Does anyone worry about their neighbors hearing them at work?
I think my neighbors can kinda hear me at work bc she asked who else lives with me. She's super nosey. I'm not intentionally loud at work but the walls are paper thin. My roomate isn't aware that I cam bc she's basically deaf. When she's home she has her tv loud etc. I don't really care if they hear bc I'm making money. But at the same time sometimes I feel like well wtf they prob think I'm crazy. Especially when I work long hours. Does anyone else have this prob?

Re: Does anyone worry about their neighbors hearing them at work?
Hahaha I always joke with my custies that my neighbors probably think I am the biggest whore in the world beacuse I am screaming a different guy's name every hour :)
I don't worry about it to too much because I tend to work the morning shift when my neighbors aren't home, and my night shift is a tip based site where I only do one show per night so I don't really care about moaning and groaning for 20 minutes. I have experimented with busier night sites and I do feel weird knowing that my walls are thin and I tend to get loud so my neighbors can probably hear me, but as long as you're not doing anything illegal I wouldn't worry too much.
Sometimes I feel a little guilty that I may be corrupting the small children who live next door due to my sexual squealing, but as long as I don't get noisy doing the primary hours where small children would be home (and awake) I really don't think it's anyone's business but my own.

Re: Does anyone worry about their neighbors hearing them at work?
I worry about this ALL the time! The walls/windows in my complex are super thin too and it sucks. I honestly feel like my shows would be so much better if I could relax and cum/talk dirty as loud as I wanted to without worrying about people hearing me :/ I mean sure I dont care what people think, but at the same time I dont need any extra attention on me since I live alone in a not super safe area. I try my hardest to keep a low profile so the creep guys around here don't try anything. I'm saving up to move somewhere a little more private, hoping to find a place where I neighbors can't hear me cough or breathe through the crappy thin walls lol.
Fucks up vid recording too, because the kids in this neighborhood scream all day long and no matter how much I try to buffer the windows/walls you can hear it in vids sometimes, which makes editing annoying as fuck. Not to mention the extremely loud trashy people talking right outside of my window. Geez this turned into kind of a rant lol sorry! Best advice is to hang comforters on the windows/walls if you can...seems to help a little.

Re: Does anyone worry about their neighbors hearing them at work?
I really worry about it. I live in a block and I'm lucky that I have the top floor basically to myself, but the guy downstairs I'm pretty sure can hear me. Until he complains I'm going to assume he doesn't mind!

Re: Does anyone worry about their neighbors hearing them at work?
Haha I think about this all the time. I'm in an apartment block, I get really loud and I keep my window open when I cam cause I get so hot. Not to mention I'll be running down to the patio every coupla hours for a cigarette in my ass-baring skirt and stripper heels. Every time I think someone's gonna walk out and see me.
I wouldn't say I'm worried about it though, I just keep expecting it to happen :P

Re: Does anyone worry about their neighbors hearing them at work?
Yes! I am a magnet for nosy neighbors!! I swear some of my neighbors (old and new) know more about me than the guys I date know!
-
Re: Does anyone worry about their neighbors hearing them at work?
I worry about it sometimes because I can hear the neighbors kids screaming and banging on shit, so I figure they can hear me. Then I don't feel bad because their kids scream and bang on shit all day making working a pain in my ass and making my dog bark all day.

Re: Does anyone worry about their neighbors hearing them at work?
you can't fathom the immensity of the fucks i do not give...lol!
actually, really, i worry about it sometimes because my window faces the courtyard and i can hear people talking standing in the courtyard a lot so i'm assuming that the maintenance guys can probably hear me. and i hear people upstairs or next door every now and then, although it's not as easy to hear clearly what is going on...so they probably hear stuff but maybe can't make out what i'm doing.
if anyone's caught on they haven't said anything about it. i don't worry too much. i'm paying a lot of rent for where i live so i figure...it's my damn living space, i should be able to make noise. especially since i live in a college apt complex where people are having parties every weekend and making hella noise. if they can keep me from sleeping on friday and saturday with all that noise...they deserve a little payback :P

Re: Does anyone worry about their neighbors hearing them at work?
I also have a roommate so I only use audio when she's at work. I cam with no audio at night so she doesn't know I'm a cam girl. Tell that super nosey neighbor of yours to google it if she wants to know more.

