Share your money mantras/affirmations
So I was talking to my therapist about affirmations and how I feel like they work sometimes but not always. She asked me "well, do you always believe them?" And I said "not always. I thought your subconscious was supposed to believe them if you repeat it enough times" WRONG! According to her in order for affirmations to be effective they have to be believable or your brain will reject it. I think back to all the times I went to work on a Monday day shift telling myself I would make $1500 but in the back of my head I'm like "pfft! Yeah right that'll never happen!" Unknowingly setting myself up for failure. I do believe in the law of attraction I just think maybe I go about it the wrong way setting goals that I don't actually BELIEVE I can reach. I've heard that focusing on lack of money will not bring you money so saying things like "I have more than enough money" makes me focus on my lack because I don't believe it and then I don't make money
what are some BELIEVABLE effective money affirmations?

Re: Share your money mantras/affirmations
IMO $$$ amounts are good for goals, not affirmations.
I love how I'm always making so much money every shift. I love when men come to ask me for dances. I love how I make money so easily. I love how I always enjoy working. I love how lucky I am to always be making money. (Pretty sure I got these from here, so credit to whoever came up with them!)

Re: Share your money mantras/affirmations
i usually either
a) tell myself i don't care what i make tonight, beause even if i only make $100 that's $150 more than i'd have if i went out and spent money at happy hour with my girlfriends or whatever
b) set a low/reasonable goal for myself. like say, $200. and i tell myself if i make that i'll be content and can go home if i want. usually i meet my goal with time to spare and at that point am 'in the zone' and feel like i'm making money and doing well so i almost always stay and make more.
and of course always tell myself i'm the hottest girl in the club and every guy is looking at me when i walk by and wants a dance so i should go talk to them.. every once in a while i do the same thing though and in the back of my head think "yeah right" and on those days i usually try to just not come in or end up leaving early.

Re: Share your money mantras/affirmations
Very true I used to always try to affirmations before but my subconscious didnt believe them, but for the past couple of months Ive been really focused and saying my affirmations, i need to save ALOT of money by May 2013. Infact Ive found that when I say my affirmations before I go in the club and then dont think about them once im there I do awesome. I say a bunch in the mirror, while im driving, in the shower, but two that sticks out and seems to really work for me are" im a goddess, i attract money easily and effortlessly." Also i say something like," men worship me and spends lots of money on me."
On days I really focus on chanting this before I go in I make money so easily! I had one guy pay me just to sit there and drink and have dinner with him for maybe an hour or so, and when I went back to count it was 600 well 700 if you count the torn a hundred bill but he lost the other part drunk ass lol. He comes to see me every Sat now. But how I know they really work because just this past sunday I had my first domme customer come in!!! I always get them on cam but never irl. Its so much better too! He went to the ATM twice spent 3 hours in the back with me and tipped. I kept demanding money and he would give it to me until he said he was out. All for me to tell him he isnt worthy of me and knee him in the balls. I asked him what attracted him to me since he wanted that domme experience, he said idk you seemed like a goddess that deserved to be worshipped:). Also Ill walk up to guys and ask for tips if they say no for a dance and I will get tipped anywhere from 20-40 from some. Ive been trying the law of attraction for a long time and reading that thread and still having the same experience decent nights 300-400, and every now and then 500 or more, but affirmations seem to really work for me and have helped me get closer to the 1000 dollar nights:)with much less work! Hopefully soon ill start having 1000 and up nights consistently:)

Re: Share your money mantras/affirmations
In To Sell Is Human, Dan Pink shares some interesting info about affirmations!
He has a passage in there that concludes affirmations are more effective when you ask them in the form of a question, rather than a statement, because they promote more "self-talk."
I don't have the book in front of me right now, but basically as an example:
"I'm so lucky that men always say yes to my close."
Instead you'd say,
"Why do men always say yes to my close?!" (Of course in an upbeat, flabbergasted way :P )
Which leads you to answer the question,
"Because whenever I sit down with a customer, I am always closing and use good sales techniques. Because I am always touching them, mirroring, listening and seducing them rather than appearing bored or too platonic."
This reminds you to use good closing techniques when you sell, making you more effective. Also, if you think of a time where you DIDN'T seal the deal, you're answer will be equally as helpful. "Well, I didn't close my VIP sale last time I was at work because I forgot to repeat his name in conversation, and wasn't intimate enough in our interactions." Thereby reminding you to repeat your customers' names, touch his arm or his leg more frequently, be more seductive, etc.
Another example could be:
"I will make $1000 tonight."
Into:
"CAN I make $1000 tonight?"
In the same way, you're challenging yourself. "Yes, I can make $1000 tonight because I am going to wear the red dress that always makes me the most money, and I am going to talk to every customer in the room until I sell a champagne suite."
This way, you're setting more attainable goals for yourself, giving yourself a strategy, AND still keeping that $1000 mark in mind. :)

