Has anyone used their phone to "scan" or take pictures of your printed out forms to send in to websites? Im just wondering if I can do this tonight or should I wait till tomorrow and go some place for a scanner.
TIA!

As long as the site can READ it, then they will accept it. If it's blurry and even a little difficult to read, they may decline the form.
yep "camscanner" works brilliant on both iphone and android :D You can only scan so many things, but then just uninstall it and install again :D
Yes! I always done this way (streamate paper stuff too). They are cleare enough to read.
I just email the pics to me and then resize them in photoshop. Never had a problem
Yep. I even send documents to my tax guy this way.
Okay, and in the headshot photo, do you have to be able to read the ID?
^^^ Yes.
How the hell is this possible?! My webcam isn't great so I tried with my iphone and even then its not totally clear.
Have you installed camscanner?
The scans are perfectly clear. Never had an issue with it.
Oh.. I didn't think of doing a scan for the headshot as well. Thanks i'll try it!
It didn't work :/ argh
Huh?
Open camscanner on your phone and go to newdoc, then press the icon that looks like a camera, take a pic of the doc you are trying to scan then follow the on screen instructions, then send it to your email/ dropbox etc x
She's having trouble with her headshot/ID photo now :) Thread took a turn
You don't have to be able to clearly read the ID, but it should be kinda easy to say "oh thats probably a D". I would test mine by saying "can I read the first letter of my ID number" and if I could kinda figure it out it would always get approved. The have to be able to tell it's the EXACT SAME document you scanned, and if it's blurry they don't like it.
Try this, put the ID next to your face, then put it a few inches to a foot closer to the camera than your face. You can still see your face and the ID but the ID is now much more clear.
I always tried to put the ID NEXT to my face, and never thought to have it a few inches closer to the cam lol
I've never had an issue with my headshot/ID photo, and you can never read the ID in my photos! You can read it in my ID shot, though, and you can see it well enough in the headshot that you can tell it's the same.
I use my Android camera. I tried using camscanner, but it didn't want to focus. I've got a phone with an 8 mpxl camera, though, so it's all good. :-P
Like everyone else said; as long as you can read it clearly, you're fine. The people who run the sites understand that not everyone owns a scanner.
Thanks for all the help ladies :) I got everything done and then forgot to attach one file so now get to wait till they respond and tell me to fix it *sigh*
