How to Paint Your Nipples!
Couldn't find a thread on this when I first started, so I thought I'd make one now that I know how to put it on.
So, in my area, nipples must be covered, and the covering of choice is liquid latex.
Personally, I have only used latex once, and my preference is for fabric paint. I'll list some pros and cons of each (totally my opinion; many DO prefer latex, so you should give it a shot at least once) and tell you how to apply.
LATEX
Pros: dries quicker, finishes smoother, looks more natural
Cons: more expensive, dries out nipples, peels more easily, has to be covered with makeup (if it's the clear kind; I've seen girls use the colored latex, which is actually more opaque than fabric paint)
FABRIC PAINT
Pros: cheaper, lots of color options, more staying power
Cons: slower to dry, harder to apply evenly, can look obvious if color is too bright
WHAT TO GET:
Latex or paint in clear, pink, gold, brown, or similar. Pick a color that matches your skin-tone. If you are dark-complected, hot pink will look weird; browns look strange on fair skin. Gold looks good on everyone. DO NOT GET THE GLOW PAINT! It glows green, not pink. If you get a sparkle paint, it WILL be transluscent. Get a solid color to put underneath. I absolutely love the look of gold paint with the pink glitter paint on top. If you purchase clear latex, you can use bronzer or eyeshadow over it. Local laws may vary, but in my area, the paint absolutely cannot be clear or transluscent.
OTHER HANDY SUPPLIES:
Q-Tips
Hairdrier
Baby wipes
Hairspray
Transluscent powder
HOW TO APPLY:
(This section applies to fabric paint - latex application is similar overall, but it is a thinner liquid and you can generally just brush it on straight from the bottle)
1) Apply a very small drop of paint to your nipple - about the size of a pea.
2) Spread the paint in circular motions around your nipple and areola. The final product should be a barely-noticable sheen of paint covering your entire nipple.
3) Repeat on the other nipple.
4) Use a hairdrier to speed up the drying process. 30 seconds to 1 minute total should suffice, depending on the strength of your hairdrier, and how long you aim it at each nipple. I alternate between the right and left about once every 5 seconds. If you're more sensitive, alternate more often. If you're less sensitive, you can leave it on each nipple for longer. When it starts to feel hot - move it! It does not feel nice to scorch the nips with the hairdrier.
5) Repeat. 3-4 coats is usually good.
6) Spray with hairspray and wipe off excess with a baby wipe.
7) Dust with transluscent powder.
USEFUL TIPS:
-Your nipples may get erect when you paint them. It doesn't matter. The paint is flexible. I didn't know this and spent an HOUR on the day of my audition just trying to get my nipples soft between coats. It will not just stick that way and look weird, and even if it DOES, the club is most likely too dark for it to make a difference.
-Do not be tempted to just do one thick coat. It will take forever to dry, and it will never be even.
-Most girls in my club only do one coat. I will be laughing at them when we get raided and their nipple-paint is insufficient. LEGAL means you can peel it off and a flashlight won't shine through.
-Do your nipples before you go in if you can. One less thing to worry about in the dressing room.
If you are also a dancer in the latex belt, please feel free to share your method! Different ways work better for different people, but there's mine for now!

Why would a dancer want to paint their nipples? .... 0.0

Certain areas require nipples to be covered. Mostly in the midwest. Apparently, latex on the nips keeps it from being prostitution.

Re: How to Paint Your Nipples!
I had to do this for years, it's a health code law to keep girls from lactating on people (at least that was the reason in L-Burg Indiana where I was)
I had to do it in Alabama too, it's the most annoying thing because everybody asks what's up with it. XD I had it down to a fine art, I could wear my stuff through an entire double without it peeling =)

Re: How to Paint Your Nipples!
I recommend doing it before doing your make-up and giving it a good 20-30 minutes to dry, apply 2 coats, give the first coat about 5 minutes to dry then apply the second and put a bit of eyeshadow or blush on only the tip of the nipple before putting on the paint (I only used fabric paint due to an latex allergy) (makes it come off that area easier so you're not scratching/picking at your nipples to get it off) then after it's "completely" dry (it'll never be completely dry this stuff takes 24hours to dry) put on more eyeshadow or blush or whatever some kind of powder on top of the paint to absorb any extra moisture so it doesn't stick to itself when you put your top on and get all peely/flakey/gross looking
and use a q-tip and apply it in circles until you have a even layer and make sure the edges aren't too thin or you'll be picking it off forever and make sure it's not too thick or it'll peel easily, it took me many years of trial-and-error and practice

