which makes more sense? apt or a roomshare
Hi ladies, I am in the process of saving up and moving out but Im just wondering which makes more sense to rent an apartment to myself 1/2 bed or just rent a room in a house? Im thinking renting a room in a house would be more social /cheap but not great for camming especially when custies want to hear you moan lol, but an apartment would feel lonely but also more privacy to do camming but costs more? this will be my first time ever moving into a place by myself I only ever moved into places with my ex.
Im very bad at descisions :-X

If you could afford to live by yourself, I would do that! You will be working so there's no time for loneliness!
Re: which makes more sense? apt or a roomshare
deff. by yourself...
u dont want people to hear u scream" yea... fuck me hard!!" :D
or do u....? :P
Re: which makes more sense? apt or a roomshare
the privacy of your own place will reap its benefits. i understand wanting to be social and the cost, but in hind sight i think you have the ability to make much more in your own space at whatever times you feel. If you're having a slow week, you can go on at anytime not just when you wont disrupt your roommates. But maybe make some definate 'rules' like going to see a friend however many times a week. Personally, I always make sure I take 1-2 days off a week. Even if I don't realize it right away I feel like camming too much makes you kind of like 'routine'. After a break also I notice I get bigger tips from custies missing me :D . Of course though, I'm pretty comfortable being on my own. You having said you havent moved out on your own besides with your ex, maybe you will enjoy it! :) and if not, you can always look for a room to rent after knowing the whole on your own thing doesnt mesh well with you. best wishes!

there's also 'security' considerations ... if other residents / visitors to the shared house are all too aware of your adult webcam activities and the high amount of earnings it provides !

Personally, I would always choose to live alone if I could afford it!
Maybe I have just had bad luck with roommates, but I have never had a happy roommate situation....lots of awful ones though!!!
It DOES depend on your personality - I am a natural hermit, and never feel the need to be around people, so I don't get "lonely", but that is just me. I do know lots of people who would hate to live alone...
In terms of camming, there are some considerations with roommates:
- Its hard to hide. You would have a lot of explaining to do, and would probably get found out eventually...so if you are in the camming closet, this would make it more difficult to stay there.
- Sharing internet. Depending on your roommates internet usage, you may find that it is difficult to work when they are on - living with a hardcore gamer is going to impact your stream!!
- Noise control. Unless you cam without sound (bad idea, $ wise) or fully soundproof your room, you are probably going to be overheard, and there is very little more awkward than your roommate overhearing you talking about "tickling your dick with my toesy woesies" (direct quote from one of last nights shows, btw!)
- Respect! Hopefully, you would live with people respectful of privacy, but I do have a little horror story about a friend whose houseguests thought it was ok to go through her costume closet, try stuff on, then have sex wearing it. *shudder
If you do decide to go with a roommate, screen very, VERY carefully. It may seem like nothing, just someone to split the bills with, but remember, you are sharing a LOT. There can be security issues (not just with them stealing from you, but with them forgetting to lock doors, windows, or letting in others who may steal from you!), credit issues (if you are both on the lease, and they default, it affects your credit. Or, if they are consistently late paying bills or rent in your name, it affects your credit) and reference issues (if your roommates are loud or obnoxious, it can affect your ability to get a good reference from the landlord for future rentals).

LOL, OMG, do you think my roommate know? I'm very quiet when I'm on cam.

definitely find a place by yourself if you can. Just moved into someone's apartment and I'm always wondering if he's gone or not. He said he'd always be working but..he's not. Not feeling too comfortable about moaning or talking dirty while he's in the next room. Ugh.
Re: which makes more sense? apt or a roomshare
i lived with about 20-30 different roommates over six years (4 bedroom random roommate assignment apts) before i got my own place (last august). it really affected my work. i got pretty lucky roommate-wise, not a lot of drama, but just something about living with people and having little privacy to make noise/walk around in lingerie and makeup/etc. really fucked with my head. and it fucked with my money because i had a lot of anxiety about working. i feel so much better since i've moved out by myself, and i make more money now.

The ones who say "I'm never home. I'm always working!" are the ones who are home the most >.<

I was really hoping my roommate didn't hear that one...lol.
Take this as a reminder to just live alone though unless you're okay with your roommate potentially hearing those kinds of things. xD
Hahahahaha!! So glad that I am not the only one who gets this guy - I was trying SO hard not to crack up at this stuff!!

Live alone if you can afford it.
Once I could afford it, I got a place to myself.
It's so hard to make money camming with roommates!
Re: which makes more sense? apt or a roomshare
YOURSELF serious LOL so many pit falls to rooming it up. They don't clean up after themselves leaving the common room a pig sty, you hear the head board banging around like crazy, they invite their loud and obnoxious friends over for a VERY late night party, and there are MANY other issues with it.
Re: which makes more sense? apt or a roomshare
Apartment ALONE. I hate having roommates. You could always find a loft/apt in a downtown area. I as just visiting a friends and her lofts go out every night on the patio and rink and hang out. If you find a place with young people you wont be lonely
