Do you take the rest of the week off when your goal is met within the two or three days of the week? I have a hard time getting on cam after I met my goal for the week. I'm just curious if you girls do this too?!

hell no! all the extra money i make goes to my savings account.. I love to save I am NOT a spender... so i get excited once I meet my goal.. and that's when the real work begins.. When now the money i am working for is MINE!
^^^WORD
I'm the same way, the more $$$ I earn the more I WANT to earn...besides, if you consistently log off once the weekly goal has been met, it's near impossible to determine how much $$$$ you can really make
There's no reason why we can't give ourselves occasional breaks when we've earned it and have the luxury of doing so, but the rewards of pushing ourselves are so damn sweet.
@Marina, each time you reach your weekly goal hella early, do a cost/benefit analysis of working vs. doing other things. Assuming you're not currently sacrificing other ish like sleep, vanilla career goals, some semblance of a social life in order to meet your current weekly goal, if you find yourself consistenly making your weekly goal early it's probably time to up your goal to a new $$$$$ level of challenge.
Congrats chica :-)
Thank you loveshooks! I think part of my problem is, camming is only my side job so I don't take it as "seriously". I know I need to set higher weekly goal. I do push myself to work really hard during the first few days of the week then I stopped when my goal is met, lol!
Well, I do monthly and daily goals (not weekly) so it's a little different for me, but if I reach my daily goal I usually try to push and make more. Usually. But if it's a day where all the custies are annoying and it's like pulling teeth to get shows? Screw that, I don't stay on during those days! I'd rather take my little earnings and try again the next day when I'm not feeling as cranky.

Do it! I'll commit to two hours tonight if you will :)
I do daily goals only, and when I make my goal I HAVE to keep going. That means it's going good and I'm NOT taking that for granted. I have hour goals. I want to be on 8 hours a day. So really I have two separate goals that make it impossible to quit while I'm ahead.
You guys are so dedicated! I am NOT worthy, lol! I can only work 3 hours a day. Anything more than that I get cranky!
I only cam part time for a few reasons (been burnt out from years in the sex industry, health issues, anxiety, and soon back to school), but when I see my earnings go up up up, it makes me motivated to see my potential, like loveshooks said! When I came back to camming, I started with a modest pay period goal and within six weeks (I think?) I'm on the track to more than doubling it.
Also I try to work smarter, not harder. Clips, panty/etc selling, tribute/findom work...if I'm just going to be screwing around on the Internet and not doing something fulfilling or necessary (such as yoga, enjoying the outdoors, socializing, chores, cooking, writing, singing, etc) then I feel like I need to devote a good portion of that "screwing around" time to camming and other cam-related work.
I find taking the rest of the week off burns my work ethic big time. I just end up being lazy and get cam-dread. I often log on just for an hour even on my "days off" to keep on top of my game.
The way I see it? Once you've met your goal, all the rest of the time you can spend trying shit you'd NEVER try normally. Different sites, different personae, trolling like a dork in free chat, having fun instead of "working."
And you know... when I started doing that, screwing around once I hit my weekly goal? I found guys loooooved my "don't give a fuck, cannot bear to give a single half of a fuck anymore" attitude.
I'm also like anonymous camgirl--- I am not a spender. Never was, never will be. Even with crapola paying vanilla jobs I was a saver. Rainy days have happened to me. I don't like them and want to be prepared for them.

I also love getting ahead because when I strut out of my room I point to all my kitties and go, "EVERYONE GETS TREATS TONIGHT!" So we have a treat-and-nip party and that's always a goddamn good time.
LMFAO! That is so funny and cute Rosemary! When I do hit my goal early I get sooo much more motivated! Its the Best High ever!!
Do all men like licking p*ssy? Nope! There is your answer!
It really depends on my mood, and how long it took to reach that goal.
I have started setting daily goals, not weekly goals, but there are those days where I hit my goal in an hour or two, and then have the option of continuing to work or logging off.
A lot of the time, like Rosemary, hitting my target quickly is like an energy drink - I get all buzzed up and psyched and just want to keep going....Make ALL the money!!! If I'm in that kind of mood, then hell YEAH I'm going to keep going until I'm exhausted, and then I'm going to spend about 20mins looking at my earnings with a satisfied smirk.
However, that's not always the case, and if I kept working every day as much as a physically could, I would be back to burnt out and unhappy. I usually plan to have 5-6 hours a day free for work, so if I hit my target in 4, I'll probably just be done for the day. Part of the joy of working from home is being able to finish early! Or sometimes I'll sleep in, and then I'll only have 3 hours or so to hit my target, so I won't work the extra.
It also really depends on what else is going on. I'm far more likely to stop when I hit my goal when it is sunny outside! The thought of going and reading my book in the park with the puppy is worth forgoing an extra few dollars. Or if I know that my friends are doing something, or there is an event, or if I am in the middle of a great book, or a painting that I want to finish - in general, if there is something more interesting that I could be doing, I'll do it! But if I would just be logging off to sit and watch Star Trek....I'm more likely to work that extra hour or two.
I think it also depends on how you set your targets. Some people will work out their budget, and the target is what you need to survive - basic money for rent, bills, food, etc. In that case, I would be WAY more likely to keep working once I'd hit my target. I've started upping my target by $25 per day each week, and within another week or so, I'll be at the point where I am earning WAAAY more than I need for the basics - I'll be putting a lot of money to debts, and I'll have extra to spend. At that point, I think that the extra money isn't always worth the extra work, but that is just me. I'm not a big saver, and it's a lot to do with my own personal priorities.
I have a lot of health problems so if I make my goal, I take the rest of the week off.
It helps me with the physical burn-out.
OMG LOL!!!!!!! <3
I'm the odd one out... :( If I make my goal early in the week I'm like sweet..... vacation time! It's awful, and I get so pissed at myself every time I do it because I always end up regretting it! I'm really trying hard to work on this tho....
