need encouragement...massive rejection
Ok I finally got the guts to actually audition at some clubs...I was rejected three times today
1. Crazy horse
2. Mens Club
3. Gold Club
I am a very attractive, petite black girl, well spoken, slender, lovely shape, I am confused why they rejected me. Mens club, of course insisted I go to ONYX!....I think its because I am black.
I was well dressed, I looked very sexy. I met a stripper at Crazy Horse that basically begged me to go to Mens Club because she was so sure I would get in. She even said she would try to help me get into her club.
I forgoto add a couple weeks ago I visited Twin Peeks, a dive! and was rejected there also. Everyone claims they are packed and have enough girls. Daisy Dooks told me to come into Amateur night, not a big fan of amateur night. I am really thinking about going to ONYX. I do really like the club...the girls are always friendly and it has a lot of money making potential. I am scared though because I am not a big booty shaker and the urban scene intimidates me. I am also thinking about trying 124, silver fox, and Nikki's....all urban clubs.
I need some advice, encouragement. Is this normal? Any dancers in the charlotte area experience this?
Re: need encouragement...massive rejection
Also anyone in the charlotte area know anything about escorting. I am VERY interested about the business ...you can PM if needed...thanx ladies
Re: need encouragement...massive rejection
If you absolutely don't want to work at an urban club then maybe try Uptown Cabaret. They pretty much are like Men's Club and I think their hiring practices are similar but it's worth a shot. Other than that, the clubs you listed don't really hire many black girls so don't take it personally. I doubt there's anything wrong with you. Those just aren't really black clubs. I know several "hot" black girls who went there and didn't get hired and then went to Onyx and got hired on the spot. But the same can be said vice-versa. A really hot white girl could walk into Onyx and she may not get hired because she doesn't fit the image they are trying to project.
I do not recommend 124 very highly and I don't recommend Silver fox at all!! Club Nikki's is cool but it can be hit or miss. And you should do well at Onyx. I know a few top earners there who can't ass-clap or booty pop. But if you can't do any of that, you'd better have another skill set because ass makes money there. However if you're a hustler or have some decent pole skills you should be fine. But yeah if I were you, I'd try Onyx, then Nikki's, 124, then Silver Fox in that order. But I really really really don't recommend Silver Fox at all.
As far as escorting, check out the other work section and you can get some info there.
Re: need encouragement...massive rejection
Yea i can make my ass clap but I always feel weird doing it lol Im very slim, but unfort I am jus starting out and I dont know any pole tricks, I can dance some. The times I went to the club(Onyx) i seen gurls on the stage that werent great ass clappers or great dancers. Onxy has a good variety I am jus overly intimidated by the club because there are women there who cant dance and all they have to do is booty clap.......and they make money. One of the dancers at Onyx said its not a big deal
But thanx, I feel somewhat better, jus gotta keep trying
Re: need encouragement...massive rejection
are there any specific reasons why u think silver fox and 124 are bad???...i kno they r urban clubs...and I read reviews about them...maybe I will have to visit for myself
Re: need encouragement...massive rejection
Girl if you can booty clap then take your ass to Onyx, you'll be fine. I like Nikki's better but I think there's more money at Onyx. But I'm fat at the moment so nothing's an option for me right now. lol
Silver Fox is really hood. The second you pull in the parking lot, you'll see it. And there's not a lot of money there. One of my friends danced there one night and made like $30 and tip-out was $10. $20 all night. Not worth it to me. A dancer got killed there in 2010 as well but I think that happened in the parking lot not in the club itself. But still that wouldn't really happen at Onyx because there security is pretty tight. But you will NOT get rejected there. They are happy to get decent dancers.
124 is better but it can suck. I'm talking $60 on a Saturday night suck. Dancing is not my main source of income. I'm a cam-girl but in the event that I want to make some quick money, I like to think that I can go into a club on the weekend and make a quick $200-$300. Nope not there. And I wouldn't knock the club if it were just me but when nobody is making money, it's a problem. But there are certain nights that are better than others. Wednesdays are usually decent there. But I just can't dance at a club where there is a possibility of making decent money once a week.

Sadly, yes. I would say the majority of strip clubs place quotas on how many black girls they have on their roster or how many are allowed to work on each shift. It could be worth going back to clubs at a different time in a few weeks when some black girls may have left or there's a different manager on duty, but it's not necessarily going to be smooth sailing once you get hired.
Re: need encouragement...massive rejection
Racism is alive and well, and I agree that it sucks. I have seen lots of pretty black girls working at shit clubs because they can't get hired. It's also frustrating for ladies who would like to travel. :(
Re: need encouragement...massive rejection
I see what your saying about 124...I went in there...very DRY...some of the people seemed very nice...cute lil layout...but the dancers seemed depressed....I asked one girl why do u come here...it was to mind blowing for me...that depressing attitude is annoying in a strip club, so I didnt even bother to go to silver fox because I really dont think i could handle that type of atmoshpere for my first experience.
I am seeing first hand just how racist the sex industry can be, I didnt think it would be this hard for me especially becuz I dont act hood and Im not built like a black girl. But I will keep trying, got a few more clubs and I am sure one will hire me. Thanks ladies for the support.

Re: need encouragement...massive rejection
Get a white girl partner. It'll make it easier.
Re: need encouragement...massive rejection
The quota system is alive and well in the South. I would go to the urban club in the meantime to make some kind of money while you figure out your next move.
Re: need encouragement...massive rejection
Don't let your impressions of these first few clubs ruin your view on all of stripping. When it comes to dancing, guys like a variety of women and clubs like to hire a variety of women for a variety of reasons. So keep trying until you find the place where you can fit in, feel comfortable, and make money. And keep reading the threads here at stripperweb - there's a goldmine of information here for those who are just starting out in the biz.
