Opinion: Should I go with saline or sillicon?
HI everyone, I am really debating on getting my first ever breast enhancements. I am currently a small 34B and would like be a small D in the end result. As weird as it sounds, I would like to have a more natural look than the fake stripper like tits. I am not trying to go for anything extreme just a nice full set. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Should I go with Silicone or saline?> sorry for the miss spelling in the title

Thank all the gods you are going natural. I can't stand the fake look. Really I am opposed to BAs in general except for the A cup girls and the saggy ones. But enough said on that score.
The best thing to do is go online and look at all the comparative pictures that so many plastic surgeons will have for the various techniques (under or over muscle also makes a difference). I had an ex who was considering a BA and spent many hours doing this, so I saw a lot also lol. There is an amazing variety.

Re: Opinion: Should I go with saline or sillicon?
Even as a dancer I would agree, I am not fond of the large fake ones. I have seen some good and bad of both. Some of my close friends suggests Silicone but I read that Saline is more real? So now I am lost again

Re: Opinion: Should I go with saline or sillicon?
In the UK we rarely use saline as it is considered less safe than silicone and more likely to rupture. Anything below 525cc is really very unlikely to make anyone of any size look "too fake", and you will find that surgeons generally won't give you the option to go bigger than they believe will suit your frame, especially if it is likely to lead to complications like rippling, double bubble etc. Go have consultations with as many surgeons as you are drawn to, ask lots of questions, take pictures of breasts you like the look, shape, and size of, and totally forget the whole concept of bra sizes, because it is meaningless when it comes to CC's (you will measure bigger than you look as implants are wider at the base than natural breasts so need a wider cup). Good luck. I am 1 year post op from having silicone implants of 380cc under the muscle, one of the best things I ever did! :) x

Re: Opinion: Should I go with saline or sillicon?
silicone feels more natural. saline feels harder. like a water baloon vs a mozzerella ball. lol. also, under the muscle looks more natural because there is more natural tissue over the implant.

Re: Opinion: Should I go with saline or sillicon?
LA,
Your friend is very misinformed. Silicone is very much more natural feeling and looking. Mine are 350 cc's which bumped me up to a D cup (DD now that I gained all this freaking weight)
I loooove my boobs and have since I got them. They're beautiful.
The only time people think they're fake is when I get very thin (like 110) my boobs get bigger when I gain weight.... but they never go below a D cup, no matter how skinny I get. Love 'Em!

Re: Opinion: Should I go with saline or sillicon?
Now between silicone and saline, go with silicone its more expensive but worth it! Most guys have to 2nd guess whether my boobs are real, they look faker in pictures (since when I arch my back they pop out more), but when I just stand straight/normally its hard to tell. When you feel saline and silicone you'll notice a difference! Since you want to go up 2 sizes, and if you dont have much fat on yours breats, go with silicone, itll achieve a more natural look and feel due the material and since girls that have smaller boobs get the natural look with silicone better.

Re: Opinion: Should I go with saline or sillicon?
I recommend the silicone. Won't have to worry about them bursting and then losing one boob.

Re: Opinion: Should I go with saline or sillicon?
Silicone will definitely provide a more 'natural' look and feel.

Re: Opinion: Should I go with saline or sillicon?
Ladies, thank you soooo much for your advise. I will consult with the doctor with all your advises. I have a smaller top, like I fight most small to a smaller medium top for shirts now with my small boobs (even with a padded bra) I am around 130lbs now, 5"4. I don't want anything massive (even if they look "natural") I seen Tempest666 boobs, they look great on her but its not what I am looking for. I just want a bigger pillow for appreance in clothes and my own piece of mind not really for work (does that make sense?) But thanks you all for your great advise. I am planning for August if I can get the money up for it.

Re: Opinion: Should I go with saline or sillicon?
You know, I am STILL struggling with this. On one hand, I know I have an allergy to liquid/gel silicone. However, this really does not affect me if it is in a hard shell, which it is. I have the liquid gel in my lips which was a big mistake (no solid shell). My issue is that... should I go for saline or for silicone? On one hand, if the silicone leaks, that's bad bad news. On the other, saline can grow microphages, bacteria, and even mold because salt water is not always sterile. So its really a gamble both ways, at least in my case. I would jump allllllll over gummies if they were offered here, but they're not yet.
Which one are you going with OP?

Re: Opinion: Should I go with saline or sillicon?
ummm Gummies uh.. i wonder how much they cost. I don't know any doctor that does those procedures. Made my appt with a doctor close by Boston to me for Friday. I hope they can clarify all my fears, concerns and questions.

