Makin the most you can in floor dance only club
Hi there ladies,
I'm going to work at a small club out of town that only offers stages and floor dances. It's a really small place and since there is not pvt area for dances, it would be silly to try to close them on dances by suggesting intimacy/going somewhere pvt... Maybe it's better to sell time (1/2 hr or 1hr...)? And if songs are about 3.5 min and I am charging 40/song what should I charge for time on a slow night as opposed to a busy night?
I really just want to make the most $$$ possible as I won't be there for very long and need to make it worth my while.
The last time I worked there I was permitted to leave the stage during shows to provoke tips. This was great because they were usually $20s and $50s. Should I be able to procure such a recurring event I would be most grateful. Any tips for things maybe I could come and whisper in their ear during my set to enduce them to tip?
Any tips would be very helpful, thanks ; )

Using the word "intimate" in place of private might work

Treat your first day there are a learning experience, because you'll really be able to nail down the prices once you're there and see what people are willing and able to afford.
Still, as a starting point, a half hour of straight dancing would get you $340, so I'd say offer it up as $300/hh. They customer gets a deal in the free dance (great selling point), and you're not losing out on lost opportunity since you'd probably eat up a song by waiting for another one to start for a dance anyway. You can call it an intimate half hour or something. If the customer balks, offer them something different and cheaper.... A half hour of dances and drinks for $250, and make sure you're not dancing the entire time. Or even offer $150 for 15 mins to give them a taste. If you're good at thinking off the top of your head, I think you could do really well there. Like, frame the options not as negotiating on price but rather running through a menu of options (names for each are a good way to do that).
If there's ANY type of different seating, use it. Like, best and most comfy seats get the highest price. Staying where you are is cheapest.
Good luck and let me know how it goes!

How about timing? Obviously discreetly glancing over at a clock on the wall would be preferred, how do you usually keep track? just count the songs to get an idea of how much time has passed or set an alarm on your phone?

With regulars, I set an alarm on my phone. With new customers, I usually just keep count in my head of how many songs we're at, so with your song lengths 8-9 songs (8 full songs plus whatever is left of the song playing when you start) for 30 minutes. Of course, if they make a fuss I'll just set an alarm on my phone.
