Being demoted to dayshift is definitely the gauge that u rnt hot enough for night shift...I fear the day that happens..

^That is scary i must say..
Whenever you stop making money or you just don't want to dance anymore. There are some dancers at my club who are in the late 40s and they do better than I do.
Personally I hope I will not be dancing after the age of 30. That's just my personal goal. I love stripping but I have other career aspirations and I hope I will be advanced enough in them that a) I won't need to dance and b) I won't have time.
I think it really depends on the person. If you're in your 40s and 50s and still make money and want to continue dancing there's nothing wrong with that at all. Even if you don't look young anymore there IS a market for "milfs"
Take care of yourself and no need to be worried about being demoted. At my main club dayshift is Android central. I prefer night because my only real competition is the MILF who made a deal with Pat Robertson. (If I was a Christian and believed in Satan he'd be the earthly personification)
Geez I STARTED a week before my 29th birthday. But I don't plan to "retire from dancing". Dancing pays for my medical school.
I don't think you ever have to stop dancing if you still have clients that want to see you ! Even if that means only dancing once a month for that one high spending regular who you've had for the last 10-15 years!
Lol. This thread again. I can add 3 more clubs to the 40 plus I've worked and at 45 now.... walked in no audtion. Lol and this was the land od big boob blondes. Gorgeous girls...
LOL at the day shift comments. I work day shift by choice. My manager keeps bugging me to work the night shifts, but I don't like staying up that late any more.:geezer:
Besides, all my customers have to be back to the care home by dinner time.
I think they mean when you are FORCED to do dayshift.. ^^
I know of a dancer (or two) who is a little over 40...She can only do dayshift..It makes me sad bc i see how unhappy she is being stuck there. I worry that Im hardened from the business but I look at those girls and I see no real happiness left in them..Just cold, bitter distance and a real hate for men...I could be there if I stay in this business for a few more years and that is scary..
Most of the hottest girls I've worked with are 30's-40's. The hottest one I've ever seen is 40. Shocked me, bc I thought she was at least 25. It's all genes and how you take care of yourself. Age is just a number.
Most of the youngings are a hot mess. Coke left and right. Tequila shots. Fried foods. God knows what else... good way to ruin your looks quick.
whenever you start looking like you belong in a nursing home, when you start reminding the customers of their mom, or when you are getting such bad hot flashes from menopause you can't hack it. basically when your body/mind/spirit just can't take it anymore and you start losing out on money. this can vary SO much from woman to woman. some women start looking old when they hit 28. some stay looking young til 40.
i see some that blow me away and others where im embarassed for them.
i think if you watch your weight and diet, drink lots of water, stay out of tanning beds and the sun, stay away from alcohol and drugs, earn stress coping and have a talented plastic surgeon you can do well til, god..middle age and beyond! the problem is so many women ( and not just strippers) don't take care of themselves and start looking over the hill as soon as they hit their late 20s. i know some that look old in their early 20s
I started dancing when i was 26 and retired for the last time aged 36. I'm 38 next month. I still act, model, dance commercially and dance burlesque - my acting CV lists my age as 27 and i still get cast for 20-25 year olds. The business stopped being worthwhile to me, which is why i retired but if there was still decent money in it and decent venues to work at i'd probably still be dancing.
I love to hear of the older women who bank and still look 20 at 40..However in my area it seems once u r around 30 they consider u old...This area is all about the barely legal look..All of u who r n older dancer friendly clubs I envy u bc they arent nice to u here no matter if ur 34 and still look 27/28 for example..
I'll retire when I find someone skinnier than me, with smaller feet (size 5) and bigger tits. ::)
(Hoping Melonie never comes out of retirement!)
I don't look 20 anymore, but I manage to bank (for my region). I'm 44, but am regularly guessed at 30. I've had my boobs done, as there is just nothing that exercise and diet can do to prevent the girls from sagging. Aside from that, I've had no work done. I've been thinking about getting botox lately, but haven't made the leap yet. I used to smoke, I still tan regularly, but I think the real secret is that I've always eaten a very healthy diet and don't drink.
I also work out like a beast. I started weight training when I was 14 and have committed to fitness throughout my life. The human body is very resilient.
I maintain that a good club needs a cross section of dancers - from the girl next door to the blonde bombshell to the goth chick. Monotype clubs are just dull - if all men wanted one type of woman then the human race would've ceased to exist long ago. Men go to strip clubs for variety, where is the sense in filling a club with just one type?
If you are taking your dentures out to blow , its time to GTFO.
There really isn't a specific number that a dancer should retire at, the number and biological age of a person are not the same and just because we're biologically similar we don't all age at the same pace. I've worked at a club where the top earner was 50, though she could definitely pass off as much younger, has an amazing body, and several customers come in to see her. Another girl I worked with was in her mid 30s, early 40s, but could pass off as 23.
Not all men that go into strip clubs are looking for the closest thing to jail bait, and actually want someone that they can have a conversation with and relate to on a level many younger women cannot because they have not experienced as much in life yet
^ I do extremely well off guys from cali. The club I worked at all summer had an event that brought in a bunch of L.A. guys and sandiego. They loved me. I do well with cali guys everywhere I work. I even had weidos in Missouri at the grocery and when I'd walk to the bank ask me if I was from there. Lol.
Like a lot people said here I think it depends a lot on the person. If you have been dancing your whole life and you eat well and take care of yourself you will look fantastic. For example Maribel Guardia is 54 and she looks amazing and she's still going strong in the Mexican TV business.
Here's a picture of her and a video, so you can see how fantastic she looks. And is not because of her age, that is a fantastic body, no matter how old are you. Sure, she probable has some surgeries and whatnot, but I think an older stripper can make such investment, if she still wants to strip for a living and see it as necessary to stay in business. And by staying in business, I mean making enough money to make stripping worthwhile. And that's a personal decision.