Re: Share your money mantras/affirmations
I thought of a few that might work for people like me who have a hard time really believing that they're a "goddess" or the "hottest girl in the club" (I'm not knocking anyone else!!! My self esteem is just not that high...)
I always try my best
Men like me
I get what I want most of the time
I do not give up
I can easily make $x (however much you usually make +$100) if I stay on the floor for a few more minutes longer

Right the reasonable goal or BELIEVABLE goal is key. You can easily make what you BELIEVE you can. High goals can backfire because if you're at work and things aren't going your way, you think about your goal and get discouraged. I don't make up goals that would require spending hours in the champagne room because I don't believe a customer would come in and spend thousands of dollars on me. Call me a pessimist, but my club has been very slow and I have yet to find a quality customer like that.
The good thing is that when I set a goal I can visualize without scoffing at I always make it! I am making baby steps towards larger goals.

Re: Share your money mantras/affirmations
I'm going to start doing these and perfecting my perfect mantra. Today on the drive down I used one from above " im a goddess, i attract money easily and effortlessly." and "i love how men tip me graciously. I love how customers appreciate me and want to give me thier money." I had a decent night but the lowest I was tipped all night for a dance was $15! That's rare here to happen with several different people in the same night. Thanks so much to everyone that posted, I'm going to start doing this all the time and come up with one specific to selling a set number of dances.. Or so many per hour.
I also don't like telling myself something that sounds conceited... But it doesn't
Seem to matter if you think your the hottest girl or gods gift to men for this to work. That's why I liked the goddess one because goddess can have a broad definition. And we all have a goddess somewhere within ourselfs.
<3 thanks

I just look down and say "I have a chest ATM"

Re: Share your money mantras/affirmations
I know it sounds corny, but I really do believe in "the power of positive thinking"/staying positive i.e. If it's a quiet night and everyone's moaning-I'm thinking, "It only takes that one guy *scans room*". I don't let anything effect my mood at work. Or, if anything ever does (and it takes A LOT) it won't be for long-and no one will see it.
Having goals is great :). I have numbers I deem "acceptable" for each day lol, and work hard until I match it...and raise it ;).

Re: Share your money mantras/affirmations
i set a reasonable goal, i ALWAYS assume the sale. always works for me personally. the days when i go up to a person doubting they will get a dance they never do. i could do and say the exact same things, but it never works unless i assume they will get dances in my own mind, and i repeat silently to myself " yes, yes you want a dance, yes yes" or something like that. pretty hokey but it works everytime for me! hell, i mean a thought has power to some degree right?

Great, except I'd say, I love how I get tipped generously you can get a 1.00 tip graciously, although it's still something. I left out men too cause women can tip us. although usually they don't..?

Yes, a thought does have power, which's why LOA law of attract. works. I need to work on my affirmations too.

Never thought I'd quote the Bible but "Ask and ye shall receive" especially when you have huge fake knockers :-D
-
Re: Share your money mantras/affirmations
A good book I just read on affirmations and LOA is "The Game of life and how to play it" by it Florence Scovel Shinn. If you can get past the excessive religious terminology and bible references very good read.

Every dog will have its day. Mine wasn't today. It might be tomorrow, it might be next week. This job is all about feast or famine. Save the feast to tide you over through the famine. Know there is a fine line between positive thinking and being delusional. Know when to call it a day, regroup and try again. Otherwise you feel even more like shit.

Re: Share your money mantras/affirmations
OP, not sure if this has been mentioned already in the thread, but when I feel down on my luck I'll read a couple of chapters from "Think and Grow Rich". Seriously, its as if that book gives me a pep talk to believe that not only will I make that money, but I will have it in my hand by the end of the night.

