White dancers dancing like black dancers (an honest question, please do not flame).
Ok. As a black man I prefer white girls as dancers. This has gotten me in trouble on stripper web before. But I really do perfer white girls.
So I have to ask white dancers a question. What is going through your mind when you decide to dance differently for black customers than white or asian customers?
Perhaps the reason a black man approaches you is because you give a different experience- and that experience is valued.
If I approach you, maybe it is because I have seen how you dance and found it desirable. Perhaps, it is because there is some intrinsic behavior I find appealing along with your beauty.
To suddenly change because you think you are satisfying an intrinsic desire undermines both my enjoyment and your money making potential.

That's cool. I don't think you're giving the dancers on SW enough credit though, as most of the ladies here are more seasoned hustlers than the average dancer you'll encounter in the club.

You're probably correct. Because it's usually the younger ones who do this.

Is this a question or an accusatory rant? If you want to ask a question do it without leading the answers or accusing the dancers on this site of any sort of pattern of behavior. I'm leaving this thread up for now but I'm keeping a close eye on it.
Re: White dancers dancing like black dancers (an honest question, please do not flame
I've change the way I dance before. But not just for black guys.
I'd ask "oh do what attracted you to me? Was it x, y, z?"
Then dance based on the answer. :) if they liked my ass, I'd shake and wiggle it. If it was my legs, I'd draw attention there. If it was my hair, I'd make sure to shake it and arch my back and let it flow down.
Maybe your leading the dancers to dance the way they are?
Re: White dancers dancing like black dancers (an honest question, please do not flame
Depending on your location, you are likely the exception in this category. I never made any money off black men because I don't do booty shaking. In my experience, 99% of the black men who wanted me to dance for them wanted this type of dancing. I eventually stopped approaching them. This is a situation where, because of prevalent stereotypes, you're going to have to be a little more communicative about the style of dancing you want.
Re: White dancers dancing like black dancers (an honest question, please do not flame
^^^^Exactly, I bet the girls are merely presenting what they think a black man will find appealing. I would expect they size up a potential customer by race, ethnicity, age, size, fitness, appearance, and maybe even choice of drink or the customer's track record (if he's a known patron) and tailor their approach using the method (thought) most likely to result in money being spent. Obviously, they have concluded that "acting or dancing black" is the approach most likely to sell dances to black customers.

Location has alot to do with it. But it shouldnt matter if you have a prefer a certain type of girl that is fine. Your the paying customer. The ones that usually get bothered by this is usually girls who are not making money and have nothing to do but to notice petty crap.
For example, my ex was black and I am Asian. When I work, I dance for anyone that asks me or talks to me. It doesn't matter if the guy is black, blue, purple, pink, yellow or red. The only color I see us green, I know isound like a greedy dancer but hey im at work, what does one except. Its different if I have known them for a while. The last club I ventured onto had a high black customer base, mostly wannabe thugs. There was alot customers calling me racist for not giving them a chance to hear them out. Many customers used to stick around way pass closing. It shocks majority of the girls and customers who me racist when I walk out that door into my very dark handsome black boyfriend.
He always laugh when he hears people calling me a racist. Dont care what others believe, they see you maybe a handful of times but you face who you truly are everyday.

I've seen this happen with a few of my faves as well-all of whom are either Asian or Brazilian. I club a lot in Providence and the wannabe thug factor is pretty high especially later at night. These guys don't spend money on dances and my faves don't consider them worth the time investment when the club is busy. As far as I'm concerned ignoring them is just good business. Any good dancer will target the guys that she thinks are going to spend and, as you said, if you are willing to dance for anyone who actually asks you that hardly seems racist to me. Just smart. It's always amusing to me when other customers try to tell a dancer who she should be approaching to try and sell dances...
Re: White dancers dancing like black dancers (an honest question, please do not flame
.... If you like White dancers does it really matter how she dances? Maybe this is just a NYC thing...but I don't really see a difference in the way girls dance depending on race. Maybe what music the DJ is playing...but everyone shakes their booty.:confused:

I agree with Med on being more communicative. Maybe when you approach a girl say something like "I really enjoyed you stage show and the way you move your body" or "I prefer more sensual/slow dances, is that ok?" you're giving them tips on how to potentially make more money from you and as long as you're being polite and not asking them to do anything out of their comfort zone they should be fine with that.
