Are you on MFC, JaneBurgess? I am not sure what sites you've are working these days. I find MFC is a truly strange beast, indeed.

Re: Anyone not get dolled up, glammed up to go on Cam? Just go as you are?
I wish I could go on cam without makeup. Having to wake up every morning, shower and do my makeup makes my eye twitch more than the men we have to talk to. I looked at myself on cam without makeup for the hell of it and DAMN I looked like Uncle Fester! No eyebrows, beady ass eyes with dark circles.. it was not a good look at all!

Re: Anyone not get dolled up, glammed up to go on Cam? Just go as you are?
When I first started camming it used to take me about an hour or more to get ready...I felt everything had to be perfect...now I just put on a tad bit of foundation, blush, mascara and lip gloss. There are also times now when I go on without any make up especially if I have just showered. It just depends on my mood. Other times I super glam it up lol
The answer though is no I do not get dolled up every single time now....and I don't feel it affects my $$$$ at all.

Re: Anyone not get dolled up, glammed up to go on Cam? Just go as you are?
Me camming without make-up? Not in my lifetime..
So,yes Im always 'glammed-up' when Im camming. Im not the-girl-next-door type either,
basically, In my case, I don't believe in less is more.. (maybe fake is more?/:O)
I think it boils down to what you feel comfortable in, what kind of persona you are/want to be and what makes you $€

Re: Anyone not get dolled up, glammed up to go on Cam? Just go as you are?
I've done both. There was a time I was wearing a wig, used foundation, eyeshadow, eyeliner, fake eyelashes, blush, lipstick. Lingerie that didn't suit my personality. But, I started to not feel like myself. I felt like my personality changed with my "new look", and my performance dropped. I didn't feel confident. I just felt fake.
I gave up with that look and decided to wear minimal makeup (foundation, eyeliner, mascara, and lipgloss.) and I began wearing what I normally wear. A tank top, sweat pants, shorts. My ratings sky-rocketted. I was getting complimented by my natural look, not some wannabe pornstar look. Plus, I felt much happier.
Embrace your beauty. Don't try to be someone you're not.

I am on MFC occasionally, but I would like to be on there more often. I was on there for a bit yesterday and the customers were really sweet.

Re: Anyone not get dolled up, glammed up to go on Cam? Just go as you are?
I don't wear a lot of makeup on cam. I put on a tiny bit, but not a lot. Occasionally I will wear more if I feel like it, but it doesn't seem like the amount of money I make is affected. I guess my cam appeal is that I'm incredibly girl next door, so it seems to be working for me.

Re: Anyone not get dolled up, glammed up to go on Cam? Just go as you are?
Hi, I'm new to this site (and to camming, just started a few days ago). I've only had make-up on once and that was only because I had a job interview earlier in the day. It's too soon for me to tell if the make-up makes a difference or not. None of the guys have ever commented on it either way, but I suck at doing my make-up anyway. lol

Re: Anyone not get dolled up, glammed up to go on Cam? Just go as you are?
As far as hair goes i just straighten or brush it. Makeup is another deal...
Moisturizer
sometimes just concealer sometimes foundation too
bronzer
blush
eye primer
eyeshadow
gel liner applied with an angled brush
eyelashes curled
two coats mascara
lipgloss, stick or balm.
I love makeup and it makes such a difference. I want to feel super bombshell like on cam. I don't want to feel plain jane. Which is how i feel without makeup.

Re: Anyone not get dolled up, glammed up to go on Cam? Just go as you are?
I never go on without SOME makeup on... basic eyeliner, some mascara, and I try to cover any blemishes on my face etc. I throw my hair into whatever and put on a t shirt and panties and find that I make way more money than if I'm sitting there all glamorous and in full get up... I honestly think men are still intimidated by our beauty, even over the internet, and it could turn them away to find someone who looks less dolled up but is still pretty, yanno? Esp. if they've been rejected by attractive/dolled up/expensive looking women in the past (unless they're into that sort of thing, but we all know thats a different can of worms!) Thats just my experience... But I LOVE getting all dressed up, it makes me feel so sexy, but with mascara and eyeliner and a t shirt yesterday I did better than before with my lingerie. :) Men don't want us trying to hard either... I think it really depends on your niche, too.

Re: Anyone not get dolled up, glammed up to go on Cam? Just go as you are?
I'm more of the geeky girlfriend / girl next door type; my regulars stick around because of how fun they think I am. So while I'm still not a very good camgirl (I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get more people to spend money on me), I do make more money on nights when I am just myself. I feel more comfortable, which puts my viewers more at ease, and it's just overall much more relaxed, which is what I go for in my room. I don't wear make-up unless my skin is funky (a couple of nights ago I had a raccoon sunburn, so had to wear powder to lessen the effect) or blemished; I'll wear basically whatever I would normally wear around the house. Maybe shorts, maybe panties, possibly a bra, maybe just a tank top. Viewers like the fact that I'm a klutz and sometimes I misspeak and I'm nowhere near being pornstar material. So I still don't make much, but I do make more.

