Re: What's your angle/character on cam vs. you in real life?
I am myself completely. I could act I suppose. But to me, the more fun in it is the psychological thrill of playing a guy's needs/desires to bank. My regulars commonly come in because they want to talk to me, and a couple want to just see my body while talking to me. Lol. It's all a fun game to play to me, watching what they ask about, seeing how they respond to certain things. I love to laugh, I love to talk, and I love to get paid. I tell them "Hey, this is my job." And the regs I've gathered respect that about me cuz I don't sell a 'fantasy' that I 'love' to be on cam for them. I can switch from being a baby girl talking to her daddy, to a sultry seductive woman, to a teaser, to the simple mom at work, cuz I'm all of them!
In the end it's all about your personal preference and style! I like being versatile and I like being me. As long as we're happy, and they're happy, that's what matters! =)

Re: What's your angle/character on cam vs. you in real life?
I'm pretty much myself, but a bubblier, flirtier, livelier version of myself. In my real life, I'm devoted to one man and one man only.
-
Re: What's your angle/character on cam vs. you in real life?
I play up my narcissistic traits on cam. I think I am Gods given gift gift to men when I'm on and they really buy into it. Hah, in real life I don't walk around talking about how hot I am, I just look like a normal chick. I also dress way sluttier on cam. I am 28, but dress like my former 21 year old self with short skirts, shorts, and cleavage complete with the top of my bra showing. But I tend to be real about the music and tv shows I like, things like that. Those things get me my regs.

Re: What's your angle/character on cam vs. you in real life?
Im much dumber, more vapid, more amenable, more simpler, much sexier, and much cleaner on cam.
Off cam - less to all of the above? If it is more of a roleplaying character, then less dumb and vapid but the rest remain the same. I also dont curse much unless it is dirty talk. Offcam I curse a fair amount.
I also laugh a lot more on cam. Especially if I dont know what to say or someone said something I dont understand or dont want to answer uh how me-not-on-the-clock would answer. Like
"Hey can you send me your full address? I wanna mail you my pubic hair"
Cam Me: "hahahaha youre so funny! Oh my god I cant do thattt hahahaha"
Real me: "Too many things wrong with this question. Lol my address-- your fucking pubic hair, what the fuck?"
^True story
Im only not in character when Im burned out. Like Via Flaminia I lose money but gain a lot of "never will pay" fanboys when this happens, so I try to stay off of freechat until I can switch back into camgirl mode. Ime over the past few years - indie and content are the only mediums of internet adult entertainment where my actual personality isnt a liability. Which is why I love clips4sale and niteflirt so much. But It just isnt lucrative (for me) otherwise. "Men" as a group dont really like me much irl lol, they dont. Tis the life of a sarcastic and reserved butterface tbh :'( (lol jk idc). IDK I get along well with and seek out women irl - always have, women arent my customer base though (holy shit I wish, whattttttttttttt).
I tried when I started webcamming to be me 100% - did a huge advertising push for it. For content it worked but I was just starting cntent and that takes time to build $$ wise - webcamming it didnt. I even tried MFC briefly then. Again epic tonof fanboys, but very few actual fans (aka people paying). So it didnt work out. Some of those fanboys still seek me out to this day and reminisce on years ago, but even when they find me again, still dont pay. So: liability.
I can get away with my regular old personality in other arms of the industry (except dancing lol that was an epic fail on my part) but webcamming is for the masses and I dont hav ethe patience to attempt again to be super innovative...... so gotta pantomime a low-rent socialite version of what sells en masse.
This is my cleaned up way of saying Im kind of a quiet slovenly homely classclown irl. If I couldve made that sell, Id do it. Ive tried. Kind of like GlamourRouge says 'you dont pick your niche, your customers pick it for you' is brutally true in my case.

But, yeah, I try not to play too into the "catering to pedos" thing, but I do oblige to the "Daddy" thing and try not to think too much about it. I already loathe men as it is, but, you know, it's a living. :) Anything blatantly disgusting/makes me uncomfortable as far as age and age-play go, I ban, no questions asked.
OMG another lolita camgirl! Gotta get that Angelic Pretty, BABY, IW, etc. etc. B)
EDIT: And by lolita, I mean the fashion y'all! No relation to the book even if it is one of my favorites!
Anyway, so that I'm contributing to the thread lol
I'm pretty much myself on cam in that I have a high pitched voice and I'm giggly and bubbly. I'm also firm when I need to be and a bit of a smartass when they try to beg or ask questions that I too sexual in free chat (but I'm always polite and cute about it! lol) I talk about my hobbies, my boyfriend, certain things that happen in my life (like moving, etc.), and, I don't get too personal, but I do always try to be honest about the things I do say.
At first I thought I should have some kind of persona, but I really don't know how to be anyone else lol I do end up attracting a lot of dudes that call me girlfriend material (in fact, it's one of my tags lol!), but they always come to my Gold Shows!

