Anyone still live in their hometown?
Just wondering... Do you still live in your hometown or the place you graduated from high school? If you don't, do you miss it? Would you move back one day? What made you move? Idk, I know this sounds like a short answer question on a quiz or something...lol I'm just wondering what yalls experience is ::)

I do not live in my hometown anymore and I do miss it sometimes. I came from a smaller town and I miss the small town feel and my old go-to spots. I doubt I would ever move back home, but if I move back to the area I'd go to a neighboring town. I moved away for college.
Re: Anyone still live in their hometown?
I live pretty close, but far enough to stay fairly sane. My mother is undergoing treatments for cancer right now, but once she is better, I intend to move about 60 miles farther for a better club, then save money to move out of state. My hometown really sucks (very rural ignorant area), so I'm cool with not returning after the big move and already hate visiting now.
Re: Anyone still live in their hometown?
I don't and I don't miss it. I was born in a city that's known for rich people (low taxes), but we weren't rich and it was SO annoying when people knew where you're from and go "ohhhh so you're like loaded". No. Shut up. Plus there were lots of snobs and I didn't really get along with the kids at school either. I like to visit it sometimes now, but I could NEVER live there... Couldn't afford to anyway even if I wanted to!
I've moved around a lot, lived in many cities/towns. I don't feel particularly connected to any place really. I actually like moving to a new place, it's exciting :)
Re: Anyone still live in their hometown?
Yes, I live in Fremont,CA
Lived here all of my life. If your not familiar its a city in Northern California (Bay Area) about 30 miles from San Francisco/San Jose/Oakland.
I like it here because I know this place like the back of my hand, everything is familiar and I know where to go for whatever I need.
I'm 26 and by 30 I plan to be living in L.A.
Thats where I wanna spend the remainder of my life and die there.

Nope, I live about 40 miles away. I moved because ya know, 19 year olds wanna try being on their own, and school was here.
I would move back as I haaaaate this city and most of my close friends still live at home. And I liked living on several acres of property.
Re: Anyone still live in their hometown?
i love and hate it. i moved away around 2 and a half years ago.. i was born in canada and moved every two years as a kid..but the closest thing i ever had to a hometown was a tiny little white-trash town in nh. 15 year there.every nook and cranny has a bitter-sweet memory..i would love to move back, its so rural and peaceful and familiar. but the economy sucks there, no jobs available.
Re: Anyone still live in their hometown?
I don't and I really don't miss it and never plan to move back. I moved away for school, though the reason I picked one so far away was because I wanted to get out of there and do something different. My town isn't horrible and I actually enjoy visiting it, but I think that's just because I like my friends and family there, not because the town is actually cool (it's so damn small). This year, I actually was planning on moving back for a year, but I really didn't want to actually do it, so I found other ways of making/saving money and kinda pissed off everyone back there by being like "Hey, never mind - sorry to get your hopes up."
If I get into the teaching exchange program I want next year, I might move back for the last 2-3 months I'm around since I'll be moving out of the country for at least a year, but other than that, I have no desire to go back for more than a week at a time.
Re: Anyone still live in their hometown?
I do. I moved away then came back. I am fifty-fifty about it. I like the people here but I'm not a fan of the weather and there's just not much going on (besides murders and rapes) and not much money floating around. The flipside is that if you DO get some money you can live pretty well since housing is cheap. I may move when I finish school. I don't know yet.
Re: Anyone still live in their hometown?
I don't live there anymore, and in another few years, no one else will live there either...Detroit...
;D

No worries, Peace out.
Re: Anyone still live in their hometown?
I spent 1/2 my childhood in a small town in Michigan and the other 1/2 in a medium town in Minnesota. Moved away when I was 17 with no desire to ever move back. Great places to grow up but I needed to move on.