Re: Does anyone worry about their neighbors hearing them at work?
I'm a little concerned...my cam room/office faces into our courtyard (there are around 12 townhouses around a central square) and when the window is open, I can hear voices and steps echoing around the square....For the most part, I just keep my window shut and hope that does the trick - although I had to get a fan, because it was getting SO hot and stuffy in there.
I'm not overly concerned about it - I work during the day these days, so it's not like there will be any noise complaints, and I don't think that there are any kids in the complex that could make things awkward. I'm actually more concerned about some of the younger guys that live in the complex figuring it out, or thinking that I am a slut or an escort and treating me differently because of it....but at the end of the day, I gots to make my money!

Re: Does anyone worry about their neighbors hearing them at work?
Actually yes I have worried about it and probably still do but the one thing I can say is that they never see one person man, woman or beast show up to my door unless it's for a delivery of food or package. I'm always nice and pleasant and say hello so I don't think it matters anymore. I think they realize I just have some great toys because no one comes over. If anything I come off shy and we all know what freaks shy girls are right? lol

Re: Does anyone worry about their neighbors hearing them at work?
All the time!
Noone has said anything to me about it yet though.

Re: Does anyone worry about their neighbors hearing them at work?
Yes, this is originally why I had to move. Everyone lives in studios or with roommates where I lived, and I lived in my ex's studio while he was away. The walls were very thin and you could even hear umm people's bathroom uhh habits lol. To the right was a couple who NEVER left the house except for class 2x/week for a few hours (the guy's dad paid the rent- lol I could hear EVERYTHING) and were always very loud all day and didn't care. To the right was a guy who snored REALLY loud & slept against the wall we shared... and when he was awake, he would laugh loudly and compulsively, but luckily he actually worked M-F 8-4. Then behind the apt was a piano teachers studio (ugh) and then several people upstairs would blast music throughout the day no matter how many times you ask them to turn it down. On top of all this, it wasn't uncommon for families of 3-5 people with young children and dogs to live in these tiny studios and 1 bedrooms. So I had to work around their noise. What a lovely mix for someone who works from home.

Re: Does anyone worry about their neighbors hearing them at work?
Depends on where you live, but I have seen apartments advertised as having "sound proofing" Now, I'm not sure how effective this is, but it's probably better than nothing. I'm not sure there's a permanent solution to this, beyond becoming successful enough to purchase your own house :D

Re: Does anyone worry about their neighbors hearing them at work?
Every once in a while I forget my windows are open, or leave them open til I begin the "show". I usually forget they are open til mid-way show time when I'm getting into it vocally or whatnot. They think when I'm saying "ohh gawd" I'm moaning with lustful passion...but in my head it's ohh gawd I'm a fucking idiot, I left the window open.
I close them in the middle of my shows now..I don't care. I do worry at times,I know for a fact the when my windows are open the neighbors can here. But then again...all my neighbor are really cool so it doesn't matter too much.

Re: Does anyone worry about their neighbors hearing them at work?
Yes. All the time. I'm sure they have heard me, actually.
I am notorious for leaving the window wide open while I cam, plus the floors elevator is right in front of my suite so people are outside my door when they are waiting for it.
I have music on while I cam and leave the TV on in the other room, but ... yeah.... it can only help so much LOL

Re: Does anyone worry about their neighbors hearing them at work?
I guess we can look at it this way they're not paying our bills so fuck what they think. lol I was thinking they either think im a huge slut or a prostitute but oh well.
-
Re: Does anyone worry about their neighbors hearing them at work?
If I can hear every little thing they do, I'm sure they can probably hear me as well lol...I cam with music as well to sort of cover it up but hey, what can you do...We have bills so let em think whatever they want :)

Re: Does anyone worry about their neighbors hearing them at work?
I worried about it a lot since I could hear my neighbor talk on her phone sometimes. Before I started camming, I decided to hang some blankets on the wall. I have 3 layers and since then I've not heard my neighbor. I believe she probably can't hear me now. It also eliminated echos in the room and made the room quiet.
I had a bunch of extra fleece and foamy blankets and I bought screw hooks from Home Depot and binder clips from Staples. The binder clips are the medium to large size ones with the 2 hinged metal loop type handles. I screwed the hooks about 14" apart along the top of the wall, attached the binder clips to the blankets, and hung the clips by the screw hooks. Every square inch of the wall bordering my neighbor's apartment is covered now. It turned out to be a low cost and efficient way to "sound proof" the wall.
Btw, I used blankets that matched my wall color so it wouldn't change the color of the room's lighting. I also make sure my window is always shut before I start. If you have a neighbor below you, I would get a throw carpet.

