Question about Adobe Encoder
When I run the encoder in the side area it says its running anywhere between 640-690kbs, no dropped frames adn 25 fps. Is something wrong? Should it be running at the full 800kbs and 29fps?
Sorry is this is a repetitive question found tons of threads about the encoder but nothing answering this specifically.
Re: Question about Adobe Encoder
i think that's pretty normal.
Re: Question about Adobe Encoder
25fps is a little bit low if that's your average, but it's right on the cusp of dropping you from HD so you should be fine. if you're not getting any dropped frames, it should be ok. if you start dropping left and right, adjust settings.

I am at 25 fps and I never ever drop from HD.
What does yours run?
Re: Question about Adobe Encoder
well today I was jumping between 800-1000kbs and stayed at 30 fps. I guess my question is more along the lines of is it suppose to jump around or sit still AND what actually is this dependent on internet speeds or your pc and its processing speeds?
Re: Question about Adobe Encoder
Your fps will change constantly. That's why there's an "average" and a "current" number. I'm sorry that I can't give you input on the kbs and be 100% sure that it's the correct info, but if I understand the way the site works, it would be absolutely normal for that number to be variable. Basically this is a live data stream from your computer to their server. Think about when you download something and it shows you the progress. It never downloads at a constant speed, it's always variable. This is what I think of when I think of kbps... not sure if that makes sense.
