Finally, an official study about the mental health of women in the adult industry.
I would like to thank all of you wonderful ladies for being there to offer support and hugs on the good days and especially those bad days. Without you all, I would not be mentally sound. }:D

Re: Not as desperate as you think
I will just say that the only jobs that ever made me feel demeaned were retail and restaurant jobs. I always felt like a wage slave, with some dumb ass manager breathing down my neck. Having to be there when they say, and having do what they say. Being self-employed is fabulous and I would never want to go back to feeling like a caged animal at work. I would argue that my work is empowering. How many entry-level jobs could I complain about making at least $25/hour? Working for minimum wage or restaurant tips will always be far more demeaning to me than being a cam girl. I literally cannot envisage any vanilla job I'm qualified for where I could make even close to $20/hr. Fuck that!
Re: Not as desperate as you think
To add, $25/hr is my bare minimum. On MFC, I usually pretty easily pull $25-100+/hr there. It sucks right now, but it's generally awesome.
