Wait - I just want to make sure Im understanding you correctly. You're saying that one of your items has 200,000 viewers when all of your other items only typically have 200-300 viewers each, right? Or are you saying that one of your items OUT of the 200-300 items you have on there has 200,000 viewers?

I'm having an issue with the forum. Whenever I add a new post to a thread, my post does go through, but when I go back to the list of threads, it's not showing me as the last one who's posted.

Re: Have a Question Related to Camming? Unsure Where to Ask? Post ANY AND ALL Here!
^^ I know Fox,its happening to everyone.Well, atleast in Camming Connect. Not sure what the deal is,I see some new posts going right through in the latest posts section on the homepage but those posts are in other parts of the forum..I havent seen any CC ones update the last cple days.I hope its just a glitch and not something to do with hackers/viruses on the site.
Hopefully itll get fixed asap,I'd suggest everyone start a support ticket so that they are aware its the site and not just happening to a cple ppl - you can start one if you go to the homepage and scroll down to almost the bottom, its under the Site Issues section, you just make a new thread and thats the "ticket".

Re: Have a Question Related to Camming? Unsure Where to Ask? Post ANY AND ALL Here!
Okay. So I tried to increase the resolution of my webcam, to try and get a video that looks truly "HD".
But in the webcam program YouCam, AND windows movie maker, the video while I am recording will lag if I move to quickly.
Is there any way I can reduce the lag?
I know I can reduce the resolution....and I will try that if nothing else works. But I can't figure out why it is lagging! Webcams are so frustrating :(
edit: I have a new Samsung laptop with a new Logitech c510 webcam.

Re: Have a Question Related to Camming? Unsure Where to Ask? Post ANY AND ALL Here!
if the resolution is too high the pc is having problems processing such a big amount of data, what resolution u picked? sites requiring HD will ask for minimum 640x480, u can go a bit higher but not too much when working and when recording the same, dont pick the highest. u cant compare webcam quality to a handycam for example, i know my sony handycam gives cristal clear picture at 640x480 resolution and lower but i dont use it for work, just for pictures. it's lens quality/ clarity not resolution actually, my sony has Carl zeiss lenses;

I am confused about how the "HD" part of the webcam comes into play.
Does that mean at a lower resolution, it is still "HD" - just that the screen isn't as wide/long? ....I wasn't sure if a lower resolution when recording the video would actually change the quality or not >_<
Thanks for the quick reply.

Re: Have a Question Related to Camming? Unsure Where to Ask? Post ANY AND ALL Here!
Now u confuse me lol as u dont give enough info about what resolution u have set now or tried yet and what for (for streaming live session or for doing clips). 640x480 IS HD for streaming live session and also for recording clips, if u go higher the file size for clips will be alot higher, resolution means how many pixels (points) are into a frame picture, it's about quantity of information. my webcam for example is HD and has the highest resolution available more than 3 MEGAPIXELS which is huge amount of data to stream or shoot clips. Also, the frames per second are important too, 30 is great for a smooth real time movement and ideal for HD live stream and clips. Anyway, the higher resolution and frames per second the more data to process & all depends on what u wanna do there with ur webcam. Hope it makes sense, it's a bit difficult for me to explain all these in english but i hope i am helping :))

Oh sorry!
My webcam usually steams around 640x480 I believe.
I was attempting to record a video to sell for later on MGF - but I had raised the resolution to about 1000x700 or so (cant remember the specific numbers).
I wasn't sure if keeping it at the origional, smaller size would still be considered "HD".
Mine is 720p, and I believe it said 2megapixels?

Re: Have a Question Related to Camming? Unsure Where to Ask? Post ANY AND ALL Here!
I think u can try things out then watch the clip and see how it moves, maybe the resolution u tried is too high, dont know ur pc specifications, even is new it might not be very strong. Pick a reasonable resolution where u dont lag. Good luck :)

"New" samsung doesn't really provide a lot of info...what processor are you running? Memory?
What does your CPU usage look like when you are streaming?

It says:
AMD A6-3420M APU with radeon (tm) HD Graphics, 1500 mhz, 4 cores
It says:
"available physical memory: 3.15 GB"
"available virtual memory: 7.65 GB"
I downloaded game booster (which shuts down unnecessary computer processes, but that doesnt effect how I look when I am streaming live in a cam show..).