It is like you are my camming twin when it comes to experience in this industry.
I went a different way though. I end up with the whole mysterious/silent hustle because when I opened my mouth anything that came out of it was too smart/too geeky or too philosopher sounding. I learned quickly in my first year of camming that guys want to hang out and talk to girls like that....but they are only interested in having shows with the 'dumb' ones.
By never really saying anything and keeping whatever I do say super cryptic then I was actually able to get guys to tip me.
The moment I speak it is becomes story-time and the guys just crowd around and gaze lovingly at me with closed wallets.

Re: What's your angle/character on cam vs. you in real life?
Usually I don't alter my personality, but because it's been so slow i decide to try something new~I acted like a dumber Anna Nicole Smith, and the tips came rolling in, (without me asking for them, like I usually do), and have more prvts.:O
My Intellegence, and my way of speaking, never matches my (young for my age looking face), and my bimbo 'dumb blonde', big pouty lip appearance i guess.
Even IRL, people always tell me that until I opened my mouth, they thought I was a dumb blonde. Even if I'm wearing clothes to hide my body, and have no makeup on.
Go Figure!
Turns out, sucking on my finger and sounding like i'm from the south,(instead of my east coast accent), works in cam land. I hate it, but, what works works.:boggled:

Re: What's your angle/character on cam vs. you in real life?
I have six tattoos, so the innocent thing wouldn't work for me, I go for a kinky, experienced stripper persona-it may turn off guys who want someone young and innocent and guys that want milfs, but I do very well, so I guess it's working.

Re: What's your angle/character on cam vs. you in real life?
I'm a beginner at creating a cam persona, so still not sure what the final product will be. I used to be sort of slutty in real life until I got married last year. However, I seem to transmit the exact opposite: a cute little lolita that shouldn't even be talking about sex, let alone do it! lol I'm playing the role for the most part, though I'd like to attract a more... mature audience. I get lots of nice comments in free chat, but not many privates on SM. Guess men like me, but not enough to pay for it. Any advice?
Thanks and much love! xx

Re: What's your angle/character on cam vs. you in real life?
On cam- a sweet and simple girl that can babble on forever and giggles at every dumb thing anyone says.
Off cam- an anxious bitch that hates people or going out in public.
-
Re: What's your angle/character on cam vs. you in real life?
In real life: I generally avoid people who are not a part of the same subculture that I am; kind of an introvert (with exception of interacting with people online), I have a pretty limited filter when it comes to telling people off.
On cam: I'm reserved but friendly, and constantly surprise custies when I go from 'nice' to bitch goblin and back in the blink of an eye. I have a bone dry sense of humour anyway, and I warm up to my regulars. You gotta earn interaction from me.
-
Re: What's your angle/character on cam vs. you in real life?
I'm essentially myself now that I switched to MFC. I basically act how I would at a party where I cared about how I was perceived. I don't talk about my flaws unless I can do it in a funny way. I don't make up hobbies/interests because I'd rather chat about things that interest me. I do alter personal details for safety reasons, of course.
I look TOTALLY different on cam than IRL. I'm pretty andro IRL... very little makeup, same baggy American Apparel tank and shorts most days of the summer, messy hair, etc. I don't know that I'd make much less on cam if I didn't get glammed up--I'd just have to work that angle--but putting the whole look together makes it feel like work time so I'm sure to stay on long enough to make my goal. IRL, fake eyelashes and tons of face powder do NOT make me feel sexy.
Re: ageplay: I don't think there's anything unethical about it because it's between consenting adults. I have had guys take it further than I was comfortable with. Basically, schoolgirl/teacher roleplay or calling a guy Daddy is fine to me because it's honestly pretty vanilla and is just another form of power exchange, similar to BDSM. I do NOT tolerate guys who want to act out child abuse, violence, etc. and have banned guys who were tipping TONS just for PMs because they've gotten into that shit. Even that stuff isn't necessarily unethical if it's just a fantasy, but I'm just not okay with doing it myself.