Re: Anyone not get dolled up, glammed up to go on Cam? Just go as you are?
Yesterday i went on cam right after waking up, no brushed hair just in pony tail, no make up... did my workout with my cam viewers, a show and a few prvts and made my daily goal in less then a few hours....everyone kept saying how great i looked with no make up, in a sports bra and shorts and now i am convinced all the money i have spent on make up i never wear except for camming was all just a waste. They really all loved the messy sweaty me! LOL

thank you for your post, lol. I'm sure you looked nothing like uncle Fester. Dark circles though indeed are pesky. As a BBW camgirl i use preparation H on my puffy eyes and double chin lol. But any cam girl cause it to reduce swelling on love-handles, eyes, under the arm flab...etc. I wear makeup so that it looks like I am wearing not, and luckily my pale skin looks flawless on cam even though I can see all my blemishes in the mirror. so lip stain and a touch of mascara should do the trick.
i tend to sweat makeup off so i have to make sure it is waterproof or smudge-proof.
You should be doing both glamour and girl next door looks and vary them up daily. There are guys who like natural beauty as well as guys who like the porn star look. I often use wigs and hair extensions as well for an eye catching hair color change.

Does the Prep H leave a sheen behind? I recall it being gyclerin-based, and as I do wear a lot of makeup don't want to put it under my eyes and end up with mascara and eye-liner all over the place.

Re: Anyone not get dolled up, glammed up to go on Cam? Just go as you are?
Usually, I will put on a full face of makeup, but leave my hair to it's natural wavy state, or put it in pig tails. I did roll out of bed one morning and just combed my hair before hopping on cam. Custies didnt seem to care, but I felt less sexy.

Re: Anyone not get dolled up, glammed up to go on Cam? Just go as you are?
For months, I spent a good chunk of time getting as cute as possible which always took away from my available ACTUAL cam time. I never made more than a few dollars total. After getting frustrated, I just started logging on recently with a little foundation, chapstick, and hair brushed but natural, and sometimes didn't even worry about the foundation. I made more the last week than ever doing that. But, I'm just a down home country girl, wearing makeup doesn't come natural to me at all, and maybe that came across, I'm not sure. I by no means wish to disparage anyone who chooses to get glam for cam,it just doesn't work for me for some reason.
I guess everyone just does what works for them, and more power to you!! Do you booboo!

I do think this is very subjective. My bf constantly tells me I don't need makeup and grumbles if I spend too much time putting it on. For some guys, the ultimate fantasy is a girl that is so confident and comfortable with herself that she doesn't feel the need to wear any makeup.
On cam, I find it makes very little difference to my earnings whether I wear makeup or not. I would say that I'm more likely to wear makeup on a night out than I am on cam. If I wear literally no makeup on cam I generally get compliments about my natural look, but if I wear nice makeup, like a bright red lipstick, I would usually get compliments regarding that too. I find that nice lighting is probably most important.

Re: Anyone not get dolled up, glammed up to go on Cam? Just go as you are?
Meh, I rarely wear much makeup. I'll just do a bit of concealer under my eyes and a bit of eyeliner. Nothing spectacular.

Re: Anyone not get dolled up, glammed up to go on Cam? Just go as you are?
When we talk about makeup there is No make up at all or make up so even if its just eyeliner, lipstick or concealer IT IS make up.
Makeup is used from very little to a lot, i think it should be used if needed, means if on camera u look awful bare face then u need make up, if u look good without then go without, of course age is very important too, a very young girl can look amazing w.o any makeup but if u older u might need some 'help'.
I often saw performers that were looking awful, no make up on at all, they looked like they did not give a shit about their appeal, not good for business, i also saw girls wearing heavy make up that i considered its not needed that much but was maybe a disguise; all in all best is to take care of ur look no matter if light make up, none or heavy, all has to just fit ur figure, skin condition, age, style, the site u work on and so on, just find the balance.

Re: Anyone not get dolled up, glammed up to go on Cam? Just go as you are?
^ Exactly. I used to be very "anti-makeup" cause, as Alice said, I looked at it from an all-or-nothing point of view.
I don't wear any makeup IRL because I simply don't feel comfortable knowing I'm wearing it, even the tiniest bit. A part of me always feels "fake".
I do, however, know eye makeup looks fabulous on me, so I always go on cam wearing some cute eyeshadow and mascara, just to bring out my eyes (which get a lot of compliments). The custies still think I don't wear any makeup at all (lol, men), so it makes me feel even better.
In short, I think "natural" makeup on cam can make a HUGE difference. Of course, there are also girls that can pull off the "professional" makeup look and they appear stunning; I just, personally, don't feel like the "type".

Re: Anyone not get dolled up, glammed up to go on Cam? Just go as you are?
Feel free to move this, but on the subject of makeup to cam, has anyone tried the new CC Creme? It's supposed to be more coverage than the BB creme. Just wondering, because I hate having to put on a face full of make-up, especially lately, because camming has been so slow that I tend to log off after 20 minutes if i get pissed off enough!:toldoff:
Since makeup is so expensive, i'm trying to conserve the makeup i do have.
thanks, Glam

Re: Anyone not get dolled up, glammed up to go on Cam? Just go as you are?
It's so weird how much things change, with your look and your persona, or whatever. Back when my hair was chin length, I always got done up in smoky eyes and the whole nine yards. Now that my hair is longer, it seems to be better when I'm more..girl next door-ish. So I think a lot of it depends on your look!

Re: Anyone not get dolled up, glammed up to go on Cam? Just go as you are?
I don't anymore. I find that it's not really being valued so I don't put the effort in anymore. I'm tired of dozens of the compliments that aren't backed with $$$$. So I sit there ignore the room until I hear a chime where I talk.