Re: Does anyone worry about their neighbors hearing them at work?
I'm not very loud, but I do work all hours & unfortunately my different neighbors work different schedules. One works M-F 9-5, the other works 5a-2p, and the other works 10a-6p.
I kind of forgot about it for a while until one day I was just minding my own business hanging out with SO. I heard someone sneeze loudly. We looked at one another in horror. It sounded like the person was right in the room, and it had to be the neighbor below us. Since then, I'm a little more careful. I won't "scream" anything for anyone, I don't grind coffee or flax seed during ungodly hours, and I don't stomp around. But this lady has an awful dog that starts barking at all hours and won't stop. So I figure we're even.
As for the religious people next door, we're actually friendly with them and neither of them has mentioned it. Not that they would. But I doubt they'd complain either. Though the guy is a little nosey. When he has to bring back my empty casserole dish or something, he steps right into the apartment and looks around. My camera/ tripod was set up one time, so now I have to stand in the doorway so he can't walk in.
Also, I put a "No Solicitation" sign on the door. It's made my life so much better. No newspaper salesmen or Jahova's Witnesses knocking while I'm in the middle of a show.

Re: Does anyone worry about their neighbors hearing them at work?
This thread is pretty epic.
I figure that unless my neighbors complain, fuck 'em. I've gotten caught doing all kinds of ridiculous shit before (IRL and for this industry) and I've found that it really takes a lot before people start to question. Nobody expects they live next to a porn star so unless the evidence is blatantly staring them in the face, they don't think that you're a porn star.
I brought home a golf club the other day. I don't golf. My neighbors laughed and said, "You golfing now or is that for self defense?" I laughed and swung it in circles like a maniac self defense person for a second and then said, "Nah. I'm filming a video for school." They said, "Oh okay cool" and that was that. Thus far, nobody has questioned why they never see me leave for school or carry books around and I've lived here for a YEAR.
Of course, if your neighbors are nosy, well, that's not going to work, but I find most people only want to appear like they give a shit while not actually really giving a shit.
That said, I didn't think my other neighbors, who share a wall, could hear me. I can't hear them doing anything. Then one night after camming I went to the bathroom. I heard that they have their bathroom fan on (couldn't hear it in the room, just the bathroom). I heard one roommate yell to the other, "Hey man. Could you turn your bathroom fan off?" The other said something that ended in, "...she's doing it again." The first roommate said, "Oh. Sorry man." and the fan stayed on.
So. I could ask...but. Until they complain, fuck 'em. If it was really bothering them, they'd say something to my face.

Re: Does anyone worry about their neighbors hearing them at work?
tip 1:
buy 1 or 2 small fans and have them on near the window or door... or both
tip 2
buy a headset , this way u can speak softly in the mic instead of talking loud..
headset + music in your room + 1, 2 small fans = less worries
this is what I got
I too suspect my neighbor hears me.. and hes a single guy... I guess better than a family with kids.
I live in a house so hes not really close like in an apartment but im pretty loud and I too forget the window open and in the middle of the show I get up and close it LOL

One time I was out of state visiting my half brothers and we were staying up late gossiping. We put the fan by the top of the stairs so our father wouldn't hear us. Somehow he knew we were still up and seemed to know what we had been talking about. Well, the next morning I was coming up the stairs when the fan was still on and I very clearly heard my brothers talking. Apparently, the direction of the fan matters. It was blowing air away from them so when I was downwind I could hear them very clearly, but when I turned the fan around so now I was the one upwind I couldn't hear them anymore.
In one direction the fan transmitted what we said. In the other direction it absorbed what we said. Just another thing to worry about. :)
