Re: Camgirls! The law of attraction really does work!
For the same reason why anyone has posted on here I guess...not everyone may think I'm wasting my time, someone may find the information useful. If they don't, it doesn't really matter.
Why are you wasting your time wondering why I'm supposedly wasting mine?

Anyways... not very sure why you are commenting negatively on a post about positivity... ofcourse everyone is welcome to their own opinion, but I guess I wouldnt do that cuz thats just part of my belief in being positive....
How is an opposing opinion 'being negative?'
See, this is what drives me batty about this whole "Law of Attraction" thing. So, you are allowed to dismiss other people opinions outright without consideration because that is your 'belief in being positive?'
The logic fail in this statement is so painful I am not going to try to dissect it, for fear of going crazy trying to logic the crazy.
P.S. The belief in God is not 'more flawed' than 'The Law of Attraction'. Neither are based in science which means both are essentially based on 'faith', which is 'belief without reason'.

Re: Camgirls! The law of attraction really does work!
Sorry to derail this thread more than the train-wreck it has already become, bubblegumbitch (oh, btw way I never did congratulate you on your new keyboard! Way to rock it!)
I wanted to pass on a little bit of trivia that you can use at dinner parties. Consciousness (loosely thought of as that part of us that has thoughts) cannot be scientifically proven. Google the 'Hard problem of consciousness' if you ever need interesting reading in the bathroom. Patricia Smith Churchland has famously remarked that "Pixie dust in the synapses is about as explanatorily powerful as quantum coherence in the microtubules.
Now, let's think about this for a second. Each of us reading this knows that we are consciousness (at least I hope we all do! I must admit I am not certain till after my first couple cups of coffee.) Yet, this definative experience can not be scientifically proven.
How could the whole 'Law of Attraction' thing be so scientifically cut and dry we we can't even scientifically prove we even are conscious?

I am probably going to get shot for stepping into this uncharted territory, but the law of attraction pretty much is EXACTLY the same thing as prayer. Its blind faith and re-routing energy (since everything is energy and energy vibrates at different frequencies... matter is just slow-vibrating energy) in the direction you want it to go. Its seriously the same thing. So that's very true.

Oh lawd, okay I'm really going to be shot now, but yes I agree. Consciousness is my favorite field of study, so this is prodding me and I will now open my personal pandora's box.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I theorize that some extraterrestrial mixed animal DNA with extraterrestrial DNA and created humans. Mythology and old texts are essential true, not just magical thinking. The difference is that "god" or "gods" were actually just extraterrestrials whose "magical" powers could not be explained by humans at the time so they deemed them gods. Then essentially the equivalent to modern-day media back then (people in charge for personal gain) warped this belief in god into a a devout religion in order to control the masses.
Look at disease. Seriously, you can look at which diseases run in your immediate family, then trace your family history back to a certain village and you'll find thats where it originated. Take for example celiacs disease (your body's inability to digest gluten). It seriously stemmed from certain areas where it was too cold for grains to grow... so people who have DNA from those areas, who inherit those HLAs, often have celiacs. Its crazy, really. Why has our DNA not caught up if we evolve? Our DNA has stayed the same, yet it should have adapted- or at least started to adapt by now. Yet every time our DNA has "evolved" its been a massive jump... like someone assisted with it.
Trying to come to a conclusion about consciousness is pointless because human consciously is vastly limited. Picture... a cat. Pretend you are a cat looking at a human. You don't have the same level of consciousness as a human, so you will never be able to understand things as in-depth as a human can. So essentially... we are cats in this analogy. And extraterrestrials are humans in this analogy. We will never have the same high level of consciousness as extraterrestrials. We will never understand all that they understand. We will never have that level of consciousness, so a lot of things will never make sense (like the law of attraction).
"Consciousness" is an extraterrestrial thing. at least the degree to which humans have it. Its a spiritual thing. The spirit cannot be proven, but its there trust me. Ghosts cannot be proven. A ghost is a spirit. You can summon spirits (trust me I've done it and it will manifest in the form of EVP if you record it). Spirits not in a body live in a different dimension, but they can come into ours. Their dimension vibrates at a much higher frequency from our own so its invisible. Anything that vibrates at a really high frequency is invisible. And considering we live in a world with a slower vibration (i.e. mass and matter), we cannot prove something which does not exist in mass and matter.
We, as humans, do have powers we can tap into. Seeing and talking to ghosts is a common one. Intuition. Synchronicity (which is essentially the manifestation results of the law of attraction). But the media will never let you believe those exists, and they will deem you as a schizophrenic before they would ever admit to any of these actually existing (including extraterrestrials). But those that have had paranormal encounters definitely will understand all that I'm writing.
So anyway, what I'm trying to say is: I hate religion debates. Because honestly, I really believe that religion is real, extraterrestrial theory is real, and evolution (assisted) is real. So there will never be a winner if they are all correct. And the same goes for the law of attraction. Its essentially the scientific breakdown of prayer (quantum mechanics).

