Re: Regulars and camming?
I have a few good regulars, its cheaper and takes less time to maintain an existing client base than to attract a new one, that goes for pretty much any business. HOWEVER i always have the fear that if all my regulars vanished at the same time Id be a nobody again, so its important to also be working on promoting to new people, creating new regulars, not getting comfy thinking oh well Bob will be on soon so ill probably get my target then, only to find that Bobs wife learned how to check internet history and Bob has been chopped into tiny pieces and had a patio built over him. rip bob

Re: Regulars and camming?
I think it's best to have regulars and converting new guys into sales.
-
Re: Regulars and camming?
All regulars have a life span. I cycle through them constantly. Some only last a couple of weeks of returning, while others might last years...but they always leave, even if they come back years later you can't rely on anyone to keep coming back regularly. It's best to always be doing your best to convert new guys...you'll always need them to fall back on.

Re: Regulars and camming?
Regulars are good... Very good ..but regulars come and go so you always need to convert new guys and keep converting...because eventually your regs will find a new girl...start getting needy...and start asking for bargains cuz there "regulars" even if you already give them the cheapest prices possible...and I can always tell when that times coming ...so always be just as nice to new guys as you would your regs
-
Re: Regulars and camming?
I don't necessarily think so. I think the emphasis will always be on new sales/customers. New members become regulars every single day so if you just depended on regulars (knowing that each customer has a shelf life) you'd be disappointed after a while as eventually the well will dry up. New guys replace those old regs so I think they're more important in sustaining your career as a cammodel.
Let it be known that regs equally desired and needed especially if you are independent. There are times things slow down, when not so many new guys are coming in so it's nice to depend on regulars to save the day. But having zero regulars can very well cause you to be successful As long as you have new customers coming in it will be a revolving door which camming pretty much is anyway.

Re: Regulars and camming?
Regulars are good, but you have to keep them on a tight leash. Some, thankfully, know the score, and will just send you a donation without you having to hustle them, turn them down for real life meetings, or ask for payment/a show. Somewhat ironically, I think these are the ones you should put the most effort into keeping happy- a little stress-free GFE on your terms goes a long ways. I send snapchats and a nice 'thinking of you' messages every week to my really good regs, and it helps a little in keeping my paycheck a nice number.
The guys that push you for a real life experience or are consistently needy are the ones you want to act blasé about. Keep emphasising the paid nature of the relationship, and don't give them a moment of your time where they aren't paying you or preparing to pay. These are the guys who are going to move on the second you tell them that there is no way you're going to meet them, and are very temporary, typically. Some just like the fantasy of meeting you in person, but they're rare.

Re: Regulars and camming?
So far my regulars are more like occasional repeat customers. I know they spend on other girls too so I try not to get too attached to the money and keep new guys coming in. Sometimes when old regulars see that you are still doing well without them, they will return to "reclaim" you and get your best attention.

Re: Regulars and camming?
Anybody who wants to meet in real life can go fuck themselves.
I have a couple of regs I like because I like their fetishes and they spend a lot of money and time in private with me. They leave nice comments and ratings and generally boost my moral, give me someone to laugh with when free chat is boring.
Considering booting one reg. He just wants me to stand still with butt at camera and saying 'no not like that' 'arch ur back more' ''can u do it like this photo plz' 'omg bb i luv ur ass' 'sorry cant go private now wifes awake too risky'
Fuck that shit I literally sigh so hard when he pops up. But yeah like 90% of my privates are with new customers :)

Re: Regulars and camming?
In my experience most of my regulars became a pain in the ass later down the road. One guy bought several shows with me then comes into free chat and starts tipping small amounts to have me verbally humiliate him as opposed to going private. Then things escalated quickly and he started asking me to verbally humiliate him in front of other cam custies for FREE. That's right, no tip, no private he thought he was gonna game me for my time just because he spent money on me in the past. I've found my regulars to be too needy and intrusive for me so I'd rather just get new guys every time I log on. These guys don't want to talk my ear off or try to get with me IRL, they just wanna jerk off and leave. Makes things easier for me.

Re: Regulars and camming?
Loll I love wen regs come and ask how much they should pay for there show...when they've had the same show for the longest.. It like I get ur hint,..ur trying to hint to give u deal since we have shows a lot ...this is mostly Indy guys and there already the cheapest of all...convienant and high payout....but cheap! The same as always buddy unless you wanna send me more as a nice gesture ;)

Re: Regulars and camming?
I think regulars are extremely important, I'd say 90% of my shows are regs with 10% new conversion. As long as the reason I'm doing this split is because I'm busy, not because I can't attract new clients, I am a-okay with that. I look at camming like fundraising, you make 90% of your funds from 10% of your customer base, as long as you catch and convert those clients to regulars (even if it's only for a period of a few months) and continue to convert and keep those clients to fill in free spots then you'll do just fine.
Regulars can be a pain but they generally where you're going to make the most of your sales if they are "invested in your organization" aka, you. If they feel a genuine connection to you they are likely to spend more to support you. And I don't mean the guys who fall in love, those are the first to go. The guys who appreciate you as a person along with your specific skills, that's the guys I want to keep.

