Newbie willing to make some money for camming
Hi everybody 8)8) I recently found cam4.com and I really liked to show myself there! My idea was not to make money initially but then I realized that I COULD actually do it and that it would maybe be a further turn on, as I am an exhibitionist. However, they require that I send them my ID and that I show my face at least on the first show. I DO have a problema with showing my face, since I don't want to risk any complications in my personal and professional life (I'm a teacher... I can't risk losing my job) just to fulfill my fantasy of being na exhibitionist and making some money. Is there any way I could receive money in an anonymous (yet legal) way? Otherwise I could just do it free... or get tips but not collect them... But then... the idea of some extra profit is also alluring! }:D

Re: Newbie willing to make some money for camming
If your worried about being recognized, camming may not be for you.
Also, cam4 specifically makes you show your face so they can prove it's you.
Hmmm, your situation is an interesting one.

Re: Newbie willing to make some money for camming
If you're wanting to make money, then you're going to have to submit ID with your SSN as you will have to file taxes later via 1099, and they are verifying that you are not a minor.

Re: Newbie willing to make some money for camming
Humm maybe I should forget this and just go on having fun with the free shows or skype shows...
But I'm still wondering if I could profit it in some other ways (not through cam 4)... maybe there's a method for making the guys pay without giving my bank account directly (which is dangerous)... or having them pay for things that I want to buy (lol)... but in the second case maybe they would be able to see the address where the product is delivered :P
Well, just wondering :P maybe you girls have better ideas on that :)
Thank you very much for your answers!!

Re: Newbie willing to make some money for camming
I know there are some girls that don't show their face. It helps, though.
You can always block states so nobody can recognize you.
Or, get a masquerade mask. I've seen girls use them and do well.

Re: Newbie willing to make some money for camming
Your post is an interesting one because I don't think we see many girls here who actually do it for the thrill of it (not saying girls don't enjoy it, but money is usually the main motivation for most here lol)
I would be very careful since your vanilla job is a teacher and having any kind of affiliation with sex work could really be terrible for you. As mentioned though you could try a disguise. Wig, mask, heavy makeup. But as far as not submitting the documents, you're not going to be able to get away with that one. They need those to make sure you're of age and they are very serious about that.
You were asking about having people send you things and there are Amazon wish lists, but the problem with that which I've had first hand is people can see your city which is why I stopped using it.
Do NOT give your bank account info. There are some third party payment processors you could take payments through for skype shows, but I'm not that familiar with them all. Maybe one of the Indy girls can help on this? I know you can do private loads from Payoneer. I've done it before. What ever you do though DO NOT go through PayPal!! You're probably going to get a lot of guys ask to pay you through PayPal and don't do it.
Good luck!

Re: Newbie willing to make some money for camming
A mask and a wig sound fun :) :) and I could paint my lips to make them rounder and sexier :P
I would still have tp send them my ID for the company to check, but as long as my face is not seen online... I think it's ok...

Re: Newbie willing to make some money for camming
in chaturbate, you do need to submit a pic of your face with the ID for file, but otherwise you're not required to ever show your face. I've seen several girls who do great and they never show their faces, or only their lips. Or you don't want to submit a picture of your face, at all?
ETA: I think my motivation is 50% exhibitionism, 50% business.... but I'm turning out to be terrible at the business part LOL.

Re: Newbie willing to make some money for camming
There is one model who doesn't show her face on SM. But she offers pretty hardcore shows and is known for having a super hot body. So if you can do that, it might work for you too. Even with a wig and heavy makeup you could always be recognized. Esp if you have any beauty marks, scars, tattoos, etc.

Re: Newbie willing to make some money for camming
You will need to pay taxes on your camming income if you do decide to persue this as a money-maker, which could / would (depending on where you're based) leave a paper trail whether you decide show your face on cam or not.
A post I made here recently - https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sh...=1#post2508911 - explains a little of the possible ways you can jeopardize your personal life.
Like you, I also was a camera exhibitionist LONG before I became a camgirl, and whilst my fetish of exhibitionism sharpened my knowledge on all manner of skills where camming and photography is concerned, make no mistake: Camming for your living is not exhibitionism. Camming is a business. And speaking as an exhibitionist myself, I cannot get off when I am working because I am focused on my clients, and their needs. Not mine.
When I am camming for my livelihood, I am working. I ensure I am presented well, that I am being professional, I am doing all in my power to encourage tippers: I am hustling.
When I cammed for thrill, (NOT on a camsite!) I didn't give a shit about lighting, angles, hustling, encouraging tips... All I cared was that I was visible and that people were jerking to me.
Camming for money and camming for sexual thrill are two extremely different things. The mindsets of each are almost opposed to one another because one wants to make money from the pleasure of others; the other wants pleasure on the free viewing of others.
Getting into camming can change your life, and when you are a "high risk" camming candidate (e.g. you have a professional teaching career that camming could put at risk), you need to start weighing pros and cons, and how worth it this is to you ~ especially if your motivating factor is just some quick thrills, rather than an actual career move and lifestyle change (which camming brings about through various factors such as your relationships with those around you who may take this hard; possible secrecy; isolation; difficulty forming romantic relationships, etc, etc)..

Re: Newbie willing to make some money for camming
If you were in any other profession, I would probably say go for it. But teaching is one of those areas where doing any kind of porn someone might find someday could ruin your career. Unless you are considering leaving teaching for camming or another industry, I would not pursue this.

