Wow these are great! Keep them coming...
I saw this today & just thought beautiful.. Attachment 31942
That's a real 'Candlestick'. You don't see many people who can really do it. I didn't have my pole up for a while and got out of practice and can barely do it now, and I also have a little trouble getting into position. The trick in my avatar is easier and is one way to get into position. But the Candlestick properly done is harder.
Her arms are also spread further doing this than I have seen before, which might make it harder, I don't know. She is closer to the pole that way and it looks even better--I've never seen anyone do it quite like this and it is very impressive.
Arms far apart definitely makes it more difficult. I usually use elbow grip and can camp out all day, but really struggle holding it in a split grip position. I usually do Basic Invert--->Butterfly-->Aysha--->Straight Edge--->Flag. We used to have a girl who could just jump up into Straight Edge/Candlestick, and it was the sickest thing.

@smeca the girl in the green pants is Marlo Fisken if you wanted to look up a video of her dancing, she's an amazing dancer and pretty famous in the pole community. Super strong and super bendy!
If you're trying to learn it and want some tips message me. There's 3 different grips you can use to get into it (she's using twisted) that all have different pros/cons so you might find one way easier than another.Quote:

Also if someone could tell me how to insert pictures properly I'd greatly appreciate it! :)
Whoa, there are some great pictures and videos here!
Thanks Amareth, I think in my case it's mostly just the wrong attitude. With the really difficult tricks it's as much mental power as physical strength/leverage I think. I'm rusty so in my mind I think it'll be harder--so it is lol! I do think it might be one of the harder ways though. If I continue to have trouble getting back into good form with it I will PM you for sure.
Oh for adding pictures the best way is to go to imgur.com and sign up. It's incredibly easy to load pictures, and then just paste the 'BBcode' link they give you here.