Re: Regulars and camming?
I've got a few regulars who come into my room and the moment I see them I know exactly what will happen and how much I'll make. They are in a routine that doesn't change. They are dependable, don't waste time in guest chat, there to get off and like what I do in exclusive. They are strictly exclusive guys too who like what I do (anal/dp/atm/role/raceplay) They are a certain type of regular. My regulars mean a lot to me. Men like to feel special and comfortable, and welcomed. Yeah, some don't care...you know THAT guy right away. But a good generous man WANTS to feel like he is in some way part of your life. You know those guys too. We just have to weed thru the yard full of flowers and weeds. I have however banned a few who turned into peepers. Shame. More important than regulars is you being on point. If you know what I mean. Some girls worry about placement, I understand that. But if you've got your game on and are "on point" you shouldn't worry about that. I have geoblock and forgot about worrying about placement a long time ago. I worry about my attitude and my regulars.
-
Re: Regulars and camming?
Agreed Jess, I don't care about my placement, I care about having good, quality customers who spend entirely too much time with me every week ;)
-
Re: Regulars and camming?
I'm excited you're back! You're one sexy girl and don't fret, your guys have been chomping at the bit for your return.
-
Re: Regulars and camming?
I have a hang out hustle style so regulars are nice to have in the room because the conversation and the flow with them helps sell me and convert new clients. That being said- regulars come and go. You can DEFINITELY be successful with or without them. Point blank- there isn't a single second in a day where there isn't someone jerking it. There is always money to be made. I feel like any model who is working consistently is going to end up with some regulars at some point, but if your hustle with converting new clients is strong then once you do start to get regulars- it will just make your money grow even faster :)

Re: Regulars and camming?
I've been doing this since 2008, off and on. I believe camming regulars are like regulars in any sub-niche of the adult biz. They start off great. You're flattered they like you enough to come back, they have money and pay expected rates, and they have healthy boundaries. Be careful not to give them too much attention, they all have a life span. If they don't run low on funds, it's on respect, sanity, or respect for you as a person. They start wanting to meet up, personal info, lower rates, freebies. They may even start blaming their problems on you. Cuz if they weren't spending so much time focusing on you, they would have been promoted, had better luck with women, etc.. You have to decide when their money is no longer worth it. My rule of thumb is:if you find yourself annoyed by them and thinking about them when you're not payed to be, let them go. They're beyond replaceable and it's so freeing getting rid of one. There's plenty of them and when you get rid of a few, you're just freeing up space for more.

Re: Regulars and camming?
Personally I've been pretty sporadic since I started in December, but the few regulars I have are mostly amazing. They didn't complain when I raised my rates (thank you ladies!!!) and as much as they love the occasional freebie, they don't expect them. Some even tip when I greet them with tit flashes. My regs are also super understanding when I get 'stolen' to exc.
I do have one problem reg, but he's not rude, just kinda annoying when he begs for couples shows >_<
-
Re: Regulars and camming?
So dislike sustained contact with any guy on cam. Luckily I get new guys all the time! I love new guys. Actually I think I hate when anyone returns, ever.
-
Re: Regulars and camming?
I got my first ever regular on my first day. He asked me for a really odd request which I did because hey, my first day. I made some decent money off of him. And for the next six weeks or so he consistently came back and spent money because I would do the weird things he wanted. But eventually it got to the point where he needed more and more extreme things every session to the point where I was uncomfortable. So my first regular became my first blocked regular. I have a few other guys that have come back and they're cool but I find that my regulars aren't the ones who buy long shows, that's my new guys. It's nice to have them around to boost your income a little but I'll take new guys any day.
-
Re: Regulars and camming?
I had a reg that used to do long shows with the confidential phone service and he'd do them with me about once a month, then in March he stopped getting shows because that's when I raised my exclusive price. Said I was too expensive now he pops in once every few months asks how I am and what I'm wearing and leaves....Its annoying and I just blocked his ass for doing so.

Re: Regulars and camming?
I love regulars. Think it might have to do with my stripping, and corporate sales background.
I like That if I've closed the deal before, it gives me the confidence to do it again.
I can really get into their head, relate, and just relax and have a good time.
-
Re: Regulars and camming?
I must be so weird. I can only relax with new guys.

Re: Regulars; are they necessary for camming survival?
I've been talking about regulars and real time meetups a lot lately it seems since that latest sexworker cough documentary was released. Also this thread is filled with great insight. I thought it might be useful to some of you.
