Why do dj's hit on the dancers?
ug can't stand djs like that!! there's one at my club who thinks he's such a little heartthrob pimp and likes to date a new girls every few months, i personally think he looks like a little midget haha..i went out with one at the first club i ever worked at and then decided we were not compatible ..he played me shitty music the rest of the time i worked there after that :(
lol @ "hearthrob pimp" - if some of these men could only see themselves like really?!?--- narcissism at its finest... aww that sucks - the music is kinda important! So it prob helps not to mix the two then (just in case things ever go south)
All dj's are like this in all my years of dancing. I've seen some get all pissy if you turn them down or sometimes even if you don't flirt back & they're only weapon against you is to fuck up your music sadly.I'm cordial but I still try to stay as far away from them if possible usually.
I often thought this was the purpose of why Djs go out of their way to play music at a strip club. I think there was a guy on here a ways back that asked a shit ton of questions about becoming a DJ at a strip club. It wasn't the " I'm really great at DJing and can't get gigs elsewhere so I thought of Djing at a club part time". It was like "I don't even know how to DJ but I want to be a strip club DJ because I'll have access to dating dancers".
A friend had a similar issue with a DJ where she worked. He hit on her she turned him down and he started fucking with her stage sets. Playing the wrong music or announcing her name half ass. There was even one time that he announced another dancer's name earlier than he was supposed to. Just shitty really. It's bad enough dancers have to deal with the overly grabby types but now sexual harassment from a DJ? Pfft it's sucks. My friend left that club and tried elsewhere.
I think I've been really lucky with djs - I've only had one or two that have the fantasy of dating all the dancers. One guy was already djing elsewhere and dating a dancer, so when the job opened at the club she worked at, it just made sense for him - he was awesome, although she would get jealous sometimes if you got a little too friendly...damn, was that an awkward situation!!
I find that the older the dj, or the longer they have been doing it, the less likely they are to hit on you. If you've been working in a strip club for ten years, I think you become fairly immune to it all - the first DJ I worked with used to say that he much preferred women IN clothing because he'd spent so long watching the damn stage!!
The only advice I can ever give is not to shit where you eat - especially if the DJ chooses your music!!
