Canadian looking to work in the US as stripper/exotic dancer
Hi,
Looking to work in Arizona, Vegas or Portland as a stripper/exotic dancer.. Anyone know if licenses are needed?? I did some research and it looks like Portland is the only one that doesn't need a license, however I couldn't find any information about visas??
Thanks

licenses are needed in vegas and to get one you need to be legally allowed to work there. I Don't know all the details and I don't know about the other places?
Where in Canada do you live BTW?
I would personally not consider working in the US because I make lots of $$ here and it just seems like too much of a hassle.

You won't be able to get a visa to work in the USA without having a company sponsor you or becoming a student at an American university. Unless you're a feature dancer, no club will sponsor you for a visa, and the student visa not only comes at a high price (tuition for international students is insane), but I do believe there are quite a few restrictions placed on it in terms of where and how often you can work.
However, it is generally always possible to find a club that will look the other way and hire you illegally - more so in cities that don't require licenses than those that do. The problem with these clubs is that they're often willing to look the other way with other aspects of their business, so they may not be the most favourable places to work.

Try to sign up with some Stripper Agencies in your area and do private party dancing.
