, what if he gets between my legs? He cannot find a bush there! I read it and saw it!' So I started.
At the age of 17, I had a 20 years older dude, he asked me to stop shaving, he didn't like it at all. Laterz when I dumped him, I continued shaving.
Nowadays, hair does not bother me, my husband doesn't mind it either. But I cam. And everyone shaves. It is ideal to be shaved. I know there are cuties who like big bushes. But but but. I don't care if someone who knows me finds my videos over the internet, and thinks that I'm a bitch. I just don't wanna be the hairy bitch. :D
Maybe the reason is very good marketing. No bald pussy, no need for pussy waxes, pussy hair removing creams, "specially designed just for you pussy" razors, bikini styling electric shavers etc. They must make everyone believe bald pussy is the way to go.:D
And when you have bald pussy, it says: 'Do you see it? I care of my pussy. I shave it, I use cream on it. I really do care of it. And what is that? A bush? You just let it grow and that is for taking care of it? Ew.'
So I think many women do not like it better, just there is that stupid little voice in their head: 'shave it, and they will see, you take care of it. Noone will think that you don't care of you pussy this way. In the worst case they will ask you to let it grow. But still better, than have them think you don't care of it.'

It's been so long since mine was natural, I can't remember. I probably started shaving it as soon as it started growing!
I DO prefer a landing strip or some 'artistic stubble' but I'm too lazy. Easier to just keep shaving it all off.

Re: shaved vs hairy etc - rant
this thread makes me LOL... :D
I, personally, do not shave. Everyone has their reasons, but my main one is ingrown hairs... I'd rather have a hairy vag than one with a bunch of little bumps and bruises. I have extremely sensitive skin and shaving is a huge no-no down there.
I also hate the way it looks and feels (on me).
But I think the big reason most men like shaved vag is so they can really look at it. LoL.
I had this discussion with one of my friends a while back and she informed me of the 'poof'. Basically, it's a little patch of hair above the clit.. a pussy soul patch if you will. This way, you can have the look of having pubic hair.. with none of the bullshit from your man about how it gets in his mouth.
I've heard men say that hairy vag's carry smells and tastes. I think this is true with any woman that doesn't clean properly.
Personally, I don't give a fuck what a man wants. It's about what *I* like.. and I've never had any customers say.. "I hate your bush, bb." "you'd be so sexy without that pubic hair." or any other variation of pubic hair hating. Honestly, I think women care more about hair/no hair then men do. :)

Re: shaved vs hairy etc - rant
I dont remember when or why I started shaving down there. In my 20's I'm pretty sure I didnt....damn! my memory is bad. I like the landing strip although mine doesnt seem to be growing in the way I want. Is it possible to have bad "hair days" with the pubes to? lol
Its all personal preference and what you want. Screw the guys that dont like it....most of them dont shave their balls for us

Re: shaved vs hairy etc - rant
I HAS AN ANSWER!
lol - knowing answers to stuff makes me soooo happy....even if they are just part of the answer as a whole.
The trends in pubic hair are shaped by basically two things: Porn and Swimwear.
In the past 30 years, this is what has happened:
Porn: We all remember (or at least have seen) 70s porn. Bush, bush everywhere! I have a deck of vintage "nudie cards" from this period, and they are soooo funny to look at because of the extent of some of this bush - they were HUGE! And that was the problem. I have seen 70s porn that is fully spread-legged, facing the camera, but you can't see a damn thing. There is so much bush that she may not even have a vagina. You could be looking at a human ken doll under four inches of dark, curly hair. So women started to trim it down. In most cases, this meant that you could at least see that there were pussy lips under there, but for most dark haired models, it still wasn't the best view. As porn continued to get more and more graphic (close up shots becoming damn near gynecological!) more and more hair came off, so that you could SEE MORE PUSSY! And now we have totally bald girls.
Swimwear: We all know that "sexier" clothes have been becoming more and more mainstream in the past few decades. Also - skimpier clothes!! Remember when you would decide whether to wear a bikini or a one-piece? Before the bikini became the only option unless you were over 70 or 300lbs? I love one-pieces, but I get stared down if I wear them on the beach these days, and they are damn near impossible to find!! Well, as bikini and swinsuit bottoms got skimpier, pubic hair receded to deal with it. Remember when brazilian waxes first appeared? (and when they meant having a landing strip?!?!? NOT being totally bald?) that was named the Brazilian because it came from the beaches of brasil, where the g-string teeny tiny bikini is king!
So there you have it! Two reasons why anyone with hair gets those sidelong looks like you are a filthy feminist hippy....

Re: shaved vs hairy etc - rant
Landing strip I say - The thinner the better , but there's got to be a strip for me - Else I feel like an infant, and that's not a good way to feel in the job . *shrugs*

Re: shaved vs hairy etc - rant
ManyRoses, that could actually be true. makes perfect sense.

Re: shaved vs hairy etc - rant
On a side note - I apparently fell behind the pubic-hair trends a few years ago.
I started trimming when I started to grow, just to keep neat, then I started shaving the edges so that it wouldn't poke out of my dance leotards. As time went on, I started shaving further and further in, for no particular reason, and when I was 14, I got a job working as a receptionist at a beauty salon. This was at the start of the brazilian boom (back when brazilians involved landing strips) and one of the girls told me I needed to get one, and she would do it for me for free. I remember her looking at my (fairly trimmed, I thought) bush, and asking how I ever expected anyone to find it! I was SO ashamed of it.....and I have shaved most of it off ever since! But I have always had a landing strip (Or what is apparently called a "pouf"? Weird. I just call it my "fingerprint" because its about that size), and in recent years at the clubs, guys have always commented on how "old school" it is that I have any hair at all.
I actually like the bald feeling, but I couldn't be totally bald. I would just feel like a child, and not sexy at all. Each to her own, I guess.

Re: shaved vs hairy etc - rant
I used to shave like once every six months just to keep the hair even. I like to be comfortable, and regrowth was just... gah. Besides, I like my ladyfur. It's all soft and unusually straight. I tidy up the edges though, keep the fur off my lips, but shave/wax everything else but my head.

Re: shaved vs hairy etc - rant
Personally I can't stand body hair and won't fuck anyone with a large amount of body hair. Lol.
-
Re: shaved vs hairy etc - rant
I hate growing it out more than a few days. I make me itchy so I just stay bald. I really want lazer done since they can do Brazilian now.