Re: What's your angle/character on cam vs. you in real life?
My on cam persona is SIMILAR to the real me, only sweeter, more talkative, friendlier, smiles more, etc. It's like how I would act if I were single, looking to get laid as the only girl in a party full of hot guys, and I took a valium and drank a few beers.
That being said, I'm still definitely on the quieter, shyer end of camgirls. I don't talk a lot in free chat.
The real me is very boring though. I'm very cerebral, in my head most of my time and I'm a total recluse and going out in the world usually feels like a chore! I have no desire to chat with guys or get pounded by 12 inch cocks every minute of the day
-
Re: What's your angle/character on cam vs. you in real life?
Wow I love this thread...I feel so similar to all of you.
On cam-cute little Asian girl, sexy, confident, funny, flirtatious, bad bitch
Off cam-Anti-social, depressed, anxious, hate most people, but still a bad bitch lol
-
Re: What's your angle/character on cam vs. you in real life?
Reality: shoulder length hair that I keep pinned up, glasses, no makeup...lip gloss if its a special occasion, jeans and a band t-shirt or a blouse in black or varying shades of grey. People dont even curse around me because I look so "conservative" and most assume Im religious, go to church (I am not and I do not...lol) reserved unless Im telling a really bad / obscure joke then Im quiet again after everyone looks at me blankly (OMG!!! just realized how lame I sound.)
Cam (which ventured over into my escort persona) long highlighted hair, smokey eye, pink glossy lips, business suit / casual Friday or slinky black dress with frilly lacy pink / hot pink /magenta!!! / red and garters underneath, high heels, flirty, coy, quick with sharp comebacks, confident.
My alter ego is so different from me that Im completely mentally exhausted once I strip out of that and go back to just me. On the plus, no one would recognize me if Im dressed like my alter ego, and vice versa, which was why I started doing that for cam to begin with, to make myself look and behave as different as possible so that no one would recognize me.

Re: What's your angle/character on cam vs. you in real life?
I'm surprised to say that my two personas are fairly similar. On cam I'm just more relentlessly cheerful/positive, more flirty, more tolerant. Waaay more confident, at least physically. "Hell yeah I have a sexy asshole, let me zoom in for you!" Maybe a little more ditzy, but I tend to act ditzy with people I don't know well anyway. No reason to worry about saying something stupid if you act like maybe you really are stupid and don't give a fuck. Works even better in an environment like camming. Unfortunately I have major Bitchy Resting Face so my main issue is not looking bored/pissed off if I'm not constantly laughing and engaging the room.
Oh, and of course my cam persona has a boyfriend, goes to school and has a zillion orgasms a day. ;)

I have had about 3 different guys tell me my profile photos, in some cases make me look "bitchy". I'm like....I have almost 100 5/5 reviews....if I was "bitchy" how could I obtain that many in only 3 months :B
Apparently 'serious' faced photos, or just neutral faced photos....make them think "bitch".
Maybe I need to try a new approach and just upload photos of my face like :bitelip::bitelip::bitelip::bitelip::bitelip::bite lip::bitelip:
This thread is encouraging for me though...haha...I really wish I could work a more "sexual" type of vibe on MGF in my profile instead of trying to go for the "girl next door, I can be ya buddy~" type of thing...bahaha.

Re: What's your angle/character on cam vs. you in real life?
I'm pretty much the same besides being more open and comfortable with my sexuality
in real life I hate talking about sexual things even if its with a close friend or bf, just didn't
grow up like that I guess. annnnd most important im not as ghetto/ratchet Lol unless someone
pisses me off then my room is like wooooah that was sexy because my island accent comes out
I get lots of tips n prvts after, I can pull it off though but just don't do it .. must be a redd gyal thing
everything I say is cute even when im cursin ur name to the pit of hell lol Smh

It's just like when men on the street tell women to smile. We're supposed to always look agreeable and inviting, so they see a neutral expression as a negative one, something that has to be fixed. Fuck that shit, they can pay for smiles. (Side note: Wow, I just realized that a major reason that I find free chat so exhausting is from how much energy I expend appearing agreeable/inviting to guys who never end up spending. Maybe this epiphany merits some experimentation...)

Right? I wish I didn't feel so out of place doing the whole shameless nympho thing. It just feels SO over the top when I try but then again, look at some of the top cam models, not to mention the most popular female archetype in porn... It seems like for every custie who wants a low-key girl-next-door-behind-closed-doors persona there's three who want the woman who's soooo horny and needs a real man to cum all over her face right this minute, etc. Plus the latter might attract fewer clingy/white knight types.
I've gotten a little more assertive with good results so maybe there's hope. But my regs are always going on about how sweet/friendly/relatable I am so I don't want to jeopardize a good thing... hmmmm.