Hey Ruby, have you read the C4S thread in the Industry Insight Section? I know you said you are on MGF but believe me,what's considered HD and all sorts of other valuable info is in there.
I will admit it IS long, especially in the first maybe 10-20 pages where banking issues are discussed and debated in it,but Im tellin ya,I really think you'd learn alot from it,I certainly have. And you could always post your questions in that thread - you dont have to specify its for MGF - which site you work would be irrelevant since your questions are just webcam related, they've always helped me out with all of my issues!

That processor is pretty low performance and wouldn't surprise me if it lagged like a fiend, especially when rendering. You also are under on ram as "virtual memory" isn't REAL memory. 4gb is very low RAM wise. If I had to wager a guess you caught an old model of laptop on sale, which tends to happen a lot.
Make sure you're always in High Performance battery mode as Energy Saver/Balanced/etc... will cut performance. I'd recommend upgrading your RAM, but working towards replacing your laptop in the not-so-distant future.
Recording shouldn't really be lagging though unless you have a lot of other things running... check the framerate you're recording in.

Yes the laptop was on sale. I got it for about 500~ in novemeber I believe? From best buy.
That sucks if it's just shitty but the sell it as if it's a "good deal". I mean, yeah I can make the money for now to replace it, but I just bought the thing and it should really be decent quality...since laptops are a dime a dozen now and everyone has one >_<
I'll make sure it's in high performance, I am pretty sure it's in balanced mode most of the time.
To upgrade RAM, do I need to take it into a place like best buy or future shop for them to install more? In total it has about 6RAM~, but with all the programs and shit on it that comes with the laptop....you never really get the full amount.
i'll check the framerate aswell - I'll stop trying to record in higher resolutions too....I guess I can't go higher than 600x400 or whatever it is? =/
Thanks for the insight, I appreciate it very much.

Re: Have a Question Related to Camming? Unsure Where to Ask? Post ANY AND ALL Here!
Before I end up spending money on something I can't even use (I need a Logitech HD cam that definitely works in a USB 3.0 port), I wanted to ask you ladies...does the Logitech C920 work in USB 3.0 ports? If so, I want to buy it online and have it arrive as quickly as possible. My new i7 laptop won't allow me to use the old C910 cam, because apparently that cam will only work in USB 2.0 ports. So basically I have to continue camming on my old ass Sony VAIO laptop until I buy a cam that will work with 3.0 ports.
The Logitech C920 will work fine with it, right? Thanks, ladies!

Re: Have a Question Related to Camming? Unsure Where to Ask? Post ANY AND ALL Here!
basically ur new laptop has 3.0 usb ports and ur 910 is running on 2.0 and it wont work in ur new laptop so ur wondering if the c920 works with 3.0 so ur can upgrade ur webcam and have a webcam that works on ur new laptop?
edit
i have a fairly newish laptop that i got when windows 8 came out (i saw it online and had to wait till 8 came out - the laptop and 8 launched the same day) i just looked up my laptop models specs and apparently the usb ports are 3.0 and i have a c920 so ur good to go and yet one yay!

Just a warning: one of the things ImLive is strict about in freechat are pets on cam, they dont stress it compared to other rules but I know that is one of the rules that are known to be enforced. I got in trouble and awhile ago other people here got in trouble for it - no fines or anything, I got a few stern emails and I think someone got suspended for 24-48hrs. Not sure how much they care now as this was 2011 or so, but fyi since other sites are more lax about that.

Re: Have a Question Related to Camming? Unsure Where to Ask? Post ANY AND ALL Here!
I posted in the Streamate thread, but no one seemed to know so I thought I'd ask it again here.
If you ban someone on Streamate, can the other guys see that he was banned?
If you kick a guy on Stramate, can the other guys see if he was kicked?
Thanks lovelies!

Re: Have a Question Related to Camming? Unsure Where to Ask? Post ANY AND ALL Here!
No, they can't see either way. All they can see is his screen name disappear from your list of online members if they are looking.

Re: Have a Question Related to Camming? Unsure Where to Ask? Post ANY AND ALL Here!
If i watch a room on SM as invisible guest (dont have member account) I CAN SEE when a guy is banned but not when he is kicked, when banned i see the text the models see in chatroom "member x was banned from chatroom". I work Classic chat where people dont see eachothers text but i think they notice when i ban somebody, i kinda remember some comments on it but cant be 100% sure.

Re: Have a Question Related to Camming? Unsure Where to Ask? Post ANY AND ALL Here!
Okay, let me rephrase that...You can see on a mobile device when someone is banned. I've never been able to see when someone was banned from a room on my member account while on the computer though.
