Positive post about Streamate support
I was going to post this in one of the SM threads (Streamate glitches/lack of support) but I thought this deserved its own. I'm talking about SM support and I have to say I am extremely happy with the way SM handled my tech/customer service issue.
I also want to advise SM performers to take screenshots of your DAILY revenue (the one that shows each transaction) by clicking the dates and not just the page that shows overall totals. I was really upset because some of my monies vanished. It wasn't a great amount but it is still MY money. I worked for it, and being that we only are getting 35% everything counts! I contacted Streamate with only screenshots of overall totals which made it impossible to determine which transaction(s) fell off the page. None the less, even though they were unable to locate the problem Streamate DID replenish my account with the difference I presented to them. Had I been able to provide the drop down portion which shows each individual transaction, it would have made their job easier and I do believe most sites would have brushed me off.
Streamate was polite, professional and treated me with utmost respect and at no time did they ever take an offensive stance with me. I am truly thankful for the customer care given me and very happy with the outcome.

There have been a lot of threads lately talking about bad experiences with SM support, what we want to change, what isn't good enough, etc etc. These may be useful - and it is certainly more satisfying to vent and bitch than it is to praise - (a sad side of human nature there) but I am SO HAPPY to see a thread where we can talk about times where SM is good to us, and are helpful and generally awesome.
When I first started e-mailing SM, i was frutrated by all the auto-bot responses. But after about 8 months, they disappeared! I started getting real replies that were obviously written by real people - and really useful replies at that!
Since then, I have had NO problems. I got the pause button enabled within hours, got gold shows enabled, got my member site link enabled, talked about ratings being removed....generally just got really helpful, awesome support.
On top of that, the SM twitter has been incredible too! Lots of RTs, mentions - and the odd little conversation, which reminds me that there is a single person behind that account, that puts in a lot of work for us.
Yeah, there are times when they aren't perfect, and I get the odd auto-response to a question, but in general, SM support has ROCKED for me lately. YAY streamate!

Streamate was the first site I signed up for and I've always had great experience with them.
ManyRoses, how do you get the pause button and gold show enable? I have no intention of doing gold show but it's good to know. Thank you!

Some girls just like them!! It is possible to earn more money in a shorter period of time if you do them well, but that isn't always the case. If you read up on all the opinions about gold shows that have been given in this forum, you'll get a great idea of the pros and cons of offering them. I personally just use them to mix it up from time to time!

I too have only had positive interaction with SM support. I've had to email a few times about the odd (cough, cough a$$hole ratings), raising my rates and support buttons. I've only ever gotten a canned response once and that was about goldshows.
I agree Roses that @Streamate is awesome. I don't think everyone realizes that the Twitter account he has is not his "job" it's in addition to it and he does it cause he wants to help.

Well customer service there has never been bad/rude to anyone. Even if you emailed and said "please pay models 95%!" they would reply with something like "thank you for your concerns and feedback! we hope to implement changes in the future and have exciting new features coming soon designed to increase traffic and revenue for all models!" What sucks is, they don't always mean what they say.

I'm happy for your positive experience with SM Support. :)
I know that when I've e-mailed SM or MFC, they've always responded quickly with a detailed description on how to solve the issue.

I agree streamate support is great, they are very polite and have always answered me quickly.
Thank you for the screenshot tip, I was already doing it after that some of my earnings vanished too, from now on i am going to take a screenshot of all transactions and not only the total.

oh scary!! I don't really keep track of vanishing earnings.. but I write down how much I make from all the sites and my hours everyday!! that must explain why i got 60 bucks from last year mysteriously tacked on to my check.. hmmmm I never questioned why i was getting money from 03/2011 i was just happy to get it!

thanks for this thread :) i just got a very sweet and helpful pm from vanessa (who is awesome!).
i've had a lot of issues with streamate support not being helpful, especially because i don't have access to my account email (it belongs to pj/dailypay), so i have trouble contacting them directly or receiving responses from them (they usually don't accept emails from my email, but vanessa does). a lot of the time the responses i get (when i do get a response) are canned and unhelpful.
but i will say that during times i've had really big problems, they might have frustrated me to death but the problems DID get solved. so i'm grateful for that. and without vanessa, i wouldn't have gold shows added to my account back when they were first rolled out - she was extremely helpful. they've also dealt politely with my emailing multiple times about the same issue and things like that.

The pause button allows you to "pause" your show for up to ten minutes without having to log off and back on again (and go through the encoder copy/paste stuff, etc etc). Its great if you have to pee, change laundry, answer the door, or just need a little more time to clean up after a show or get yourself back together again.
