Has anyone ever work overtime??
I am new to camming. I havent start yet, but I just got my new laptop and I plan on starting sometime this week. I got the idea to do this after my friend told me how much she made after 1 week of working and stories of her friend who has been working on sites steadily for a while now making real BANK. I thought of this before I needed the money & now I really need the money. Question is...Has anyone here worked 100 hours a week for about a month or just 100 hours a week for one week??? And did it build clientele fast, did you make tons of money or nothing at all?? Were the hours way too much for your life/brain?? (I am a student & its summer, so free schedule.) Thanks a bunch;D
Re: Has anyone ever work overtime??
Since you haven't cammed yet, the only way to tell if you can stand that many hours is just to do it.
I think you will find that camming is more exhausting than you would expect.
Re: Has anyone ever work overtime??
It's exhausting, but I put in 100-hours a week usually... I even cam when I'm on vacation. But, that's probably not normal because most girls don't have the time, and of course, as Laurie and I said, it's EXHAUSTING.
Re: Has anyone ever work overtime??
3-5 hours a day, 5 days a week, is more than enough for me. It's not just the shows...free chat can be very draining.
Re: Has anyone ever work overtime??
^ I agree. It's the free chat that darins me out of energy. If I have a good day, I can easily go on for 8 hours straight and I forget about the outside world. But... slow day? Point a gun to my head and I won't stay on for more than 2-3 hours.
Re: Has anyone ever work overtime??
That's like 14.5 hours a day.
I commend any girl who has the stamina to do that on a consistent basis! I've started camming again after two years last night. I did 8 hours and spent about 3.5 working on new pictures and clips and I was EXHAUSTED when my head finally hit that pillow!
Re: Has anyone ever work overtime??
omg camming is exhausting i do like 2-4 hours at the most. O.O and i find it exhausting.
sounds like cake but its physically and mentally exhausting.
Re: Has anyone ever work overtime??
Never over, always under!
Re: Has anyone ever work overtime??
Thanks so much everyone. I'm going to try it, will let everyone know the results!
Re: Has anyone ever work overtime??
Try Working U.S. time after midnight. You can charge what You want and only have to cam for 2 hours a few times per week to make bank.
Re: Has anyone ever work overtime??
I will definitely take that into consideration. I'm going on for my first time in a couple of hours. I think I'm going to try and challenge my self and see how long I can stay on, it may be a good method figuring out which times are best for me & maybe get a peek into what pay may be like, idk. I think if I try my max I might be able to strategize building a clientele base faster.
Re: Has anyone ever work overtime??
Best of Luck!! Let us know how it was camming during the day.:highfive:

Different times work for different people. You should change those "you"'s to "I"'s, lol! Those times certainly don't work for me!
It's really best to try and test on your own, figure out what works best for you, and keep working that.
Advertising a specific time zone could also result in that time zone NOT being quite so profitable for you!
I'm not usually one to say things like that, but if enough people actually read and reschedule because they all think they'll make bank and they only "have to cam 2 hours a few times per week" (an extremely glamorous invitation for many, I am sure), then sure enough it'll be so flooded and NO ONE will make as much bank! :)
Re: Has anyone ever work overtime??
^^True. Then that's when daytime will work again.
Re: Has anyone ever work overtime??
I couldn't do it - not only because it is so draining (actually, I find that once I am on, it is ok, depending on how busy it is) but because I simply don't HAVE that many hours free in a day. Like someone else said...that's 14+ hours a DAY, 7 days a week.
Don't know what is going on in your life, but I have to spend about 3 hours a day taking care of my dog, at least 6 sleeping, at least 1 hour showering and putting on clothes and makeup and setting up lighting/cam/computer/replying to e-mails/tweets/updates/etc, around 2-3 hours cooking and eating my 2-3 meals, probably around 1 hours a day doing "other" stuff (grocery shopping, laundry, dishes, running errands, buying stuff, banking, etc - it's not an hour every day, but yesterday I spent 5 hours going to a couple different Dr appointments, and I volunteer a couple hours a week), and I try to hit the gym every other day, which evens out to be like an hour a day (including travel time). Which means that life takes up 14hours of my day! That gives me ten hours MAX to work, assuming that I don't watch tv, see my friends, take a class, come on here, or, well...do ANYTHING else. Oh, and that doesn't include the nights that I work at the club, which knocks another 4-5 hours out. Leaving 6 on cam.
For me, 14hours a day would only be doable if I was staying in 24/7, had no pets, no relationship, no other commitments, and either ordered everything in, had a chef, or microwaved nasty ready meal crap. Or didn't sleep. And frankly, no amount of money would make that worth it to me.
If you ARE going to give it a go, I would try and schedule in breaks, make sure you stay hydrated (UBER hydrated), take extra vitamins and supplements (because you will be pushing yourself), look into stretches and eye pressure massages so that you don't hurt yourself sitting staring at a computer all day, and have a think about the kind of shows you are going to do. 14 hours a day of frantically pounding your pussy is just going to freaking HURT - spreading out countdown shows, gold shows, and non-nude fetish stuff will help your body keep going.
And don't beat yourself up if you find that you are struggling. While some camgirls manage the marathon shifts, few do it every day for a month! Its a lot harder than it seems.
Re: Has anyone ever work overtime??
OP: Did you try it and how did it go?
Re: Has anyone ever work overtime??
I have had days where I stayed online very long (like 9, 10 hrs) only because there was a paying customer who kept me in paid chat for hours and I didn't want to tell him, listen, I have to go. But other than that, more than 4 or 5 hours online is too much for me (the draining free chat as mentioned). It's not easy to stay looking fresh and full of energy all this time, to deal with annoying people, freeloaders, etc. Also, staying online many hours doesn't always mean more money. I'm also one of those people who need a lot of hours of sleep, or I simply can't function properly, and sleeping during the day is much harder.
Re: Has anyone ever work overtime??
Overtime to me is working 6-8 hours a day a.I never go over 8 hours .yes i do work overtime. Especially since its summer, but sometimes i'll make my goal in three hours and still stay on cuz you never know when a super slow day will hit and you need the extra money you made from yesterday to make your weekly goal.
Good luck on working 100 hours a week. Please don't drain yourself and hate camming.
Re: Has anyone ever work overtime??
20 hours a week is more than enough for me to want to go postal and shoot everything with a penis in the face.
The first week of camming is in no way indicative of what you'll be making a few months down the road. New girl status is gold and most guys just stay in that section, not following a particular girl once she's off the page.
