Gowns and Mary Jane shoes?
Do you guys know if there are any gowns (style, color) that can work with shoes like this in white:
http://www.amazon.com/Pleaser-Womens...=cm_cr_pr_pb_t
Would it only work with white gowns? All white would look terrible against my pale skin (oh noes, it's really hard to find shoes that work for me) :-\
Re: Gowns and Mary Jane shoes?
gown clubs tend to be strict on other things so make sure you can actually wear those. ive never seen someone wear those before. any pastel would look good, baby pink and light or bright yellow would look best.
Re: Gowns and Mary Jane shoes?
Do pastel gowns work well on pale skin? Pastel tanks don't look bad on me, I'm worried that something full length will make me washed out...
Or I just have to return these shoes. Ugh. If only my feet weren't so picky!
Re: Gowns and Mary Jane shoes?
IMO those shoes go with a schoolgirl outfit, not a gown.
Re: Gowns and Mary Jane shoes?
I would not wear those with gowns! I have a white pair of closed toe with a tiny opening in front that looked good ith gowns and stockings( they were at least 6 inches or more. I cant find them but I think they were jante? I've seen them in pleaser, ellie or tony's though.

I agree. Guys would eat that up!
Re: Gowns and Mary Jane shoes?
If you really want to wear mary-jane shoes with a gown, get ones that have a skinny heel. The combo of the shoes in your picture... with a gown... it's a bit odd... at least it seems odd to me.
Will guys care? Probably not. If your club allows it, give it a try.

This is totally the most important point. Guys aren't usually looking or giving fucks about your footwear.
Re: Gowns and Mary Jane shoes?
They wouldn't really suit/wouldn't look sexy or feminine when paired with a gown IMO :( (they would look better with a costume of some sort, mini dress or two short piece etc). They are too "clumpy"-stick to "stiletto" type heels if you are working at a gown club. If you have your heart set on them then I would ask a manager about the dress code-most gown clubs don't allow boots, or thicker heels, so it would be a shame to spend money on these if you can't wear them.
Re: Gowns and Mary Jane shoes?
I think those would work at the beginning of the night, but be warned that closed toe shoes SUCK when you're wearing them for hours at a time! If you're having a hard time walking in the heels try some Pleaser wedges or a shorter heel.
Re: Gowns and Mary Jane shoes?
those would be adorable with a school girl outfit as mentioned, or some other kinda girl-next-door/Lolita outfit! but definitely not a gown or anything super sexy/professional/mature looking. it would look seriously off and a little funny
Re: Gowns and Mary Jane shoes?
You cannot wear that would a gown. It would look awful plus it's probably not even allowed.

Depends on the club, really. I have seen a gal from Canada wear one of those onezie wrap swimsuits and puma sneakers for stage.
It could look awful, sure, but if a stripper sees that her outfit isn't working... she'll change it.
Trial and error is part of the job. And... oddly enough, some of the craziest looking outfits work well for certain people.
I've seen some shit..... http://i3.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/...70/797/9c4.jpg
