Dishwashing Dildos!
Its an odd one, I know!!
I know that some girls have mentioned washing toys in the dishwasher, and I would like to give some of mine a good clean (usually I just soap and water them after each shift, but I want to get them really clean...). Couple questions about dishwashing sex toys...
Which materials are ok? Obviously glass is ok, and equally obviously, vibrators and anything with electronics is NOT ok, but what about jelly and silicone? Are these dishwasher safe, or would it be too hot and melt them? Hitachi attachements?
Also - where do you guys put them? In the cutlery rack? Where the glasses would go?
I never thought I'd be asking about sex toys being dishwasher safe.....LOL

Re: Dishwashing Dildos!
I'm not sure about jelly- but silicone is definatly safe to wash in the dishwasher! If you have a lot of toys it's an easy way to give em a really nice, thorough cleaning! ....just make sure you empty the dishwasher before your roommate does...

Re: Dishwashing Dildos!
I've never washed any of my toys in the dishwasher, but my silicone toys say that they are top row dishwasher safe, so definitely put them on top where the cups go!
Glass is for sure safe anywhere in there, but jellies I would not trust dish washing... could make a nasty mess/have them melt all over your other stuff.

Re: Dishwashing Dildos!
I live in the desert and no lie, my jellies have actually started melting in my underwear drawer. If they can't even sustain regular scorching hot weather I definitely think they'd be destroyed in your dishwasher, unfortunately.

Re: Dishwashing Dildos!
Thanks ladies!! Luckily, I just live with my man, and he wouldn't blink an eye at a dishwasher full of sex toys!! I thought that the jellies probably wouldn't be safe...shame, my major deepthroat toy is a jelly, and it gets the most use....ah well!
I wonder if it would be ok to wash them with the actual dishes....I would assume so. Maybe won't tell the SO that, though!!!

Re: Dishwashing Dildos!
Silicone, glass, acrylic, aluminum, steel and certain wood toys (toys that are protected with a waterproof coating) are dishwasher safe. Plastic would probably be fine.
I would avoid exposing jelly, cyberskin, PVC/latex, and "realistic" materials and any mixed silicone toys to the dishwasher and would be better to wash them yourself.
