Logitech pro 9000 not working on IMLive
I have faith that one of you ladies can help me with this issue because IMLive support has been a nightmare to deal with, and no help at all.
When I go into live chat on IMLive, I right click to get the settings menu. From there, under camera I can select my logitech 9000.
However, the video feed that is displaying is not coming from the logitech, it is still showing it coming from my built-in cam.
I am using google chrome and windows 7. My logitech works fine on its own as well as with streamate.
I find that I can see the video feed from my logitech if i am using regular, non-hd mode on imlive, but I don't get text from anyone in my chat room. There were half a dozen members in there for a few minutes so I'm sure at least one of them typed at least one statement to me, but nothing was showing up.
I tried rebooting, reinstalling the HD software, reinstalling my logitech software (which didn't make any sense to me and didn't work anyway, so its only result was me having to tinker with the cam settings again to get it how I liked it.) I think there were some other fruitless suggestions made to me leisurely by the customer support. The highpoint was when I got the same automated email claiming that they would have a solution to my problem "within 48 hours" for a total of 10 days. Over a month after I initially called them with my problem, their final response was
"Please note that the problem is definitely on your end.
Please make sure you go into the flash settings, by right-clicking in the video chat room and going into settings, and then clicking on the camera icon - you will be able to play with the settings.
If you cannot set the proper camera in there, this means that some settings interfering with the HD Streamer."
I don't even know what that means. I am furious. I have about $25 in earnings that kept rolling over as I waited for their help. It feels like they don't give a shit about their models, at least not me personally, and I was a best newcomer who works lots of hours, so I thought they would want me working? I even got emails from regulars asking why I hadn't been on. I could use my old cam, but I want to record shows, and there's no point in recording in low quality.
Anyway, the whole thing has been pissing me off for over a month, waiting for an answer that never came. 2012 has been a lot of dead-ends for me. I mean, learning experiences. ;)
Please help oh wise camming connection
Thanks for reading my whiny-ass post. Here is a bonus story to say thanks....This guy today was way too eager for C2C in exc, I should've known something was up. He turned on his cam, and he had the biggest, proudest, most disturbing brain-tattoo of a grin while his tiny fluffy dog, you guessed it, lapped at his cock. I leaned out of view of the cam, and for the first time ever, looked for a button to end the private. I mumbled "I don't want to watch that, you need to find another model." Hope that was entertaining. I wish I could un-see it.

Try clearing your cookies and switching the USB port your cam is plugged into. I find most ImLive problems are solved by doing a cookie clear. Tech support is useless but theyve been having problems lately.

At an absolute bare minimum: please report this guy to ImLive (youll need a screenshot or they wont take it seriously), post his info in the ImLive forums, and if possible post his SN in verified so some of us can pre-ban him. I have a battery of other ideas but at a minimum, please do some combination of the above.

Sadly, I tried clearing cookies to no avail. Thanks though. I'm afraid I don't remember the guys screenname, and I doubt he will be back. Otherwise I'd be happy to share and report! Honestly that didn't even occur to me, I was too busy feeling uncomfortable. ha.

I can tell you that it was something innocent sounding like James0425 or goodtimes557 or something like that. It definitely wasn't anything with k9 or anything suspicious like that. This gentleman didn't mention anything about the dog at any point. I would look out for any guy who, without even saying hello, asks repeatedly if you like C2C in exclusive but doesn't say anything about his dick.
Re: Logitech pro 9000 not working on IMLive
Yeah, clearing cookies and using a browser other than Google chrome usually clears up problems. Also, checking for windows updates.
Oh, and OMG. . .I just realized what "happy hour" on IMLive is all about. (Never paid attention bc I didn't care).
The model gets 7 dollars a WHOLE HOUR while guys take their turn to 'direct the show' and scream demands at the model. For 7 dollars an hour. And there are girls fighting to get happy hour on the IMlive forums.
Lol. I am in total shock?!?!?

Re: Logitech pro 9000 not working on IMLive
Thank you so much Nemcis and SweetPinkCupcake, I will try that next time I log in! I really appreciate it.
I'm a little embarassed to admit that I tried Happy Hour! It did suck to make so little, but I had a few hours where I had made nothing at all, and I wanted the guarantee while I wittled away at my free chat hours. I'm not endorsing it as a good decision, however, it did give me a little exposure boost, and I had lots of pvts from the guys who had seen my happy hour.
The only reason I like IMlive is that you can record and sell your shows. Mine seem to do well. Between the free guest chat, the charge backs and the techs, they can suck it otherwise.
