Quick question ladies. I know the producers are in the room during the countdown, but are they in the room for the entire duration of the actual show once it begins also?
I want to know who the country girl is? can someone PM?
You know what? With that, I am unrecognizable (I think). I'm gonna try it.
Yes I also believe they are. The payout sheet shows them being in the show the whole time. Lucky guys get to watch free shows all day ;-)
FAIL: I did not get paid by the producers because I met my goal on the site.
Ok so we have already covered the fact that I just started full time, right? So.. my goal was low, based on what I have done in the past. WAY LOW. $60 even though I have been making a goal of $150 lately with no issues. My question is, was it still broadcast on PPV TV? It seems a little unfair (I get it though) to start with such a low goal and have my show broadcast on TV but not gain any revenue for it.
I'm kinda steaming atm. :(
Am I confused or did I just find the weak spot of this TV thing?
How do you know you met the goal on the site? Were all the people who bought into your show known to you from before? (Your regs, etc?) TV viewers have screennames like everyone else, so they will not 'look' any different on your end.
If it is true that only old SM viewers bought into your show, then although your pre-show countdown MAY have been visible on TV, no one on TV got to see your actual show.
Congrats on making your show goal without requiring a 'charity top-up' from SM! This means they may set your goal higher for the next one. :-)
OK. Everyone in my chat room contributed and I got a couple after the show started. There was nothing from, "Producer" on my pay.
Thank you!! I feel better now. I do hope they raise my goal. That was silly! But as stated, I do understand the low start point. I have only been back full time 4 weeks and last week I did some very low gold shows to break my weekly income record without a thought to what it was doing to my average.
P.S. Whoever was in my chatroom at the time, thank you. A smoke break was a good reminder :)
Yeah, just keep on truckin', and it will build.
I think the fact that you didn't get a 'producer' tip is a POSITIVE thing. "Producer" tips are SM's contributions to your show when you don't meet your goal with the organic traffic. The whole point of the TV experiment is to give you exposure to a new audience of viewers in the hopes that they will buy into your show.... if streamate sees that you're unable to entice these viewers to buy in, and that you are constantly needing boosts from SM in the form of Producer tips, they will figure you can't sell a show to save your life, and will give up even sending you TV requests.
So I can understand your disappointment at the low starting goal, but it's kinda understandable. Just keep selling those shows and you're golden. :-)
I would feel the same way about the music thing!!! I totally take my rhythm from the grooves I play... unless it's a one-on-one session where I'm just chatting. But yeah, I am sure you'd be able to listen to your ipod with headphones or something, as long as the room can't hear. (It might look a little weird, but oh well!) :-)
I listen to my ipod on cam from time to time. I have been doing it since I started. No guys ever call me weird or anything they just ask me what I am listening to. lol
I honestly don't understand the garanty goal.
Let's say I opt in for tv and my goal is $400 but guys are only throwing in a total of 200 then how am I going to make a garanty goal of 400?
The producers pay the difference. So if your $200 away from your goal then they give you that $200. That is how your goal is guaranteed.
I just want to know if opting in one day and out the other is going to affect our placement? Seems that sometimes classic chat is much less glitchy than party chat also. I think just seeing what SM thinks we are "worth" would be interesting enough. I just worry about placement and traffic. I want guys to see me regardless of if I can or can't be on TV
First off I want to *Wave at Dayzie*!!!
Ok, so I read through this entire post and didn't see my answer so here is the question: I've never done a gold show. EVER. So where does that put me? I thought about starting them before I got this email. But since I don't have a gold show history, then what happens? Nothing? Just curious. Also, we have a couples account that we use way more than my solo account. But we haven't gotten an email for that account. I wonder will they offer it to couples..? And if so, we have only done a few gold shows with about $150 goal being met.
I just did my first one. The request came towards the end of my goldshow countdown, so it started a new 14 min countdown and guys had to re-pledge. None of them seemed to mind though. The goal was set ok - $204 for a 10 min show. I made the goal without any need for top ups so can't comment on that. Was a bit more nervous but decided to do it based on SM saying that it won't be rebroadcast.
They did say they were only offering this to female models at the moment so I would assume it would be solo accounts only...? Maybe someone else can confirm.
Also I would think if you don't have a gold show history they probably won't choose you to do a show until you do have a history to base the offer off of. That's my guess...?
A unique twist. I was in a gold show countdown and just as I received a $150 tip towards my $150 gold show which sent me over my goal, TV sent me a request for a $70 gold show.
I did not accept lol.
I keep saying... I am back full time but no one is listening yet *sigh*
I guess it will be next week when I hit #1 spot before they get it.
I have seen one couple do the tv shows, but they are wildly popular on sm as it is, so it may have been "by special exception only".

I support any girls that are on the Streamate Tv boat.... progress marches forward and I am not about to try to get in its way.
That being said, I am going to wait in the wings for the whole thing to be beta tested by other people. If there is anything I've learned from working with technology companies is that early adopters generally get screwed when major new projects are introduced as random problems crop up that the original programmers never considered.
