Do any of you ladies know if there are actual physical studios for girls who are camming?
vegas mostly
Yes, there are. It depends on your location. Try looking on craigslist, backpage, kijiji, etc. Or if you see a girl on here who lives kind of sort of near you, you can try shooting her a PM and asking if they know of any. I live in AZ and I have never worked for a physical studio but I know of another girl who did and I could shoot her a PM on your behalf if you wanted.
From what I've heard there is really no reason to work in a physical studio unless you absolutely cannot cam from your home. The rates are usually very low, so low that you'd probably do better trying to cam in quiet or try a site like MGF where you can make money without having to be naked all the time.
Another option, depending upon what you are earning and factoring in how much you'd lose with a studio, is to consider renting a cheap motel with free wifi. Yes you would have to pay for the motel room but you may end up paying less than you'd lose in studio fees (once again, depending on how much you're earning and motel room rates in your area). Quick example, I cammed for a crappy SM studio where I was only making 20% rather than the standard 35%. That mean that for every $100 profit I made, I *would have* made $175 had I signed up directly. In a case like that it would make far more sense to drop $60 on a motel room because I'd still earn $15 more than I would have through the studio. Know what I mean?
...or you could try to negotiate a deal where you work on your OWN profiles (so you keep all your money), in exchange for some sort of fee for them letting you 'rent' their camming space.
^Yep, kind of like how strippers have to pay house fees. I'm not sure how receptive a studio would be to that idea but it's worth a shot. Just be honest with yourself about how much you are earning before you calculate if it's worth it to go that route. Example (because I hate math but I love numbers!): if you generally make $100 your cut per shift and they tell you you have to pay $50 per shift to cam there, you are only walking away with $50 profit. But, if they tell you they'll give you 20% and don't have to pay a house fee you'd walk away with $57.20 profit. Not a huge difference, but a few extra dollars over the days, weeks, and months really adds up. And these numbers are of course assuming that you ar working on SM and making the full 35% already.
(Those numbers are exactly why I'm so glad I'm not working for that studio- every time I walked away with $60 I would think, damn, that could have been $100 had I signed up directly. I can't tell you how much it sucked missing out on well over $1000 extra a month simply because I didn't do my research and went with that fakakta studio.)
Hi Daylen Rae,
If you are in SoCal, Valley Cam Girls may be an option. I don't know much about them, but their twitter is @ValleyCamGirls.
There's zero benefit to working in a physical studio. they seem like really, really scary places.
^^I've worked in a studio, not as a model though, it was a bit "scary" place, and models only got 50% of what they made, but they liked to be there. This couple I was working with had profiles for home-use too, but they NEVER used it for a minute. They were just procrastinating it. However when they came in to work they did pretty well and made a comfortable living on that 50% too.
There are benefits for actual studios, if you have nowhere to cam for example you can get yourself together and then head out to work independently. Or if you are willing to give up some money for not being a hermit at home. Or sometimes it can be good to have shifts to work, you go there, and once you are there, there are no excuses, there is nothing else you can do there, so you work those hours for sure. And you will go in, because if you don't, you mess up others day too and who wants to be a douchebag. :D
That is awesome info!!! Wish I was in LA!! It looks like that's where they are...I'm in SD...but thank you very much!! I think if I were to be going to a studio, I may as well just be in a strip club...I think I'm finding that I get lonely camming...I like to be around people..
