DBA
I'm finally filing a DBA, and registering a trade name for my "doing business as".
Like a few other girls, I have a "stage name" that I use for camming, which is a normal-ish first name followed by what is very clearly NOT a real last name. I use this as my username / nickname on all of my sites. For example, Ashley Angel (totally not the name I use, just giving an example). I also have a "real name", which uses the same first name and a normal last name. I use that where I'm asked for a first and last name, or in situations where professionalism is a little more important. For example, Ashley Armstrong. Or whatever.
I filed a Trade Name Declaration today for the real name, and plan on getting a business license with this name later on, for like... AA Media. Should I have used the stage name instead? Or should I just like... trademark the stage name, and operate a business with the real-ish name (ie paperwork, filing forms, etc), continuing my online business (camming, content sales) as my stage name?
Aaaand I'm pretty big on keywording / SEO; in the past I've used the stage name and the real-ish name as keywords. Should I stop doing that? Or should I throw the real-ish name around a little more?
I'm in Alberta, Canada, by the way, since I'm sure rules vary from place to place. I'm really hoping this makes sense. lol

Response was "You can't register an individual's name"

Re: DBA
In the US at least, DBA's allow an existing 'corporation' to do business under a different name in a particular area.
