Re: The Totally Random Thread...
I was so tired last night that I swore I was missing $150 and convinced my last customer must have somehow taken it out of my purse ( and I'm ultra careful ) .
I had to calm down and write down detailed notes of exactly how I remembered making two days of money and promise myself a re-count in the morning.
Exhaustion, I tell ya. I could have sworn with 100% certainly that it was missing at 2:30 a.m. yesterday but after I slept and looked at the note ..... seems to be there. I think I need to start making daily cash envelopes for these trips. I have been paranoid like this before.

Yeah, I think my disposition’s going to be the same. What kind of kinky shit are you into?

Dream, and other things.

Re: The Totally Random Thread...
A new tech managed to blow up a front end loader tire today. Fortunately, they were okay… they had stepped away from the cage and didn’t think to cut off the air when it did, plus they didn’t use the regulated air supply to inflate it.
It was a very surreal experience. It blew up, we all felt the percussion, then we were all just sort of dazed and looking at each other as if we’d just learned that the world was ending. I felt light headed, like I was going to pass out, and my ears are still ringing slightly from it.

Re: The Totally Random Thread...
How does one of those tires cost? Was this one person or several?
-
Re: The Totally Random Thread...
They're not cheap. Fortunately (somewhat), this was a used tire which had been dismounted and was being remounted, so not as big of a loss as a brand new tire would've been. This one came off of a Cat 972G, and this one was a radial tire, so we're talking a 26.5R25 Michelin XHA2 tire... looks like about $4600 new.
Someone's ass is in a sling, there's no doubt about that. How many asses, I'm not sure.

Was that wheel bolted to ANYTHING? It is really dangerous if they are loose.

Re: The Totally Random Thread...
^it was on the loader itself

That is better than having it loose, they can become projectiles if not fastened down.

Is today National Freeloader day? If I get one more request for lingerie or nude pictures without a cash tribute or guys asking to hook up because they're "so good in bed that I will want to pay them" I'm going to scream.

Re: The Totally Random Thread...
^ Indeed ...... seems to be going around this week.

Tell them your birthday is coming up, and to send you a present.

Good idea. I wouldn't be lying either because it really is coming up.

Was sad to see a For Sale sign on a neighbor's house. I don't actually know them, but they have this little Pomeranian that I would sometimes get to see on my walk. He weighs like six pounds but is utterly fearless, and has the most hilarious bark. I think he would kill me if he got the chance.

Re: The Totally Random Thread...
My coworker got the better of me today. He offered me a candy cane, which I accepted. So I’m eating it, not really thinking anything of it, when I notice him and others staring at me, obviously holding back laughter. So I ask them what’s so funny, and they’re like, “you really don’t notice it?”, so I press them further, and they tell me it’s a gag candy cane, and what I was told was a “sugar free caramel” candy cane was actually bacon flavored. Of course I became aware of the taste at that point, but I was already halfway through it, so I finished it. The aftertaste really gets you, though.

Sugar-free bacon candy cane sounds like a good idea!

Re: The Totally Random Thread...
I don't normally drink pop but I could really go for a tall, ice cold glass of root beer right about now.

Ugh working a double tomorrow, the regular dayshift DJs can't cover it.
The only thing worse than dayshift is a double. The only thing worse than a double is a double right after saturday night when I can never sleep due to adrenaline. The only thing worse than that is when the double is on a major party holiday and I'm expected to put on a serious show.

Omg! :rotfl: That made me laugh out loud, seriously. I'm imagining strippers somehow incorporating an Irish jig into their pole routine to bag pipe music and Irish folk songs. That would be ridiculous and silly. Maybe they expect you to wear a green kilt..commando..oh, sorry.

I'm pretty sure this isn't how it works..

I wanna be the person who gets to name animals at an animal shelter. And why not? If these fucking hippies and flower children can give cats names like "Blunt", "Hookah", and "Stash", why shouldn't I be able to give them Black Metal themed names? Can you imagine some little kid all giddy, "We got our new cats, Hellhammer and Necrobutcher!"? How fucking fantastic would that be? Though I might suggest they don't adopt Varg and Euronymous together. And it's not over the top. I mean, who the fuck comes up with these names at animal shelters anyhow? They named a fucking dog "Rocket", as if that's not going to be taken as some sort of double entendre. So, if these motherfuckers can do that, how is it ridiculous that I'd want to name a dog or cat "Blasphemer" or "Beelzebub"? I can do my part to help save the animals and do my part to bring contempt upon religion wherever possible. It's too fucking perfect!"
I'm really having a difficult time wrapping my head around this one.

If I had one superpower, it would be to absolutely not care what anyone thinks of me.
