We actually had a fairly comprehensive sex ed class (for the area and the time - I'm guessing things have changed since I was thirteen!!) but they still didn't cover this.
In fact, the older and more experienced I get, the ANGRIER I get about how the female side of sex is completely ignored in sex ed. We got screeds of info on STDs, Pregnancy and contraception. Huge amounts. We got a little bit on MALE masturbation being normal (they didn't outright say that girls shouldn't play with themselves, but we definitely weren't encouraged). We got some anatomical diagrams of the penis and uterus - but interestingly, only of the INTERNAL ORGANS of women - no mention of g-spot, clitoris or labia - just "here is your baby-making equipment" - I'm pretty sure that there was a cervix on that diagram, but certainly there was no mention of being able to feel it, or even a label on it. Nope - just, ovaries, tubes, womb. And although the male orgasm and ejaculate was covered, there was ZERO mention of the female orgasm or ejaculate.
Essentially, my sex ed told me that sex was dangerous and frightening, that all women should be using contraception AS WELL as relying on condoms, that women are there to make babies, and men are there to have the fun. The entire thing was skewed to present men as slavering sex-beasts, and women as virginal maids trying to preserve their babymakers until the right time. Ugh.