Re: How to Paint Your Nipples!
isn't that bad for your nipple skin? especially if you ARE lactating? i worked at a pasties club and they never let us do that it was all big ugly flower pasties ick
-
Re: How to Paint Your Nipples!
the latex is bad for your skin, I've never had problems with the paint, after you get used to the pain of pulling it off anyways
right on the latex bottle it says "do not apply to skin" XD

Re: How to Paint Your Nipples!
When I've worked pasties clubs, we had to use a latex blend (with fabric and acrylic paint) or just latex... no real pasties were allowed since Houston requires non-SOB club entertainers have to cover the breast three fingers above the nipple all the way to the bottom of the breast and all away across the sides!!! Ugh. You also couldn't wear a latex that matched your skin too much without risk of going to jail for it... the color had to contrast. :(
I had to find a non-latex club since my latex allergies got out-of-hand; I got what looked like chemical burns on my boobs with sores. Has anyone else gotten that from the paint, or am I just weird?

Re: How to Paint Your Nipples!
I knew a girl who's nipples started bleeding from the latex, she went to the hospital and found out she had a latex allergy, after that she put EVERYTHING she could find on her nipples until we discovered the paint, lol, Elmers school glue and nail polish, I'm glad my allergy never got that bad, I started cutting up band-aids into circles for my nipple covers until we discovered the paint

holy crap! i swore i'd never work at a pasties club again but this is awful!! that would cover up MORE than my entire boob! can't you just wear a bra all the time? sounds less painful

Re: How to Paint Your Nipples!
We just use nail polish in our club. I'm constantly having to reapply all night because I have super lactating boobs. I use the colors that glow in the blacklight too, I think it's funny to have a "bullseye" on my boobs and it can be a conversation starter sometimes.

Re: How to Paint Your Nipples!
simone-- Most bras and tops don't cover enough per Houston rules, and all the clubs I've worked required the latex after girls got in trouble for just wearing tops. I'm glad I work outside city limits so I don't have to bother with it.

Maybe because I dont strip yet i dont understand this but how can laxtex cover more then a bra? 0.0

Re: How to Paint Your Nipples!
Most of your cleavage is covered- on the insides and outsides-- and three fingers above the nipple, which is more coverage than any sexy lingerie or bikini tops on me. I'd have to get a full coverage bra to in order to be legal, and clubs make you take your top off stage usually, forcing you to put on the latex.

Re: How to Paint Your Nipples!
we gotta beat up the people voting on this shit, it's like the no shoes = prostitute law lmao
-
Re: How to Paint Your Nipples!
From what I understand, no one actually voted on it. Vice came up with a standard all on its own, and they have changed it without warning before... ugh.

whats the no shoes=prostitute law?

Re: How to Paint Your Nipples!
In Houston you have to cover up a lot of boob for it to be legal.
A tip for latex and paint is to pour a bit on the table/or something and use the end up a kabuki brush or something round and apply the paint/latex like that. This doesn't make sense. I can draw a picture or something. Latex is always better when covered with some powder. It always peels off.

Re: How to Paint Your Nipples!
Another club I worked at in Richmond used the sticky bra things. We cut them into circles for our nipples.

Re: How to Paint Your Nipples!
When I worked in Alabama you could get charged with prostitution for taking off your shoes

Re: How to Paint Your Nipples!
^Yep. Here in Texas too. Worse than having your latex fall off it seems.

Re: How to Paint Your Nipples!
Oh christ. I hate this. And each club that I've worked at his been different. One manager told me pasties were fine, then three senior dancers freaked out and said I would be arrested. Then I used silver paint at another club and I was told I was an idiot and should use nude. And the worst part is peeling it all off after a long night. "Cruel and unusual" comes to mind.

Re: How to Paint Your Nipples!
Has anybody tried this stuff? I'm curious as to whether it would be thick enough or not.
