CamFlare- Any traffic yet
I was on Xpeeps and did well for a while then the place was a graveyard. Im sure this is the same scenario for anyone who was on Xpeeps. I did like the site at one point of time though. Waah :(
I know a lot of Xpeeps girls went over to CamFlare or at least it had been discussed. I did a search on the site and all I found was the job posting by Rose.
MFC isn't for me. Mostly because I didnt know shit about maintaining my cam score. When I started out I was just a MGF girl and nobody told me. So, it's at 530 now which is just sad. Sometimes I log in and do ok, other times I literally go 3 hours and get no tips.
I have been approved for CamFlare and SM and want to really focus all my efforts into one site during new girl period to become established and get some regulars. Of course still focusing on my other projects.
Anyways, my question is....as of Jan there was no traffic on CamFlare and I was wondering if you ladies are seeing any now.
Would I be better to focus more on StreamMates or give CamFlare a shot? Of course I am not looking for facts, just personal opinions and experiences.
Thanks in advance ;D
Re: CamFlare- Any traffic yet
SM and Camflare are two totally different sites that require two totally different styles of working. If youre skilled at both- great.
Personally I would go with SM. Theyre established. They have proven traffic. If you invest the time, you will be able to build a fan base and will bank there.
While I wish camflare luck- I dont see them lasting. Many sites have tried to mimic MFCs model and none have succeeded. First off you have to understand the costs of running a cam site. A big box site like SM spends 35-models 35-traffic 25-operating 5-profit. MFC is 50-60 models (depending on the token packages) 25 -operating costs 10- promotion 5-profits
MFC does not have a traffic 'budget'. And what it does spend on promotion is selective (like that banner at the bottom of SW). It generates its traffic through the free shows. The site was designed that way- to have models compete with each other for the top spot, for better placement, prizes etc..
Camflare is paying 60%, you can expect them to have the same operating costs -25 and the same profit expectation- 5. That leaves them a traffic/promo budget of 10. Plus whatever traffic they can generate through 'free shows'- but from what I gather they are implementing (or already have) a black out feature similar to what Xpeeps had- allowing models to blackout non tippers from the 'action'. That feature essentially kills off any traffic the free shows would have generated. IMO the site just doesnt have a budget big enough to pay for traffic to make it worthwhile, nor with the features they have implemented currently does it seem possible that they would be able to generate enough traffic on their own.
(Perhaps the site acquired a loan or an short term investor hence the new thread and the promise of a new push of coming traffic; but it would be short lived once the funds run dry. So it may be an opportunity to bank while you can, but not a place to build regulars.)
Re: CamFlare- Any traffic yet
Thanks so much, this is exactly the info I was seeking. I really don't want to put all my eggs in one basket (again) and have the bottom fall out (again)