LOVE everything you just said GlamourRouge... thats exactly my thoughts on aliens, ghosts, conciousness, disease, the origin of humans, religion etc. Im a bit of a nerd when it comes to this stuff, love watching and reading up on it.

Re: Camgirls! The law of attraction really does work!
hmm i dont know about ghosts.. i mean mostly because i believe in God, and i feel that the God can work though the law of attraction. God is love.. therefore i dont think he could ever let any spirit wander the earth sad and alone... and i dont think its a punishment for bad souls.. i mean some people say they see ghosts of people who had very traumatic deaths like car crashes.. i guess maybe ghosts are demons who can take the form of loved ones, but i dont know im still figuring that one out. i believe in aliens too, whether they are us from the future, or not.. ive seen dozens of videos of people with near death experiences and it always fascinates me. i just hate people who say "oh people with near death experiences dont have spiritual encounters, they are just tripping on DMT so its not real" ... DMT is a drug and you can trip hard on it, your body makes it when you dream and when you die, but DMT is also a spirit molecule and i truly believe it can seperate you from your body and bring you somewhere else, literally. some drugs (like cough medicine) can force you out of your body and you can reach different platous, its very spiritual.

Re: Camgirls! The law of attraction really does work!
What means the ghosts would be sad and alone? I think that when a body dies, the soul doesnt die, theres still an energy... an energy that could maybe be visible if we were capable of entering into a different dimension, or it can sometimes come into ours. But if all souls are in the same dimension, they would see eachother and wouldnt be alone. I dont think they would be necessarily sad either. Eventually energy dies too though. What happens to the spirits then, I dont know. I also somewhat believe in reincarnation too, so I dont know how that fits in.

They choose a new body to enter after picking one major life theme they want to accompllish. The length of time before they decide to enter a new body varies. Thats why you hear a lot about past life recollections and stuff on the news sometimes though. Like people having explicit knowledge of a place or an event even though they are like a child or something so they'd have no way to know that information.
Yeah no, spirits/ghosts aren't sad. You don't really feel emotion as a spirit. I mean, kind of I guess. But its like how you feel when you're dreaming. Time and physical emotions don't exist. Some just have a lot of energy attached to them. Extreme states of physical emotion in a physical body means more personally harvesting more energy. Therefore... hmmm maybe making it easier for them to manifest as a spirit? But any person's spirit can be summoned.
Tripping on DMT or Ayahuasca has to do with activating the pineal gland. Its a gateway. And in even mythology or religious texts its talked about. The soul doesn't even enter a fetus until I think 41 or 42 days after conception, and then goes in and out of the fetus until the exact moment of birth. Supposedly. Books on shamanism and schizophrenia are both awesome because, by Western standards, they are basically the same thing. And it has to do with DMT production and mystical experiences.
This is just all stuff that I've read. I like to read a variety of texts and watch a variety of videos and then cross-reference what they say all say. Mythology, religious texts (those 2 are basically the same), psychics, visionaries from the 18th and early 19th centuries, hypnotherapists, past life regression therapists, psychology books, spirituality books, ancient wisdom from secular cultures around the world. They all give the same info for the most part, and most of it was published long before these cultures around the world could communicate with each other in any way.

Ok, I am confused. Are you making the statement that you believe that prayer is scientific and falls under the realm of quantum mechanics?

I am completely facinated by the response you have given. The more and more I read it the more confused I become. I have to put the whole extraterrestrial thing aside for a second or I will get too side-tracked.
1. Regarding the paranormal, the reason that they will think that you are schizophrenic is because it is scientifically proven that your mind plays tricks on you. Let's take a look at hallucinogenic drugs for a moment. The reason they work is that your brain is essentially built to hallucinate.
2. There is nothing mystical about intuition or synchronicity, refer to 'Blink' by Malcolm Gladwell for more details
3. I have no desire to change your or anyone else's belief system or to make moral and ethical judgements on what is 'right' or 'wrong'. My issue is in the semantics of calling something science when it is not and why people need to justify faith by claiming it is science. I would like to make the clarfication that I do not believe that science is 'better' then faith. Faith is faith and science is science. If anything I think people do a major diservice to the concept of faith by trying to make the arguement that it is scientific.

Re: Camgirls! The law of attraction really does work!
you guys! i understand your doubt to this, i really do! i mean how can you believe in something when there is no scientific proof! but thats how God is. and thats how the law of attraction is, except.. if you believe in one, or both, you will soon realize that the proof is actually there--when you start getting the results you asked for! i know now, that it cant be just coincidence, because of how often what i ask for actually comes true. it happens on a daily basis... like.. for example, i do massages on the side from camming, and sometimes i need money RIGHT NOW or im in shit trouble, (thats why i do the massages, $ right now, no waiting) i will focus, i will focus on a certain amount of money and a specific time and it always comes true. Even the exact appointment time, even the exact amount $ i asked for, even if i havent advertised in like 3 months. you know.. life is just full of irony, and we can take advantage of this if we look at it in a positive light.

