I waited a little while to post this, because I wanted to give ELM the benefit of the doubt. I've decided to post as a cautionary tale, in case anyone else has this issue and hasn't noticed it yet.
I've let my ELM balance pile up and pile up. I raised my minimum payout so that my balance would just keep growing. I tend to know EXACTLY how much money I have on each site (result of being screwed over multiple times). A couple weeks ago I actually screencapped my credit balance. Not sure why, just did. Then I went to bed. In the morning, I had made a sale - 10 credits to a regular. But my balance hadn't changed. I waited and waited, but still no change. Refresh the page, log out log in, still no change. I went to my balance page (Seller > Balance), and the 10 credits weren't there. I went to my sales page (Seller > Manage Work) and yes, a sale had been made... so where were my credits?
After emailing ELM they informed me that the credits only update once per day. I had NEVER encountered that before, and I make a fair few sales there. But, alright, I'll take their word on it. It fixed eventually, but then I started scrolling through my Balance page anyway. Way back at the end of January, RIGHT after my last cashout, I noticed it said -20 credits, bought new job.
Um. What?
As much as I support all my fellow cam ladies, I have never bought anything. I've supported a few ELM girls by getting their promos & leaving reviews, but in general - I'm on sites to make money, not spend it. Especially not 20 credits on someone I don't know. (If I'm spending 20 credits, I'm going to spend it on Tara Tainton, because, jeeez, that woman is like my idol). I am most definitely not spending it on some RANDOM girl, or on her masturbation video (I can't watch girls masturbate, I feel weird; I'd much prefer learning from a fetish video).
So then I take a look at WHY didn't I notice the 20 credit drop? Because 20 credits in SALES were made just minutes before.
Turns out, that girl spent 20 credits on three of my ass fetish videos, and then three minutes later, I spend 20 credits on her. Odd, right?
I look at the three videos she bought from me... one is 9 credits, she paid 9; another is 9 credits, she paid ... 10? .... the third is 15 credits, she paid 1.
WHAT.
Emailed ELM and asked them about it. They start asking if I am just basing this off of my balance page. Uh yes that is it's function. They've suggested I changed the price, or had it on sale. !!!! [If you know who I am on ELM, you know damn well I would never ever ever put up a ~9 minute fetish video FOR $0.65]. I told them that, and they apparently emailed the other girl to see if she had noticed anything as well. I've also emailed her, but haven't heard anything.
Judging by her Feedback page, she's bought a few videos from other girls, all at the same time she bought mine (January 25).
Keep an eye on your credits ladies. I really hope this is just a random glitch, but another girl I spoke to has said she has had to contact ELM about missing credits as well (but hers were fixed right away).
Like I said, I've given them the benefit of the doubt, but it's been 12 days since I brought this to their attention and it still hasn't been resolved. Yesterday they responded (after I waited six days to hear from them) "We haven't had a response from [**the other girl who bought my videos, and who I supposedly bought from**] so we suspended her account for now until we get more information about what happened."
I've suspended ALL 426 of my products until this is resolved.
