I can't be the I only stripper who feels like this after waking up from work
Every time I wake up from work I feel wired; as in wide awake yet very tired. I am always in need of nap yet can't sleep until hours and hours later.
I get home after work, shower then fall asleep like a baby. Then i wake up and feel wired. It's like I need a nap after my sleep to feel myself again. During my wired times I can't read, watch tv etc.... I'm just not feeling right.
I do have a few Drinks at work which I'm sure is a huge factor.
anyone else ??? Please share!

More details like
what time do you go to sleep? How many hours do you sleep each night? Is your sleep schedule consistent?
Could be insomnia which is caused by a number of things like medications, caffeine, mood disorders, shift work, etc or just maybe something in your environment that could use a change.
Alcohol while its a depressant can interfere with your sleep causing restlessness.

I'm allegedly bipolar, and drinking makes me feel like that exactly. I can sleep for maybe two hours after I've had a few drinks. Many things that are supposed to make a bipolar person tired will actually cause the opposite. I'm not trying to e-diagnose you over here or whatever; what you describe just sounds very familiar. Alcohol in general can cause sleep disturbances, but if you have other symptoms of bipolar disorder, maybe you should consider it.

Make sure you drink a big cup of water and eat something with at least a little bit of carbs and lots of protein in it before you go to sleep. That should help process any alcohol left over from work. When you wake up right away eat something with protein in it: yogurt, nuts, a slice of cheese. I feel similar sometimes when I wake up though it has nothing to do with working or not, but it is usually more noticeable if I drink the night before (even a little bit, 2 or 3 drinks) I get this burst of energy, nervous energy, which then turns to nauseau, and subsides slowly over the first hour or two after I wake up, but I find the protein definitely helps first thing in the morning, my doctor recommended I try this as when you eat fruit, or carbs first thing it makes your blood sugar and energy levels spike then crash, protein makes your blood sugar rise and fall much more gradually.

I feel this way when I'm stressed out. Physically tired, can't sleep at all.
I just want to sit at my computer and watch TV all day.
Perhaps it's a stress issue?
