Firstly, we are much harder on our bodies than men-most wouldn't notice a small scar or lump (regardless of whether they can see it, or feel it)!
You want it removed quickly, so while it's probably free, the trail might "take years" like you said-or possibly not work at all. It's worth a try if you feel that it's safe and you are comfortable with being a "guinea pig"/the time factor.
If you opt for the surgery, I wouldn't worry about it being obvious. A small dent or scar wouldn't be noticeable under club lighting (or even normal lighting when under tan or covered with make-up such as Dermablend) and both should lessen over time. A scar can always be covered up, or even treated via laser scar removal sessions as well.
Idk about the anesthesia interfering with ADD medication (if you are on any) or the condition in general, but your doctor should be able to tell you this :).
Don't have much medical advice to give, but I had a pretty bad scar and Mederma (found at the drugstore) literally made it disappear. I should have taken before and after pictures!
Also, my mom had skin cancer on her neck and used BioOil on the scar and it also went away, so either of those remedies would help I think.
I agree with Olive, guys really don't care as much as we think they do!
If I were in your position, I would just get it over with and start healing. The other procedure might not work and will take longer. I figure the sooner you get it done, the sooner you'll realize the scar isn't that big of a deal and can get your mojo back!
