Phishing Alert! "Dan Boots" aka "Roman Livovsky"
A few of our account holders alerted us to a phishing attempt, in which an individual going by the name of Dan Boots (or Roman Livovsky) attempted to get them to sign up for a new studio.
He offers a very attractive payment rate, and even claims to provide confirmation of affiliation with Payoneer.
It's important for us to point out that this individual has no affiliation with Payoneer, and the e-mail examples he is sending are fake. He is using actual templates of payment confirmations that Payoneer sends its members, and altering them to attempt to show that his program is valid. Indeed, all he is trying to do is access your personal details.
We take security very seriously at Payoneer, and I just wanted to update you all so that you are aware of not only this specific attempt, but other attempts that may be like it.
As a friendly reminder, please note that a Payoneer representative will never ask you for your full card number, or your account password. Also, application through any of our official partners will direct you to a Payoneer sign up page, where you can either apply for a new card or link the account to your existing card. An example can be seen at http://blog.payoneer.com/?p=41 and http://blog.payoneer.com/?p=1807. If you are ever unsure about a specific promotion or partner that claims to be working with Payoneer, please don't hesitate to contact us and we will be more than happy to confirm if it is valid.
Thanks again!