Are you sure? I thought gummies weren't approved in the US yet? Are you sure he's not just using silicone ones and telling you they are gel-like (aka normal silicones)? I had one doctor try to pull that one on me. So dumb.

Re: Opinion: Should I go with saline or sillicon?
i am going to do some research on these "gummies". Some of the websites I have seen that FDA has not approved them yet. So I don't think they are in the US yet. The doctor I found is only charging a thousand for a difference for saline and silicone. So, maybe silicone since everyone here seems to agree with silicone. Now all I got to do is actually work more consistently to make my goal.

Re: Opinion: Should I go with saline or sillicon?
I dance with a girl who has gummies and they are fucking amazing. She has like F cup boobs but they look and feel real. I think they were way more expensive than silicone or saline, but cosmetic surgery is definitely something to never cheap out on.
The idea of moldy boobies from saline is terrifying. ewwwwwww

And what's even more terrifying is that you would NEVER know til they are taken out and opened. If you have salines and are getting sick for no reason, that is always a likely culprit.

Re: Opinion: Should I go with saline or sillicon?
The "gummies" feel a bit harder and wont leak like the co-gel silicone in the US, but it's still made from a silicone. Most implants now (saline and silicone) are made with a silicone outline to reduce leakage and give the implant a harder shell. The "gummies" are not offered in the USA currrently, but did have trails 2(?) years ago. They stopped taking testing clients. I personally don't see anything special with the "gummies" as its harder than co-gel silicone which I think defeats the purpose of the "natural" feel, though the shape gummies give is a nice bottom rounded slope which gives a nice look.

Re: Opinion: Should I go with saline or sillicon?
Round smooth silicone should give you that look you want.
-
Re: Opinion: Should I go with saline or sillicon?
P.S. I got the gummies in Brazil. They look nice but not as soft as I want them to be. Still softer than saline, but still. I'm gonna switch to the liquidy gel, feels like slime.

Re: Opinion: Should I go with saline or sillicon?
What about silicone anatomicals? The most natural boob jobs I've seen had these. I personally was too paranoid to go for them though due to fear of rotating but I work out a lot. If you don't do too much pole or chest workouts they might be perfect.

Re: Opinion: Should I go with saline or sillicon?
I went with silicone. I figure if you're going to have a bad reaction as some claim, you're fucked either way because the saline implants have silicone in the shell anyway. I love my new tits, they're still new but they look better than my step mom's saline implants.

Yes but the makeup is completely different. Hard silicone, like in the silicone shells and in pacemakers, etc. cannot be absorbed by the body. It doesn't melt. It doesn't flake off unless its textured (which its usually not). Even textured implants have been proven to often cause a rare form of lymphoma, and that's because the textured pieces of silicone flake off and are absorbed by the body. They've already proven that. But otherwise, solid silicone does not seem to be much of a problem.
Liquid/gel silicone with no shell, on the other hand, is continually absorbed by the body. There is no shell, so it easily gets into the blood stream. It never ends and often builds up. Kind of sucks. Wish I had never gotten lip injections.
Here's the thing. Perhaps this is just a coincidence, but okay. When I was a young toddler, I had (hard) silicone tubes put in my ears. Not many problems. When i was 19, I had (liquid/gel) silicone injected into my lips and was very sick (autoimmune problems) afterward. I'm still sick, but babying my body, not eating gluten, eating little-to-no dairy, and living in a warmer climate does wonders to really minimize the negative.
Silicone implants were taken off the market for most of the 90s because they were thought to induce autoimmune problems (namely in those who are genetically prone to them). It was apparently proven not have no correlation, but the studies were not properly done so I really don't believe it. Without even knowing all that, I got permanent silicone lip injections and its been hell since. My lymph nodes in my throat swelled up to the size of golf balls, I lost my voice for months, I was very very sick. Now, I am not 100% sure this was caused by the silicone, but after years of trying to figure out why/how this happened, that's the only thing that changed for me. I got silicone injected, and the throat is close to the lips. It could have been random chance, but the more I researched, the more I found such similar cases to mine. Coincidence or autoimmune-inducer? So seeing how my body has been affected by the amount equivalent to a teaspoon of silicone, I don't even want to know how my body would react with silicone implants- especially if they leaked. Nothing can 100% detect a leaking silicone implant. Or for all I know, nothing would happen and I'd be fine. But do I want to take that risk all for slightly squishier boobies?
Chances are the silicone would never leak if they were changed often enough, but there's still that risk. Once liquid/gel silicone is in your body without a shell, you can never have 100% of it completely removed. The damage has been done. So I were to get silicone implants and they leaked, not only would I have left over permanent silicone residue in my lips, I'd then have it in my chest as well. That's my personal dilemma.