It's funny, I haven't had too many men tell me to smile, but DEFINATELY women. "You're so much more prettier when you smile!". For me, sometimes I know it's an honest compliment, other times they say it and, in that moment, I couldn't give two shits if they think i'd be more attractive if I were smiling, because...if I'm not smiling...I probably had a *really* shitty day with bad life shit going on and I am thinking about it haha.
I have a very "stern" look, when I am alone and out in public....it's definately a trained behaviour for me, since, if I look uninviting then I am hoping I won't draw attention to myself (I find 99% of the time male attention out in public is ALWAYS negative and degrading in some way lol).
I should tell the next guy that tells me I look like a bitch in some of my photos, that, he should give me a reason to smile and I'll take a new photo...haha.
and yes, the 'fake' high energy and being agreeable with new customers IS mentally exaughsting for sure. I find, I can keep up with it most of the time, but, it is VERY challening when I start to talk to the very boring "white knight" type of young guys. They always want to talk about how they haven't ever been in a true relationship, or they just want to make friends and not spend any $$$.
...The top cam models DEFINATELY just ooze sex appeal and oober horniness haha...it is amazing to watch. Some of them are so believable to just be able to keep it up...like it has become a second nature to them. I naturally do not have much of a sex drive as it is, so it's hard for me to "pretend" I have one online, even if I am just chatting. I can fake it in a video, for a couple minutes....but even my videos are very vanilla in the sense I am not like, a screaming convulsing sex goddess rofl....I just don't have it in me to try and act like I am having the best damn time of my life making that custom clip...haha.
I seem to attract the type seeking more "intellectual" stimulation with the whole girl-next-door thing.....I can tell because my reviews on my page have long, well written descriptions, while in compairison, a MGF girl that has a persona where she is super horny 24/7 has reviews that are like "she has fkn hot titties 5/5". It seems the alternative to my persona, is attracting the men just thinking with their penis and don't have a lot of....tact haha. I think I kind of just WANT to keep attracting the type of guys I get now because I don't like being reviewed like I am a piece of meat.
So much thought needed to go into this type of job....haha...people take it for granted if they think this is an "easy" avenue to make money. I remember one guy was talking to me about his job and he said something like "well at least all you gotta do is sit around in a pair of shorty shorts" :headache:

Re: What's your angle/character on cam vs. you in real life?
Well I think you should use that bitchy look to your advantage! I swear, men seem to find that hot. Like I can be in a great mood and happily going about my day, whatever. But when I'm pissed off and cant be bothered, its like guys are tripping all over themselves to talk to me. If I could pull it off without actually being mad I'd have so many guys to pick from. unfortunately when I'm pissed, fuck off is about as charming as I get lol so yeah. But a lot of them like that too, go figure.

That whole "smile" shit is so irritating IRL. I can understand somewhat on cam that we need to be attractive, because we want to make money... but people on the street telling me to smile is about them wanting me to look more attractive to their eye. It has nothing to do with my actual feelings. We're conditioned to think that it we're supposed to be attractive, inviting, and pleasing to men. And when women tell you to smile, it's the same thing. They think it's what we're supposed to do. What we exist for. Our appearance should NOT come before our feelings. This is one of the many reasons why I love camming. Sure I'm being objectified and seen as being purely for a man's pleasure, but I am taking control of the situation, taking their money, and putting an end to the whole thing if I feel disrespected. I'm in relative control of my objectification and I can do it with much more safety and security than in person.
sorry for the little rant. this shit's been on my nerves this week.

Re: What's your angle/character on cam vs. you in real life?
Omg I do the same thing! On cam I play a cute shy innocent bashful teen. In real life I'm really an outgoing Not giving a Fuck rebellious teen. My cam fans love it and always tell me how much they like me because its a break from all the mean girls and overlly slutty chick. I love my cam persona though it keeps me balanced :)
-
Re: What's your angle/character on cam vs. you in real life?
Im a domme on cam, a money hungry, greedy and bully. IRL, I hate money and am a pushover....
-
Re: What's your angle/character on cam vs. you in real life?
I'm very forceful and a "take no shit" kinda gal on cam...I don't give the benefit of the doubt...either prove yourself or gtfo. In real life I'm very sweet, quiet, and nice and hate confrontation. Not sure if these guys bring out the worst in me or if I just do it because it works...but I enjoy being a bittersweet bitch on cam!