Re: Share your money mantras/affirmations
My recent one is kind of plain, but its supposed to just get my ass into the workplace and function like a sexy robot:
"I work four days a week:
Sunday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday.
I average $xxx per shift. It's easy."
Surprisingly, I'm making double my average from 2-3 years ago, but I don't even feel like I'm working harder than i used to, per se... I actually feel like I'm working *less* hard.
Right now my goal is to get really good at selling rooms.

Re: Share your money mantras/affirmations
these are written down from a youtube video, i say them out loud 3-4x each (like a crazy person lol) before i work. not sure why but these phrases seem to be the ones that help me most.
I attract money.
I can make tons of money.
Making money is easy.
I know how to make money.
I make money easily.
Money comes easily to me.
Every day I make more money.
I know what to do to make money.
Money flows to me.
I enjoy making money.
Money is easy to make.
I am a money magnet.

Re: Share your money mantras/affirmations
There is a guy on youtube called Bashar and he goes into a lot about your belief systems and definitions that we have of certain words that can effect us negatively. I think there is no perfect affirmation for everyone, only what works for you. Abraham Hicks, Bob Proctor, Mike Dooley are all good to listen to with the same LOA message of course there are hundreds more. My favourite LOA books:
"Power of your subconscious mind" by J. Murphy
"New thought Manifesto" by David Cameron Gikandi
"Change your thoughts Change your life" by Wayne Dyer
This is something I listen to on a weekly basis. I find it so relaxing.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txE5IN0h8vI
My mantras:
I'm perfect
Today is going to be awesome
Nobody can do it like me
I'm fulfilling my life purpose
I'm gonna get what I want today
I always take steps toward my goals
I always have money to do what I want
I have time for everything
I'm happy and grateful for all my experiences

Re: Share your money mantras/affirmations
I love Think And Grow Rich, and am currently re-reading Your Magic Power To Be Rich - which includes The Magic Ladder to Success and The Master Key To Riches as well. Like Sansonnet, if I feel my mojo going - I just read a little bit and all is well again!
My favorite is very, very simple, and works because I love the imagery.
"I am in the vortex"
I immediately can see myself working the floor, constantly leading every guy up to dance, to VIP, getting tipped, a force of nature. I love it.
From this site:
"When you perform, you are out of yourself - larger and more potent, more beautiful. You are for minutes heroic. This is power. This is glory on earth. And it is yours, nightly" - I love this. It makes me throw my shoulders back and rally, not matter how slow the night.
In general, I like to find reasons that it will be an amazing night, the same way that some dancers like to find reasons that it will be bad! You know the ones - who will claim that summer is slow because people are on patios, but winter is slow because people don't want to leave the house. Just flip it, and find good reasons that it will be amazing. Every night. As long as you believe them, you will be able to create a situation where you are always looking for reasons to earn, believing them, having faith and then achieving those targets.
i.e.:
- It will be a great night on Monday, because there are so few girls working, so I have zero competition. All the business types will be in lamenting the start of the week, and it will make it so easy to sell fun VIPs.
- It will be a great night tonight - it has been such a sunny day, everyone will have been out drinking and looking for fun now!
- It will be a great night tonight - x game/show/event was on, so there will be crowds coming in to spend after, all pumped up
- It was the bonus payout at the end of the quarter this week, all the city boys will be out to spend their money.
Like someone else said - it is all about finding something BELIEVABLE - if you don't truly believe it, it will not happen. You can repeat the same words a hundred times, but you need to find that way to truly convince yourself.

Re: Share your money mantras/affirmations
I took ideas from this thread, and wrote out an affirmation tonight: I attract guys who love to spend money on me. I've been keeping it by my comp and webcam, and I read it when my room is dead. Looking forward to seeing the results. I am hugely into metaphysics

Re: Share your money mantras/affirmations
This book has been recommended to me by a teacher whom I respect greatly, http://www.bookworld.com.au/book/the...FQs7pgodJDwAAQ
I am starting to investigate whether stating an affirmation in terms of already having what Im affirming eg. I am making amazing money. is sending a mixed message to the universe.
The universe is a benevolent provider, if I tell it I already have what I desire then does it get the message I'm already provided for and satisfied on that count? TBC...
