Using the c920s controls with Streammate without using Many Cams - Help
I cant use the zoom controls at all unless I'm using Many Cams but its making my cam quality bad (it makes it kinda grainy I guess) I try to use the logitec software and it says it cant do anything because the cam is being used by my browser and SM obvi doesn't have cam control functions and I cant not use zoom because all my boyfriends stuff he "has to have out" and my boxes we have tucked around the room off the view of the cam when its zoomed in shows when i do that and sometimes i like to use it during shows when guys ask for close ups.

you can use a program like iglasses which you can zoom in an out with/rotate etc.
p.s. I also have a c920 and use iglasses on my mac

Its only for macs but the search results came up with some alternatives for windows so ill see what i can come up with. Thank tho . what does this program do ?

you can change the brightness/contrast etc. flip the camera, rotate it, zoom.. and it also has special effects so you can make yourself black and white, or crazy colors, or twist your face around? (not sure how to describe that) haha :)

Are you using the encoder? What sort of computer do you have? Is there another program running in the background? Have you updated the drivers recently? Sometimes updates fuck you up. Your boyfriend is he using the bandwidth at the same time you are camming? And another question sorry so many, but when did this start happening? Sometimes the process of elimination can help get to the source.

the past two days i havent because ive been problems with the encoder i have i5 wind 8 laptop. i havent updated the drivers and i dont know when this started happening its probably been happening the whole time and i never knew because guys werent saying anything about it. i figured out how to get the controls to work while SM is running tho and not using many cams makes things much better but now apparently theres a white over cast to my cam due to the backlight of my computer screen that someone complained about then left. i turned off my light in my room and you can see me really nicely but its clear that i have my light off and that now might be turning off guys too. I was told to fix the white-ness by getting a red light bulb because she also has a c920 was she talking about those colored bulbs u can get at walmart in the lighting/hardware dept?

Hmmm that sounds odd? Yes you can use colored light bulbs to help. When I've had problems in the past with graininess it was due to bandwidth and a bit of lighting. Right now I use two floor lamps that I got at target. And one overhead light. One floor lamp has pink shades and the other has blue shades. Depending on the time of day I adjust them to get the right light that fits me. I hope you get it figured out soon!

Yup, I have one of those 5-bulb Target lamps too. :) It's awesome.

I always just right click the icon in the taskbar and select *webcam controller* instead of *software* and leave that open to zoom in/out. I find that my old c510 was more accurate in the colours and the c920 washes everything out. To compensate for the white washing effect I had to remove some lights and increase the saturation and also start doing my makeup darker. It's a pain but the quality is so much better that I don't wanna go back to the old cam. Hopefully you can figure out a way that works for you..if the lightbulbs help let me know cause I will try it for sure - since using this new cam my background looks extra BLAH and beige and DULL!
