Experienced, Successful Host Starting Out on MFC?
I worked on iFriends for years, still do though it is slow the members are great quality when they show up and loyal. I've been working on Streamate and have made a lot more in less time since being there. I'm curious about trying MFC- I hear such mixed reviews about it, seemingly top girls there complain about deadness but others say it is the best site. I like the idea of being able to promote my member site/ twitter/c4s there as I work those a lot too. What do you think, is it worth a try or hard to do unless you have several days a week to be on? Unless it really pays off right away I can't afford to drop the other sites very often.

There are lots of threads regarding that can definitely answer your question including the MFC thread =) This is an ongoing topic so the posts are usually fresh. Try searching MFC in the search box. You'll find a wealth of knowledge and great advice on whether this site would be worth your time or not depending on your situation. Happy camming!

Hi Sophia,
I'm familiar with you and your work (and we have friends in common). :-) Based on what I know of your style of shows, and the nature of MFC, as well as your concerns about taking a pay cut, I would NOT recommend you bother with MFC. Honestly. :-(
I have followed a similar career trajectory to you, in terms of what sites we've "been raised on", all the way down to the late-in-life name change. I do very well on sm, and mfc is crickets for me. I can't earn money there to save my life, because the time committment to even be MEDIOCRE on mfc is just too great of an opportunity cost.
By all means sign up and give it a shot, but I don't think it'll be up your alley. (I hope I'm wrong, I really do... But I don't think I am.)
Good luck with whatever you decide... And kudos for rocking your "style" the way you do. :-)
Re: Experienced, Successful Host Starting Out on MFC?
I agree with Jessica... I had a pretty big following when I started camming full time and MFC was one of the first sites I tried to go full time on.... and it was AWFUL. I moved to SM and I will never work anywhere else! It's just not worth the effort for me on other sites, especially MFC. I highly doubt MFC would be worth the effort for you either... but you never know until you try. That's the part that sucks! You have to put in a lot of time to see if it's going to work out, but it's so hard to sacrifice that time from SM in order to try out MFC.
You could always take 2-3 days off in a row from SM and try MFC for those 2-3 days straight and see how it goes. You should get a pretty good idea within the first few days if you are going to like being there or not. It's definitely WAY different than SM.
Good luck!
Re: Experienced, Successful Host Starting Out on MFC?
thanks for the reply- I only cam 3 days a week now since I devote half of my other energy to custom videos, clips4sale and my membership site. I was about to try Livejasmin since I saw their ranking on alexa.com is so amazing, but I'm put off now after reading these forums. It seems like you have to really work the games and put a lot of hours into MFC. I love SM but sometimes the 35% gets to me after getting 50-55% at iFriends, even though SM is busier. I might try it one night a week sometime adding camming 4 days a week rather than 3 just to try it for a few weeks. Do you think that would be enough?
Re: Experienced, Successful Host Starting Out on MFC?
There are lots of girls who have left Streamate for MFC (a lot who even post on this board) and are more than happy because its wayyyyyy less work. On MFC you do one big show vs lots of small shows on others sites, so you don't burn out on MFC nearly as fast. Also, you can make more on MFC than any other site if you make it to the top. But only do MFC if you can follow a schedule and want to build a brand (which you already have). Try it and find out how it works for you.
Actually, I just looked you up and I don't know. All guys on MFC are repulsed by fetish. I know that because I had a vanilla account I was doing well on, and then I deleted it and made a fetish account and my cam score was like 800 and kept getting guys telling me "this is the wrong site for that" so I'm not sure. Unless you umm... become like a lolita fetish girl like a certain top MFC girl who is into latex and balloons but is super girly. Just try it, but don't be surprised if you get the same reaction/comments, because alllllll their traffic is hardcore vanilla.
