I got hired!!!
I'm so excited! I went to the club tonight and auditioned and I got hired on the spot! I didn't work tonight though, my first night is tomorrow. But I'm still really excited!!!
I wasn't even embarassed when I was up there. Except when I couldn't get my dress off because I stupidly tried to take it off over my head. But other than that I felt fine!
I was more nervous about the girls watching than the guys. The guys are the whole point, but all the girls were staring at me too. I was just like- aren't you supposed to be doing something? Idk. I think I danced too fast, but one girl said I did a really good job and another said I looked really good. When I started the set there were no guys near the stage, they were all at the bar. But by the end there were five and I made like $20!
The bouncer was really nice and explained everything, how the club works, and that I have to hustle for dances if I want to make money, which I knew from reading this. I can't wait until tomorrow night!

Re: I got hired!!!
Good job! Don't worry about dancers watching you. Auditions are fun to watch and you'll probably be joining the watch-the-newgirl club soon enough, lol. Luck to you, read hustle hut and any advice for newbies threads if you haven't already! Be safe, too!

Re: I got hired!!!
Girls get bored, especially when there aren't many customers, and there isn't always much else to do than watch whoever is up on stage. Don't take it personally - like, it's not as if they think you're crap or amazing - you're just moving up there so there's something to watch.
Good luck tomorrow!

Re: I got hired!!!
Girls are intrigued when they get to see an audition from a girl who has *actually* never danced before. I've never gotten to see one, but I think I'd be watching too - out of pure fascination and nostalgia (it'd take me back to my first night!). They're used to seeing girls audition who have clearly been dancing for years.

Re: I got hired!!!
Update: I worked for the first time tonight, and made almost $600! And the girls in the dressing room were complaining that the club was dead! I still can't really believe it. My hustles aren't even good. Most of the dances I sold the guys asked for. I'm still hesitant to bring up the dances, even though I've read a bunch of threads on here. I'll make that a goal the next night I work. Apparently I also look lost a lot of the time, so I'll work on that too.
Also, in case I needed a reason not to take rejection personally: I saw the two most gorgeous girls in the club try to hustle this guy, and he said "maybe later" to each of them. Then, he comes up and asks me for a dance because, I kid you not, my dress reminded him of his doormat at home, which is very special to him. I didn't quite know what to say to that. Thank you? I got five dances from him, though. Guys are strange.

Re: I got hired!!!
Congratulations and enjoy that new girl money! It's great that you didn't have to hustle for your dances on your first shift, but I'm glad you recognize that you have to be able to do that. You can't always depend on customers coming up to you or popping the question, or else you'll find yourself wasting a lot of time on some shifts.
I find it helps to think of it this way: men come into the club because they want to spend time with a pretty lady, be in in a lap dance or VIP room. They are expecting to drop cash to get that. They WANT to drop cash to get that. You are the pretty lady offering dances or VIPs. By not offering them to each customer, you're pretty much depriving them of what they came for. So, when you offer them a dance or VIP, you're simply HELPING them have the experience they're looking for. ;)
