Save Our Strippers (S.O.S.) Donations for Entertainers effected by Hurricane Sandy
I have a thought! I am seriously thinking about building a page for S.O.S.
I already have a site with donation capabilities, and since I am linked to the entertainment world, this might be a decent thing to do. It's bad enough that the storm devastated the Northeast, but what about the Entertainers? If a club was damaged they will receive a check from their insurance company. Yeah the club has to close for construction, but how is a dancer suppose to pay her bills if her club is closed? Or worse, feed herself and her family?
Please give me feedback on this one because I feel time is of the essence. If a majority of the responses are positive I will immediately find out who I need to contact . Anyone who works or knows an entertainer in the Northwest, I especially need your imput.
Either way, I wish you health, and strength.

In response to the S.O.S. event, Aspen's Escape located in Columbus, Ohio, is offering displaced entertainers willing to travel a place to work due to the recent events following Hurricane Sandy.
Aspen's Escape is a beautiful club with two primary and two satellite stages, and is more than willing to help provide work and rooms for entertainers and their families. They are capable of supporting approx 20 to 30 girls, and will do their best to provide a comfortable accommodations.
Any one interested should contact the club at (614) 899-3077 or general manager Steve Hayes at (270) 519-5416 to be sure of space before finalizing plans.

Re: Save Our Strippers (S.O.S.) Donations for Entertainers effected by Hurricane Sand
Thank you for the karma! I lived/danced in FL for a few years... I started dancing in 2005 (circa Hurricane Katrina). One of my custies was a FEMA worker, and one was a New Orlean's jazz player staying with family in FL due to his home being destroyed. Personally I have only dealt with the outskirts of storms and thankfully nothing too major. There are families that need help not only right now, but also for the up coming holiday season. I added the link for donations on my 'Sandy" page, and have reached out to my FB friends and contacts from clubs I've worked at for support. I too will be donating this week. I'm hoping one way or another a little help can be distributed and a little hope can be restored.
Much love and support...
