I was a raver back in my late teens and early 20's. I ran into an old friend from high school and she's still doing it! Wow! Wondering if any other ravers are here?

I partied back in my 20's maybe a little older than you, still have some Vinyl of some labels that are no longer. My spot was downtown Orlando in the 90's, Kimball Collins.
Not a raver..but i LOVE wearing my Raver Costume }:D
I went to my first rave in high school, a kind of shady underground one. Then I went to Electric Daisy Carnival and Together As One.
However in the past few years raves have gotten really commercial and the crowd has changed where there's a lot more... what's the word I'm looking for... douchebags, wannabes, trendy people that are not the nice, respectful (most of the time), and fun.
I also didn't do any drugs (except weed) and still had a great time regardless.
I'd consider going again, but TBH I'd rather go to Coachella and dance in the electronic music tent :)
I am a raver :)
Yesss EDC is the closest thing ive been to even though it was alot of teeny boppers still had a blast:) Planning to go to the one in Vegas this year:)
Just realized I sound like a total snob in my post! Not my intention :)
Raver girl StripperWeb meetup? hehe
I was in my teens/early twenty's,basically when I started dancing. There was a place in my city called "The Warehouse",it really was a old warehouse that all the club kids would literately party at for days on end.It was a fun place,I miss it and that period of time in my life.
I went to all the eDcs last year and been going to the LA/Vegas one since 2010. It's literally my life lol. And I go to the warehouse raves in brooklyn, too. :)
Was.... I knew the shuffle years before it got commercial (they aint doin' it right in the LMFAO track either).
Def not lol ^
Way back when.... ten yrs then I decided to calm down a little. I still listen to oldschool house breaks from the 90s.
^bump..looking to listen...
Ha! Oh wow unbeleavable. If memory serves...wasn't it "The Edge" in Orlando? I'm in your same 90's Orlando pool...Tampa/Clearwater too. Wow...haven't thought of that in ages.
^^Yep, & Ahzz was the first club that I went to in Otown, Edge & Firestone popped up after. There was a private club in gainesville fl. called Simmons that was pretty bad ass.
Totally forgot about Firestone...wow.

FIRESTone is actually getting very ravey now.
^^this doesn't surprise me, watered down...not the real anymore. The things I saw in that club will never be forgotten, people going off like no other place I've seen.
i did go to raves and take x... in 93-95. I am so old! 34 years and counting...

I was. I still gogo dance at some events
Haha I was for sure! I would go to clubs specifically because of hearing about a certain DJ being in town. Ohh I loved that time so much fun, glow sticks , furry booties ugg! I miss clubbing like that. Just no time and really now I'm so much of a shut in that I don't think I can handle that over kill of body heat, sweating, vomit breath on anyone that tries to whisper to you over the music.
Good times though. I still try to get out to a club once or twice a year and dance but I feel like I'm falling out of the "known" current djs.
Hahah this track seems fitting.

Lol @EDC someone tried to invite me to that a year ago. I was like ummm can't make it. One of my ex's was also a DJ and his friends ended up opening their own spot to spin. Great times. Also underground warehouse raves? *sigh* . There's something wonderful about a bunch of strangers treating each other like long lost relatives. I had a love for humankind then:) I mean you just felt so happy when that sick beat hit you. Plus people seemed so kind and warm ( most likely they were rolling) lol
When I go to clubs now it's a meat market fest. Not quite the same as people that really are there for the music and love the vibe.
I did "e" a few times but saw friends hit it hard. I mean grinding their teeth hard. I felt wonderful but I was too afraid to do it more than 3 times. So that was it 3 times and never again.
