Is it still possible to make money stripping in the UK?
Hi ladies,
I've been camming recently to build up my confidence before auditioning, and i feel im ready to take that step.
I've seen women on here saying they can make X amount each night, but it seems so unrealistic to make that amount here in the UK.
I live in the Northwest of England, and most clubs offer dances for £10 - is this reasonable? (these are topless) and nude for £20. . . The club in the most prestigious part of town, where all the footballers and rich men are, offers fully nude for £10! which to me seems ridiculous!
Is it possible to make a living dancing in the UK? or will this be my side gig to camming?
Thankyou in advance for your input, im just really questioning whether this will be worth my effort /:O

I think it's definitely possible. It depends what your lifestyle is, as to whether you can make a 'living' or not, depends how much you need and also, can you cope with the fact that one week no matter where you are, you are going to go home with very little. A few weeks after that you will go home feeling on top of the world because of how much money you have made. It's unpredictable and you have to look at the whole picture and not how much you make per night.
My 2cents!

Do those figures seem right for dances though? I've never really hung out in strip clubs, but £10 for fully nude, in one of the most affluent areas of town seems waaay too low!

It's normal for the Northwest for certain. Upselling works, advise the customer you can 'do a lot more' for £20 or such. £10 for a nice dance, £20 for a naughty one! Or some shit.

Well my lifestyle is that of a student, so im capable of doing as many evenings as possible; Im basically hoping for £1,000 per week, but £6-700 is my target; which im unsure of now i've contacted a few clubs :/
I notice you're in Preston so you may have some insight; I was considering commuting to Blackpool for the strip clubs (over summer) due to higher levels of tourists being there, i just assumed there'd be more customers in clubs

I'll try to answer all you q's as they came up...
It is possible to make money, but it will depend on how quickly you get your confidence and technique down, and which club you work best in. I am doing pretty decent at my current club and have had plenty of great nights, some crazy. THe other places i worked i was making sucky money, while some dancers were raking it in- all depends on the types of customers, how well you can relate to them, what they expect.
Looking at 600 a week as a minimum. In 3 nights that is 200 a night min. 4 nights 150 a night. If it's a consistent kind of club you could make that once you get your sea legs- my first club was a small neighbourhood joint, and i made almost the same amount every night (was also £10 nude dances and there were girls who, during the good time of year spring/summer, would take 300-400 a night).
If it's as up and down as my current place you might make 26 one night then 330 the next then 120, then 700, etc. so it could balance out each week or you might be up and down. Really no way of knowing until you get to work and see how you do.
1000 a week is completely doable, but you gotta have the right club for you and get your VIP on!
Re £10 nude dances... I don't really like them as it's so cheap to get naked, but in the club that had them it was easy to sell strings of dances because the drunk punters thought nothing of spending 'just another 10'. Often they would spend more than the vip room cost, which they refused to go for in the first place as it sounded so expensive lol (this club had all private lap dance booths though so no distractions like in a shared dance room).
Making a living, sure! It's pretty cheap to live up north (at least it is here i'm assuming it will be too wherever you are) so even if you have a crap week it's not a huge deal (as long as you sae as you go!)
Re blackpool... I haven't worked there but I have spoken to girls who have and it sounds terrible. Like dirty, literally and extras. No idea whether tourists would help though!
Re: Is it still possible to make money stripping in the UK?
I danced in Edinburgh and it was technically 10£ topless dance for 3 minutes and 20£ nude dance for 6 minutes. I always just charge 20£ for one nude song though, so don't be afraid to overcharge. I found a lot of customers hadn't been to the club before, and even if they have, they'd still pay my overcharged price. Just make sure to make it clear and get money upfront.
If Blackpool is anything like Edinburgh, the "real" money is over the weekends, while weekday money is very hit or miss. Lots of girls would leave owing money during the week, but everyone almost always left happy on the weekend. On average, I'd say you're looking at 3-5 shifts to make 1000£, though sometimes you can get lucky!
Basically, it's definitely possible to earn a living being a dancer in the UK, but it's certainly not as lucrative as in North America.
Re: Is it still possible to make money stripping in the UK?
What everyone else has said. I'm going to reiterate that you have to choose your clubs wisely.
In some clubs, as a newbie, you are very unlikely you will make your £1000 a week, even if you turn out to be an amazing hustler. There are some places you are unlikely to make even £600 a week. I'm not being a bitch about your abilities, I'm being frank about the clubs, the footfall, the financial climate, the unfortunate culturally engrained 'tightness' of northern men, and the number of girls working. My club can accommodate, at the maximum, ten girls. For a few weeks now there have been 20 girls working at my club. You can't even get into the dressing room, and there are two girls sitting with every man and competing for his attention. Girls have gone feral.
If you can find a regular with money, you will easily consistently make your target. I make my £600 easily over a weekend thanks to them. I don't even bother working weeknights anymore. 10 girls competing for the 2 men who come in all night? No thanks!
Find the right club, cultivate regulars (which may involve working weeknights initially) and dancing will be a good income. A lot is dependent on where you live or where you're willing to travel to. The club which does £10 dances, if in a more affluent area, may also have a lot more scope for VIP.
If you're living as a student - what are your other options? MacDonalds? I'd take unpredictable money over fast food chains, waitressing and bar work any day.