Re: Newbie willing to make some money for camming
You all made very good points... namely that doing it for Money is not the same as doing it for fun, which makes sense...
I found the idea of the amazon wish list interesting, since I could send things to my hometown and not to the place where I'm actually teaching...
Then there is the personal sphere... my boyfriend has no idea about this, but I do have the exhibitionism fantasy and maybe it is better if I try to entertain myself this way (since we're only seeing each other every two months). my bf doesn't want to have cybersex with me and I'm feeling horny as hell and I have to channel this energy somewhere. There are two attractive guys after me (not from the school anyway) and I need to sexually entertain myself so that I stop thinking about real temptation. Maybe the virtual world will keep me entertained until I see my boyfriend again :P :P
Thank you all for your time :)

Re: Newbie willing to make some money for camming
I'm with everyone who's posted above...unless by teacher you mean prof at a liberal college in a liberal big city I would NOT take this risk. The stakes for you are really high.
the thing about camming, even if you only accept bitcoins and giftcards (since you don't really care about the $$$$ either would be viable options for you) guys can still record you, find your IP through your messenger ID. There is no foolproof way to prevent an online footprint when you're working online.
since this is to fill a personal need, not a financial goal, I'd suggest talking to your guy about what you need and what's missing, and work together to find some way to get what it is you need/crave without jeopardizing a career you're worked hard to attain. Not really what you were asking, I know, but since your motives are based on emotion rather than $$$ I'd really suggest working on that before choosing to do something that could get you fired in a really public way (beyond the risk of losing your job if found out, the media eats that shit up)
good luck with whatever you decide to do

Re: Newbie willing to make some money for camming
Every once in a while, we would have newbies on here asking about doing camming to fulfill a personal need and my advice is always to NOT do it. Don't gamble your teaching career over this after you've invested so much time and money into earning that degree just to fulfill some sexual need through camming.

Re: Newbie willing to make some money for camming
I agree with all the girls- I have an awesome career in the pastry world and its unique because no one cares what you do BUT you are a teacher and there are serious consequences that come with the industry unfortunately. If you ever think about leaving teaching then I would say go for it, camming has made my life better and I have never been happier since I have a cool balance.

Re: Newbie willing to make some money for camming
If you work in the teaching industry (or even the child care industry), you're taking a big risk in camming. On this forum we've talked about real-life stories where school teachers have lost their jobs because of adult work they'd done in the past. And not just camming, but I'm talking about things like nude modeling. A while back, American Idol contestant Frenchie was disqualified from the competition just because she had posed topless previously.
If you are happy working as a teacher and only plan to cam for the fun of it, then instead of signing up to work as a cam girl, I think you should just webcam chat on Skype with a male friend or boyfriend (someone you know in "real life"). But working as a cam girl means that you'd be broadcasting webcam video live to several men all over the world. And there are a lot of cam site members out there who like to record video of cam girls' shows, capture screen shots of the models when they're live, and plaster cam girls' videos/photos on other sites/forums for others to watch. I don't think you should work as a cam girl, given your situation.

Re: Newbie willing to make some money for camming
Oh by the way, if you just want to whore it up on cam, try Adultfriendfinder.com where you can do that! Even PlentyofBeast.com where plenty of men that just want to hook up and be exhibitionist without having an adult history on your record check.

Re: Newbie willing to make some money for camming
Cristina, I also am trying to protect my identity. You should block the states where you know people know you, like your home state or where you live now, or where your children live. Of course I sent my true identification in when signing up on a sight as a model, but I don't post my direct face pic on the main page of my profile. If someone recognizes me, then they would have to had dug deep and then they are here for reasons similar to why I am here...I enjoy sex! I hope this helps.

Re: Newbie willing to make some money for camming
Skype shows won't protect you. Anything you broadcast on the internet can be easily recorded and posted everywhere. It's always a risk.
-
Re: Newbie willing to make some money for camming
Because you are a teacher, I would say that you should definitely not do it... if discovered (which is probable) you will get fired and blacklisted from ever teaching again. That just happened to a teacher, and she wasn't camming, she just had a profile at model mayhem for modeling only. So if modeling in a risque fashion can get you fired, there is no doubt that the sex-biz has far worse implications. Just my two-cents of course.

Re: Newbie willing to make some money for camming
You are playing a game.
This isn't a game when it comes to the web.
Guys will record your cam shows & then put them up on tube sites for all to see.
You are risking your whole career for a bit of fun on the web.
Seriously....
Really...
You being found out risk level 99%
FACT is you probably told a best friend or confided in someone even if they don't live in your area. Word will get out. You will be found out. There are NO secrets on the web. Just because you feel the thrill & anonymous you are NOT.
What happens when you of those guys you play with gets obsessed. Google image search will pull up any pic you or friends have posted on the web with your REAL NAME, or your facebook page & such. ARe you hiding your IP address when you play on cam or email these people? Guess what that IP address leads to your REAL NAME & address.
Sign up to any cam company. When the school district runs a background check or credit history check this job will come up.
What if you are playing sexy cam games with a MINOR! Cause how are you verifying who you expose yourself to is of age? Now you are really risking your job.
Is the thrill really worth it?
There is a price to pay for everything. To think you can get around it or not get caught is down right laughable.
Sam