Re: Camgirls! The law of attraction really does work!
I've manifested very successfully a number of times...but it wasn't the law of attraction, manifestation has existed for a long time and used to be called witchcraft. We can't just attract positivity, the Universe in dual in nature...every cloud has a silver lining and every silver lining has a cloud, there is always a challenge, always balance. We also can't manifest everything we want.
-
Re: Camgirls! The law of attraction really does work!
I don't know. I don't care what you call it. The more positive I am as a person, and the more positivity I put on there and the way I look at things.....helps me. It helps me to even be a happier person, make more money, etc... When I get down in the dumps, get negative......I make shit money, and everything bad possible seems to happen.
Personal experience.....I don't care what it is.

That might be the way that God and the law of attraction works. But it is also how the placebo effect works too.

Yes, different drugs can cause your neurons to fire differently so you end up perceiving the input from you five senses differently than you normally do but that does not make the experience spirtual in nature. It is only the meaning that you personally put to the experience that can do that.
Look at synthesia. There is a whole percentage of the population that their brain is wired so that they can essentailly 'see' music.

Okay, we could argue all day but honestly arguing beliefs are pointless. Its like arguing a favorite color.
I have read that, and it did not impress me. Maybe you should look into research that has been (and is currently) being done (on the paranormal) by Princeton University? Amazon princeton+paranormal in Books.
If its all in my head, can you please explain the EVP (voice recordings of a ghost talking that I could not hear until I played back the recording) jumping in to the conversation I was having, saying hi, saying i love you, saying relevant key words to my conversation? Can you explain ghosts that push people down stairs? Can you explain crop circles? Can you explain how the pyramids in egypt were built, how stonehendge was created, how large mayan architecture was built? Can you explain how psychics know what they know? If you don't "believe" in psychics, you can look at Edgar Cayce's published data on the root causes of things like psoriasis & other diseases that, at THAT time (early 1900s), no one even know what those diseases were doing (i.e. psoriasis was thought to be a skin disease, but later an autoimmune one). I really could go on.

I am truly sad that you think I am arguing with you. I am actually trying to clairfy your position. I wasn't being sarcastic. I do find it fasincating. As I explained earlier, I am not here to change anyone's belief system. It only bothers me personally sematically when people say that faith is science.

Well, seeing that I have an dissociative disorder and I have spent a lot of time studying neuroscience I have quite a few opinions on how many of those subjects are a trick of the mind but since I am not actually trying to argue with you I will just say correlation does not imply causation.

Seeing that I studied this in undergrad, grad school, and worked in a neurobevioral research lab for almost 8 months studying the long-term effects of a low-dose exposure to a certain chemical (PM me if interested but I won't post on here), and I STILL believe this, I'd say there's a reason.
But I would like to know how you would explain those things. "Correlation does not imply causation" is just a blanket statement.

Re: Camgirls! The law of attraction really does work!
For the record, I am very happy when <the secret>, <god>, <karma>, <$spirtuality> brings happiness and joy and $$$ to any camgirl.
What drives me crazy is when any <$spirtuality> choice is used as a form of social control of people. My problem with 'The Secret' is that is masquerades as positive thinking and people have a tendency to use 'the law of attraction' and 'positive thinking' interchangably but they are NOT the same thing.
Positive thinking essential says that you are better off thinking optimistic thoughts then pessimistic ones.
'The Law of Attraction' that is presented in the book 'The Secret' essentailly says that bad things only happen to people thinking bad thoughts
I have seen people on Stripperweb more than once tell other people in threads that the reason they are not doing well is because they are not being 'positive' enough.
Now let's really think about this for a second. What do you think would happen if someone was to say that someone wasn't being 'Jewish' enough or 'Pagan' enough or Darwinian' enough about their job a camgirl? Is there really a difference?
-
Re: Camgirls! The law of attraction really does work!
whatever anyone believes NO MATTER how extreme or crazy it may sound to someone else, if it brings peace, joy and happiness to they're life, who are they to tell them any different?
ppl get the wrong idea of what this "positivity" thing is all about. if you are only trying to be "positive" to make money, it most likely will NOT work for you. it is something that you truly have to want for yourself and you're life. it is something that has to come from the heart and soul and truly believe in. to summarize loveshooks basically, use this as an aid to help your success, don't just rely on it alone to do the job for you. meaning creating plans, goals, strategy, etc... "the law of attraction" or whatever you want to call it works with you, not for you.
i agree with you JAC, i don't like any kind of social control or a type of "brainwash belief" so speak or any type of propaganda being shoved down the masses' throats. this isn't what it's about for me, i just take what *I* need and what works for me and apply it to my life.
